But when Muslim terrorists attack a Christian city creating tens of thousands of refugees, you couldn’t pay the media to cover the story, whether it’s in Syria, Egypt or closer to home in the Philippines.

Philippine troops have started to battle their way into coastal villages in the south where Muslim rebels have held scores of residents hostage in a six-day standoff, sparking fierce clashes that have killed 56 people and displaced more than 60,000, officials said Saturday.

President Benigno Aquino III said more firefights were expected but assured more than 62,000 displaced villagers being sheltered at a sports complex in Zamboanga city that the rebels’ capability to sow trouble has been degraded and the government was working to end the crisis soon.

Zamboanga is the 6th largest city in the country and 3/4 Christian and an obvious target for the MNLF Muslim terrorists (who are of course denying responsibility and blaming a rogue leader). It’s an obvious target because of its central influence in Mindanao. It’s the city that Muslims want. And it’s likely that the MNLF is finding shelter in the Muslim parts of the city.” Source – Frontpage Mag.

    The original article is not titled accurately. Contrary to the title of the article, some media outlets have covered the story, namely FOX, CNN and Reuters. A quick Google search confirms this.

    Also, the term “ethnic cleansing” I think is also inaccurate. According to recent news, only 10 civilians have been killed, and by a relatively small band of MNLF. These Muslims thugs have torched many civilian houses though and destroyed as much as they can. I believe the 60,000 being “displaced” is accurate, since cities like Zamboanga are densely populated with houses 2 inches from each other and nobody wants to be in a war zone.

    I hope that this Muslim encroachment will not spread to areas a outside of Mindanao. It is an act of war, but that’s nothing new for Islam. It’s been at war with the non-Muslim world for 1400 years. As long as concessions favor Muslims (as they always seem to do), we should expect more incidents like this.

    Unfortunately, it may affect the Philippine island I live on since the latest politically correct and well-meaning concession to the Muslims was to allow them a greater territory (now called “Bangsamorro”) for semi-autonomous rule, territory that now includes at least part of Palawan. Some people would call the neogitations absolute stupidity. Indeed, it was unwisely brokered and then hailed by the president and others as a great achievement for peace but the MNLF and MLIF were not required to disarm Obviously it was a disaster. This rebel assault demonstrates that there can be no treaties, no negotiating with armed Muslims. Muhammad taught them not to honor treaties with non-Muslims.

    Qur’an 9:3 “Allah is not bound by any contract or treaty with non-Muslims, nor is His Apostle.”

    Ishaq:552 “When the populace settled down, Muhammad went to the Ka’aba and compassed it seven times on his camel, touching the Black Stone with a stick. Then he went inside the Temple. There he found a dove made of wood. He broke it in his hands and threw it away.”

    The Bible shows that Jesus will destroy all who oppose Him; those who follow the Muslim antichrist (Rev 19:20-21), those Muslim nations that surround and are in the vicinity of Israel (Psalm 82) and Jerusalem and all unrepentant sinners (Rev 21:8). Though I do not wish hell fire on anyone, it is a Biblical fact that Muslims who remain unrepentant and do not believe on the LORD Jesus Christ of the Bible are going to suffer hell and an eternal lake of fire.

    Well aimed missiles aimed at the Kaaba and bulldozing that abomination of the Dome Of The Rock wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

      Hi Mike, Daniel Greenfield is likely also drawing from the decades of Islamic lawlessness, rebellion and wars in the Philippines that have killed and displaced tens of thousands of the country’s Christian majority, not just the recent uprising per se. Islamists in the south have been attempting to create an Islamic state free of Christians (ie. cleansing, either through death or displacement) since the 1970s, but this is something we rarely hear about in the mainstream news (and even the recent fighting is often only mentioned in passing or buried under more “important” news, like Miley Cyrus or the lack of black female models, as if to infer that what is happening to Christians in the Philippines and elsewhere isn’t worthy of more significant attention).

        Obama in his own words, taken from his own book, I’ll paraphrase; if things should turn in an ugly direction in the Middle East, “I will side with the Muslims.” From his speech in Egypt, “we have never been at war with Islam, nor will we ever be.”
        It is for these reasons, and many more, that I detest the way the media, FOX included, are portraying Obama’s foreign policy in the Middle East as, feckless, confused, incompetent, and incoherent.
        His foreign policy has been framed, by him, detailed, and executed with precision, by him. Everything from his shabby treatment of Netanyahu, to his use of our national treasury to fund Islamic terrorism around the globe.
        If Obama were serving as a leader of any Islamic country, he would be hailed a genius, a rock star in the service of Allah’s. No one could be this consistent without intent.

    When all is said and done, and Islam rules the West, I wonder what the reaction will be from all of those who nourished and aided its rise to power? When they suddenly realize that they too must now live under its demonic yoke, and that this murderous, deviant, and oppressive ideology is what they surrendered their souls for. I don’t envy them!

    ICA, if the author was referring to the number of casualties in the entire conflict, the 60,000 figure is way off. The number of actually displaced from the entire conflict is more than 930,000, based on Wiki’s report of…

    “President Estrada’s “All Out War” strategy declared in 2000 led to the displacement of more than 930,000 individuals.”

    That number does not include the numbers of displaced prior to 2000 and those displaced just recently.

    As far as the number of casualties, it should be over 120,000 by now.

    If you read several articles about online about the same topic, you will see that the 60,000 is referring to displaced people at Zamboanga during this recent uprising, not the entire conflict since its beginning.

    Here is a quote from a recent report…

    Daniel Greenfield is correct though that the general conflict (which is really a Muslim act of war) has been underreported.

      You are correct. To touch upon the title of the original article, I do agree with Greenfield that “ethnic cleansing” includes both killing and displacement. It is all part of the Islamist agenda to rid “their area” of non-Muslims.

    Yes, I agree. It is just part of the Islamist agenda to conquer for Islam. Now that they have the new “Bangsamorro” area (but have not turned in their weapons), they have new, wider borders to reinforce and new neighboring lands to claim for Islam. They will never stop, because as a good Muslim, they must steal, kill and destroy for allah (or rather, for Muhammad’s demon manipulated and sick mind).

To make things worse, most of the land owned by Moros are in remote and infertile mountain areas.

    LOCAL MEDIA IS CLEANING THE MESS OF SOME MANILA BASED MEDIA

    Yesterday I visited Puerto Princesa Drive in Talon-talon to see the extent of fire.

    Several residents were mad at local journalists. They blame everything to journalists.

    “Kayo ang may kasalanan dito, yang drama ninyo, kami ang napagbalingan,” says one of the mothers named Marlyn S.

    I explained to them that we were just covering the incident from Puerto Princesa since the place is fronting Sumatra Island.

    “Yan na nga ang layo ng Sumatra sa amin pero ano ginawa ng tv, pinalabas nandito lang ang gera, ngayon mababayaran ba nila ang sunog?” another mother said, her name is Joy L.

    Now Muds I stood up.

    He said few days ago he was laughing and pitied some television reporters in covering war in their place which he said very far from Sumatra about 2 to 3 kilometers.

    “May padapa-dapa pa dyan o (pointing to some covered shores with corals and trees), pagamit gamit pa ng helmet at bullet proof vest. Palabasin na malapit lang yung putukan samantalang napakalayo. Sabi ko pa kawawa naman itong mga television reporter ng Kapuso, ginawang drama kahit hindi totoo. Naawa ako at natatawa,” Muds I said.

    But his smiles and pity transformed into rage.

    “Yung pa drama drama ng mga reporter ng Kapuso hayan ang epekto, sinunog ng kung sino ang aming lugar na malayo naman sa gyera. Kung gumawa kayo dapat ng kwento yung makatotohanan lang, hindi na ninyo maibabalik ang mga nasunog naming ari-arian,” Muds said wanting to cry.

    The most that I can do is bring the issue among our colleagues.

    According to Atty. Laisa Masuhud Alamia, about a hundred houses are burned. Who put it on fire, residents are gathering more evidences but for now, I agree with Joy, Marlyn and Muds, media is also behind this devastation and you know who you are and I hope the network will take appropriate actions on this.

But when the TV constructed lies and propaganda, you’d immediately take it as the plain truth. If truly you are sane, why should you burn your own foxhole?     And then again, look at this. I am not taking sides, but did you see how the AFP fired their mortars? Did you see how they dropped bombs? Didn’t you see that they all closed their eyes when they fired at unclear targets? If indeed they were sane, they should have negotiated first for the release of the hostages. But they did not do that. Instead, they bombarded the MNLF position day and night. And you will wonder why many civilians had suffered, their houses razed down.

    You asked why I praised HABER MALIK, is he my relative? I do not know him! But I extolled him because he had lasted the war
    without food support, without bullet support, and without any MILITARY ACADEMY training support. All he had was the People’s trust and confidence and his knowledge of Islam.

    Now, read this: Why was he able to fight effectively against more than ten thousand soldiers? The tanks, the bombs? AFP in great numbers? Snipers in great number? And yet, all of his enemies spent years in MILITARY academy. Take note: this person had defended well for eighteen days against the Best of GENERALS and ELITE Forces of the PHILIPPINE MILITARY. Now tell me, why should not I be humbled?

    AS WE KNOW IN PHILIPPINE MEDIA …. WE KNOW THAT THE CIRCULATING NEWS THAT THEY ARE SAYING THAT OUR MUJAHIDEEN USE THEIR HOSTAGES AS HUMAN SHIELD… ASTAGFIRULLAH!! THE NEWS MEDIA IN PHILIPPINES ARE LYING ABOUT THIS.. NEVER LISTEN TO THEIR NEWS ABOUT THAT SLANDER..

      Let me just recap a little history for you, if don’t mind. Every time that Islam has attacked little, tiny, Israel, the children of Allah have had it handed to them. Every time you have lost, even though you outnumbered Israel, often ten to one.
      Where was Allah? Is he so weak that he can’t gain a victory against the GOD of Israel? The obvious answer is a resounding; YES! Every time, big bad Allah had to slither away defeated, just like he will be defeated, and sent to his place in the lake of fire at the appointed time. If I were a Muslim, I’d be embarrassed!

    “There is discrimination in the Philippines and slaughter and starvation against the Muslim people, the Government and its Military repress the Muslims, hundreds of thousands of Muslims are trapped in poverty while The Goverment grows rich and wealth is lavished on armaments everywhere.

    These are differing evils, but they are the common works of the Philippines.

    They reflect the imperfection of human justice, the inadequacy of human compassion, and Philippines Goverment lack of sensibility towards the suffering of the Flipiino Muslims.

    But we can perhaps remember — even if only for a time — that those Muslims who live in the Philippines are human beings that they share with the Flipino Christians the same short moment of life; that they seek — as They all do — nothing but the chance to live out their lives in purpose and happiness, winning what satisfaction and fulfillment they can.

    Surely, this bond of common faith this bond of common goal, can begin to teach the Filipino Christians something.

    Surely, Christians can learn, at least, to look at those around them as their brothers and sisters. And surely the Christians and Muslims can begin to work a little harder to bind up the wounds among them and to become in their own hearts and be again as fellow countrymen and to recognize each others right to exist and to live in Peace and Freedom as free Filipino People.

    The answer is to rely on Christians and Muslim youths — not a time of life but a state of mind, a temper of the will, a quality of imagination, a predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease.

    The cruelties and obstacles of this swiftly changing religious in difference in the Philippines will not yield to the obsolete dogmas and outworn slogans.

    They cannot be moved by those who cling to a present that is already dying, who prefer the illusion of security to the excitement and danger that come with even the most peaceful progress.

    It is a revolutionary land they live in, and this generation in the Philippines and around the world has had thrust upon it a greater burden of responsibility than any generation that has ever lived.

    Some believe there is nothing one man or one woman can do against the enormous array of ills in the Philippines. . Yet many of the world’s great movements, of thought and action, have flowed from the work of a single person. A young monk began the Protestant reformation; a young general extended an empire from Macedonia to the borders of the earth; a young woman reclaimed the territory of France; and it was a young Italian explorer who discovered the New World, and the 32 year-old Thomas Jefferson who proclaimed that “all men are created equal.”

    These People moved the world, and so can the Christians and the Muslims.

    Few Christians and Muslims have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of them can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of their generation. it is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that their history is and will be shaped.

    Each time a Christian or Muslim stands up for peace or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, they send forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

    Few Christians and Muslims are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their societies.

    Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in religious conflict or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those Christians and Muslims who seek to change the Philippines that yields most painfully for change.

    And I believe that in this generation those Christians and Muslims with the courage to enter the moral and religious conflict will find themselves with companions in every corner of the globe.

    For the fortunate among the Christians and Muslims there is the temptation to follow the easy and familiar paths of personal ambition and financial success so grandly spread among them who enjoy the privilege of education.

    But that is not the road history has marked out for them. Like it or not, the Christians and Muslims live in times of danger and uncertainty in the Philippines.

    But the Christans and Muslims are also more open to the creative energy of their moral and legal right to exist and live in peace than any other time in history.

    All of us will ultimately be judged, and as the years pass we will surely judge ourselves on the effort we have contributed to building a new Christian and Muslim Nation and the extent to which their ideals and goals have shaped the Philippines.

    *The future does not belong to those Christians and Muslims who are content with today, apathetic toward common problems and their fellow country men alike, timid and fearful in the face of new ideas and bold projects. Rather it will belong to those Christians and Muslims who can blend vision, reason and courage in a personal commitment to the ideals and great enterprises of Their Societies.* Their future may lie beyond their vision, but it is not completely beyond their control.

    It is the shaping impulse of the Christans and Muslims that neither fate nor nature nor the irresistible tides of history, but the work of their own hands, matched to reason and principle, that will determine their destiny.

    There is pride in that, even arrogance, but there is also experience and truth. In any event, it is the only way they can live.”

          I agree that children should be made aware of the location of Allah’s abode, they should know that his home is in the abyss, and that eventually, Allah, and all who serve him, will join him when he is thrown alive into the lake of fire. It is impossible to effectively engage in warfare without knowing the enemy.

          They should also know that they can avoid sharing Allah’s fate by serving the GOD of Jacob. They should know that spending eternity with the most high GOD, is only possible because of the blood sacrifice of Jesus, that was made on their behalf, as a free will offering for the forgiveness of their sins. This is the message of salvation, and every person needs to know it.

      Muslims, and Christians, are diametrically opposed to each other. Most Muslims’ have a lineage that is derived from the children of Ishmael, Esau, and the sons of Lot. They have chosen to hate the children of their brother Jacob, even to this very hour.

      Christians are grafted into Israel, and have become the children of Abraham, through faith. This is why the Muslims are engaging in a holocaust against them. The scriptures say that it is “because of your everlasting hatred for your brother Jacob,” that He, Yeshua, will enter into judgement with you in the last days.

      No one wants to see any people oppressed, but where ever the Muslims live, they integrate, gain power, and engage in jihad against the indigenous people. This is what their god demands and this is what they do. Therefore, it is in every non Muslims self interest to never allow a Muslim into their country in the first place. Which by the way, is exactly what the Muslims do to Jews, many of the Muslim lands are Jew free, and now they are wagging war against GOD’s adopted children, Christians. Muslims are bringing judgement upon their own heads.
      I pray that they will all turn away from their demon god, Allah, and rejoin their original family, and reap the blessings from the GOD of Jacob. Like the prodigal son, you would be welcomed back into the fold with praises to GOD, and with great joy and celebration.

You know, if muslims weren’t so all-fired intent on “killing the infidels”, I believe they’d actually sway a lot more gullible people into worshipping their evil ideology.           It is tragic! I had a neighbor who was a Muslim, she had three young children, one of whom was old enough to attend school, and she would walk him there every day. A couple of summers ago the landlord put on a new roof. The men who put on the roof of course didn’t work on rainy days, but the workers were there every good day for about 3 weeks.
          This poor Muslim woman stayed out on the side walk, in the heat, with her children, in full view of the neighbors the entire time.

          She often walked the 2 miles to the store, she never drove, and would never accept a ride. I felt so sorry for her. She would never engage in a conversation with anyone. She always looked so sad. What a way to live!

          And yes, you are right, I am a believer, I came to faith through Jews for Jesus, and National Geographic, and I have never been the same, THANK GOD!

            And clearly, she thought that allah must have been pleased with her “self-sacrifice”. I cannot imagine the overwhelming sense of love and freedom that must rush in upon muslims when they open their eyes to the real truth of the Gospel–especially the enslaved women and children!!!

          It is the GOD of Israel who has put eternity in our hearts, He has given each one of us a measure of faith. However, what you choose to do with that gift is entirely up to you. Your choice has eternal consequences, so choose wisely!

          I have to sign off now, I have to do the laundry and run some errands. I think I’ll drive, we Christian women are allowed to do that. What a blessing it is to be free, and to know with certainty that my GOD lives, and that it is He, who rules in the kingdom of men! Pray for wisdom, while there is yet time.

    It is a common (and fallacious) tactic for a Muslim or Muslim sympathizer to overwhelm one’s perceived opponents with so many baseless assertions that it is unreasonable to expect every claim to be debunked. And so I will only respond to a few of what she posted. Karen, you say here…

    Regardless of the ancestral claim (which is motivated by Islamic expansion more than a desire for ancestral domain acquisition for its own sake), the fact is, Muslims invaded Zamboanga, took innocent people hostage, displaced over 60,000 innocent people who were already in poverty, killed over 10 innocent civilians in their attempt to take over city hall. No Christians were involved in this lawlessness.

    If you feel you have a legitimate ancestral claim, then it must be pursued according to the rule of law, not in spite of the rule of law. President Aquino’s administration has recently hammered out the Bangsamorro agreement. Muslims should be happy. They got more territory for limited autonomous rule, can operate under sharia law (for Muslims) and didn’t have to hand in their illegal weapons. The violence and destruction at Zamboanga is purely the result of Muslim aggression, not because they are not getting a good deal, but because vioence and oppressive expansion, including killing Christians and Jews wherever they can be found is what Muslims do. When they aren’t killing Christians and seeking to implement Islam in non-Islamic nations, then they are killing each other in sectarian violence. The Bible describes Islamic behavior from Genesis 16:12 to

    (Pro 8:36) “But he who sins against me injures himself; All those who hate me love death.”

    Every Muslim hates the one, true God of the Bible and instead worships the false god “allah”. And if Muhammad was so interested in monotheism, instead of seeking a false, pre-Islamic pagan idol (allah), he should have just became a Jew or a Christian. It would have saved around 270 million untimely and cruel deaths in the last 1400 years.

For example, we find in the ahadeeth gems of knowledge pertaining to Muhammad having a liking for wearing women’s clothing, for having an interest in young boys, for people running naked around the kaaba (which Muhammad’s family circumambulated long before Muhammadan Islam was in existence), for Muhammad’s deception and murders…In fact, Muhammad or aspects of Islam have violated the entire (all) 10 Commandments and Muslims sadly believe that Muhammad is the “perfect examplar” to follow?

    Muhammad permit lying and dishonesty (Sahih Muslim 6303, Bukhari 49:857), encouraged his men to rape enslaved women (Abu Dawood 2150), permited stealing from unbelievers (Bukhari 44:668, Ibn Ishaq 764), married 13 wives (including a 9 year old girl, which would be pedophilia, a sexual abomination) but declared other men could only have four wives and Muhammad kept sex slaves (Bukhari 5:268, Qur’an 33:50).

    The ahadeeth also describes how Muhammad murdered or directed the murder of many people (Ibn Hisham & Ibn Ishaq, Sirat Rasul Allah, Ibn Hisham & Ibn Ishaq, Sirat Rasul Allah,Qur’an 5:33-39, Sahih Bukhari 1:4:234, Sahih Bukhari 5:59:505, Sahih Bukhari 7:71:623, among others.). Indeed, you need to read the ahadeeth and get to know the character of the one you call “prophet”.

Only Islamic countries constitute the aggressor nations that go to war against Israel, Christians and Jesus in the end times per Psalm 83, Ezekiel 38-39 and the ten nation coalition described in Revelation 17:12

    Karen Aisha, you’re on the wrong side. You need a Savior and Muhammad’s “allah” doesn’t love you enough to provide you with one, even if allah did exist. Rather, the God that Muhammad rejected is the one, true God of the Jews and Christians and of the Bible. You know in your heart that Muhammad is a false prophet. You know in your heart that that the evil of Islam is being exposed for the world to see…and dying in shame. There is no honor in remaining a Muslim. Only death.

    Choose life while you still can. Choose to repent from sin, including the sin of Islam…and put a trusting faith on the Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ of the Bible. If you are desperately sincere, He will not turn you away.

      To ‘Mike’, my friend – Always remember one thing when dealing with muslims–well, maybe several things. Muslims do not respond to reasoning and logic because, of course, they think they already know it all! I’m rather sure that Ms. Karen “Aisha” has heard it all before. Of course, she clearly has a distorted viewpoint of Christians and Christianity but she’s swallowed the hook, line and sinker on what her imam has taught her. Don’t forget their imams are schooled extensively in confronting Christians and Jews. They have very skillfully instructed their “students” in the art of deception and lies. I know your heart is in the right place, my friend, but there’s a wise saying that applies to muslims who think they know it all, “A fool convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.”

      My personal strategy, for better or for worse, is to lambast them with a reflection of themselves and their wickedness. They have no defense when confronted with their own wicked deeds so they inevitably resort to false accusations against me and my faith in Christ. That doesn’t bother me though, because Christ also endured the same persecutions by the wicked religious leaders of his day.

    The reason why you Muslims so love your religion, is because you love death, Islam is a cult of death. The body count is all that is necessary to prove that assertion.

    No religious leaders belong weapons or preach to kill people except islam like muslim does. Muslims burnt their houses to burn all Buddhist houses. Muslims were well prepared by packing their belonging butwhen Buddhist flee from fire, they were empty hands while muslims flee with every little things. Very few people knew about it. Do any one know that conflited region in Burma is dwelling over 70% is muslims. So who is bulling whom?
