Canada: Near Death, Muslim Sees Jesus in Toronto Hospital

Psalm 70:4, “Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; And let those who love Your salvation say continually, ‘Let God be magnified!’”

“… In life, I’d been bold, self confident, a risk taker. But facing death, I was terrified. I had no idea what might await me on the other side. I’d been raised as a Moslem in London , England , and I understood Allah was not a god who heals.

My only hope was in medicine.

I eventually slipped so close to death that the doctors didn’t know I could hear them when they examined me. ‘His immune system has simply shut down,’ one of them said.

‘He’s dying … In a few hours he’ll be dead,’ they said. ‘If by some miracle he lives, he’ll probably be blind in his right eye, deaf in his right ear, paralyzed on his right side and he may be severely brain damaged from the high fever.’

Then they left.

They left me here to die! I felt like a drowning man going down for the third time. Gathering my strength I whispered a prayer. ‘God, if you’re real, don’t let me die!’

During the darkest hour of the night, I woke and saw a man at the foot of my bed. Rays of light emanated from him, allowing me to see his outline. I couldn’t see his face, it was too bright. No one had to tell me, I knew it was Jesus.

The Koran mentions Jesus; Moslems believe He existed, not as the son of God, but as a good man and a prophet. I knew this wasn’t Mohammed. I knew it wasn’t Allah. Jesus was in my room. There was no fear, only peace.

‘Why would You come to a Moslem when everyone else has left me to die?’ I wondered.

Without words, he spoke to me. ‘I Am the God of the Christians. I Am the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.’

That’s all He said. He didn’t mention my illness. He didn’t mention my impending death. As suddenly as He appeared, He was gone.

The next morning, the same two doctors arrived to examine me.” Read more.

Accounts Multiply Of Muslims Who Have Encountered Jesus Christ In Unsual Dreams – “For at least ten years reports have proliferated of Muslims converted to Christianity through dreams. A California magazine recently published the results of a survey of over 600 ex-Muslims who now follow Jesus. ‘Although dreams appear to play a minor role in the conversions of Westerners, over a quarter of those interviewed [as former Muslims] emphatically confirmed that dreams and visions played a vital role in their conversion, and helped them in difficult times,’ the survey said. Others have found the percentage higher. Karel Sanders, a missionary in South Africa, reported that among African Muslims, ’42 percent of the new believers come to Christ through visions, dreams, angelic appearances and hearing God’s voice.’ According to Dawn’s Friday Fax, a website that focuses on missionary reports, Arabic-speaking moderators explain supernatural experiences such as dreams, visions and healings through prayer to Jesus.” Read more.

      sameer :
whatever you do you can not change the truth, Jesus is a prophet, Mohammed is a prophet and there is only one god he is the creator of everything ,

      Sameer,

Hopefully you will read this, and you will invite other Muslims to this site to get a Christian perspective on Islam. While it is important to be respectful of people and to be polite (in my view, anyway, certainly NOT the view of the Qur’an or Mohammad), it is very important to speak and write truthfully. While the Qur’an allows deception in the cause of Allah (Suras 16:106, 3:28, 9:3, 66:2, 3:54), there is no lying either to or for the God of the Bible.

We do agree that “there is only one God, and He is creator of everything.” That is not up for debate. It is the nature of God that we disagree about.

      sameer :
Jesus is not god nor the son of god, he is a prophet

We agree that Jesus is a prophet. For instance, He correctly prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem (see Luke 21:20-24). He also prophesied the martyrdom of Peter and the fact that John would die a natural death (John 21:18-24). All three of these prophecies came true.

But Jesus is more than a prophet. He is both the Son of God and God in the flesh. Twice in Matthew 26 alone he declared this to be the case. Remember, we are dealing with a 1st Century Jew, not a 21st Century Westerner. The Bible was written in the 1st Century, and we need to understand what is being said in that context.

      1. Jesus was asked by the Jewish High Priest: “Tell us whether You are the Christ, the Son of God”? (v63) His reply: “You have said it” (v64). In other words, “you got it right.”

      2. He confirms the first statement by quoting from Daniel 7:13: “I tell you, hereafter you will see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN.” Daniel 7:14 goes on to say “And to Him was given dominion, glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and men of every language might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion.” This is clearly speaking of God—we are to serve God and give Him glory alone; Jesus is taking this glory, therefore He is claiming to be God. We know the High Priest understood what Jesus was saying because he tore his robe and said ““He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? Behold, you have now heard the blasphemy; what do you think?” They answered, “He deserves death!” (Matt 26:65-66).

Besides these there are dozens of other Biblical references that clearly establish that Jesus is God. A simple Google search will reveal this.

Christians believe that God is as He reveals Himself to be. He has revealed Himself as “Father” in both the Old and New Testaments (OT & NT), as “Savior & Son” in both OT and NT, and as the “Santifier/In-dwelling Spirit” in both OT & NT. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

How small do you think God is? Is He unable to take the form of man? Even the Qur’an recognizes that He appeared as a man (38:75, 5:64, 53:1-18, 81:19-25, in addition to many Hadiths). Why do Muslims limit God, when their own writings show that God can appear in the form of man?

      sameer :
Muslims believe that Jesus will come back to role the world and spread peace over the world. we respect Jesus more than others and his full story is written in the holy Quran read it.

No, Islam believes in a false “Esa”. The word Jesus, “Yeshua” in both Hebrew and “Yasu” in Arabic, does not appear anywhere in the Qur’an. To wit:

“Since Hebrew and Arabic are both Semitic languages, and they are closely related, there are certain well-known rules which sounds/letters in Hebrew correspond to which sounds/letters in Arabic. Specifically, the Hebrew letter Shin regularly turns into the Arabic letter Sin, e.g. the Hebrew word for peace, shalom, corresponds to the Arabic word salam. According to those linguistic rules and relationships between Hebrew and Arabic, Yasu’ is the proper Arabic equivalent for the Hebrew Yeshua’:

      Hebrew: Yeshua ‘ = Yod + Shin + Waw + ‘Ain
      Arabic: Yasu ‘ = Ya + Sin + Waw + ‘Ain”

      Source: http://answering-islam.org/Responses/Abualrub/true-name-isa.htm

Arabs for 6 centuries preceding Mohammad knew the correct name for Yeshua—Yasu. Why didn’t the Qur’an even once use this name?

The Qur’an states that the Bible is God’s revelation to man. Nowhere does it state the Bible was corrupted (See Suras 2:87, 3:3, 4:163 and 5:46). This accusation was begun several centuries later. But the Qur’an contradicts what it states is God’s word, for instance it says “God forbid that He Himself should beget a son!” (Sura 19:35). Which is it? Is the Bible God’s word, or not?

The Bible doesn’t even contain “the full story” of Jesus; how could the Qur’an?

      sameer :
islam is a great religion, number of people convert to islam is huge and much more than who converts to other religions. this is the fact.

I guess it depends on what you mean by “great religion”. You are certainly correct that more people are converting to Islam than Christianity or any other religion, but what does that establish? It’s truth? Seriously? People are AFRAID of Islam and its “god” — its growth is by fear of the sword and demographics. Muslims are having more babies than anyone else.

If you care to carry on a dialogue, please respond. I highly recommend reading the Bible while asking God “please reveal whether this is a truth or lie” with an honest heart.

A lot of muslims convert to Christ because Christ is not a religion…but the Linving God. Obviously a lot of muslims hide it!

You are still in darkeness…Jesus is God and we know from Abraham about the Trinity

        Genesis 18:1-2

1 The LORD appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day. 2 Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.
3 He said, “If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord,[a] do not pass your servant by.

        Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Nobody has ever mentioned Mohammed in the bible and nobody has ever seen him, that’s the difference!

sameer – I challenge you to ask Jesus in prayer like in the verses 13 and 14 below and ask Jesus to open your eyes just like the Muslin above did – thousands of muslin people have come to salvation jsut like this gentleman has – one of my personnel friends a muslim for 65 years found Jesus the God and Savior of all mankind – there is no other way to be saved except through the blood and cross of Christ

Jn 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jn 14:7 If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” Jn 14:8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”

Jn 14:9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Jn 14:10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Jn 14:11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.

Jn 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

Jn 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. Jn 14:14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

DEAR Samir do not be a fool. Whom are u denying? Jesus, That is the only reason a religion named Islam came up.
It has come only to reject Jesus and HIS divinity. But Islam failes to say the name of Jesus Father. if you know please tell me the name of Jesus’ father,, If He was created by God in Mary’s womb, then God is the father. After making a lady pregnant if some one denies that He has not made her pregnant it is a crime, so if God has created Jesus in her womb, God has to be th father,. Then u will ask About Adam. Yes Adam was the son of God created from Mud and through Adam sin came and men fell from heaven but God send His only “”begotten son” that means a son that was born from a women without th touch of a man * by God) to take the fallen man back to God, Yes Jesus sacrificed HIS life to redem u from sin, you dont have to slaughter a lamb and shed blood now, Jesus has already done it at the cross of calvary, All you need to do it, Ask Jesus to come into your heart and belive that He has died to save you from sin and hell, and that He has risen from the death and went to heaven ” you can go to heaven, Jesus is the only way to heaven, God bless you, To know more about Jesus Please contact any church near to you or mail me ,

Hi Sameer, thank you for your comments.

The Islamic version of ‘Jesus’ that is taught by the Qur’an is not the same Jesus that is taught by the Bible. The Jesus of the Bible says in Matthew 5:44-45b, “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven …” Does the Jesus of the Qur’an also teach this? Is this even taught anywhere in the Qur’an or Hadith at all regarding one’s enemies?

As Christians, we are warned in 2 Corinthians 11:4 against accepting the teachings of those who “preach another Jesus” or “another gospel” than that which we have already been given by the Apostles of Biblical Scripture. In fact, “even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!” (Galatians 1:8). There is only one true Jesus, and we believe that it is the One that the ‘People of the Book’ believed in many centuries before Mohammed, and believe in to this very day.

    Why?

There are many reasons, but the Jesus of the Bible warned Christians that “many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many” who would even show “great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect” (see Matthew 24:11,24). Have you ever asked yourself why you believe that the Qur’an is a ‘wondrous miracle‘? Any so-called “gospel” or teaching about Jesus that goes against what we have already been given — which we believe to be the true Word of God whom the Lord has protected from corruption throughout the ages — is to be rejected. Even archaeological evidence time and time again confirms that the Scriptures we have today is the same that existed nearly 2000 years ago. The claims and teachings of Islam are opposed to what the Bible teaches. Islam teaches another “Jesus”. Islam teaches another “gospel”. Islam even teaches that Jews and Christians will one day submit to Islam, or be killed for the glory of Allah if they refuse. And it’s no coincidence therefore that the Bible even warned us that “the time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a holy service for God” (John 16:2b).

Sameer, Mohammed himself didn’t even know for certain what would happen to him in the afterlife, so please think about this one question that I have for you carefully: Why should I — or any other Christian who knows beyond a doubt that they are guaranteed eternal life through faith in the Jesus of the Bible — give up the Christian faith for an Islamic faith which we know will guarantee us nothing?

You, too, can have the same guarantee that we as Christians share. All you have to do is put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. Do you want eternal life?

    awais.mirza@gmail.com :

Did jesus said himself son of god or begotten son of god?

    Yes.

Matthew 26:62-64, “Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, ‘Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?’ But Jesus remained silent. The high priest said to him, ‘I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.’ ‘Yes, it is as you say,’ Jesus replied…”

Having said that, let’s understand what the term “Son of God” means in the Bible. The Qur’an teaches that, according to Christianity, God acquired a son through procreation with Mary. In the eyes of Muslims, the term “Son of God” is believed to be, and is therefore understood, in a literal sense. But this misrepresentation is so far from the basic tenets of Christianity that any serious student of the Qur’an should begin questioning the veracity of some of the teachings of Islam on this error alone. The term “Son of God” in the Bible is an anthropomorphism and is intended to be understood in a figurative sense, not in a wooden literal sense. It is a metaphor to describe a relational identity. In John 3:16, Jesus is called the only “begotten” son of God (the Greek word monogenēs) which means “unique” or “one of a kind” or “one and only”. As Christians, we are all called God’s children (Matthew 5:9; Romans 8:16; Galatians 3:6; Galatians 4:5; Ephesians 1:5, etc.). But this term is an analogy to describe our relationship to our Heavenly Father. We are not literal “sons” and “daughters”. Even the angels are called “sons of God” in the Bible (Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7). But Jesus is called the only “unique” son of God in Scripture for a very good reason. In the Old Testament, before Jesus came as a child into this world, He appeared before His people as the “Angel of the Lord”. He revealed Himself in the burning bush that spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai. He appeared before Joshua as the Commander of the Hosts of Heaven. And in the New Testament He is the eternal “Word of God”, called the “unique son of God”, because He is God in the flesh and there is no one else like Him.

John 1:1,14, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God … And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten [monogenēs] of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Also see Matthew 9:2 — Jesus forgave sins, something that only God can do. John 11:43-44 and Luke 8:54 — Jesus gave life to the dead, something that only God can do. Luke 8:22-25 — Jesus controlled the forces of nature with a single command, something that only God can do. Jesus repeatedly demonstrated His Divinity. Consider the following:

Many verses forbid worshiping men, angels, or any created thing.

    * Acts 10:25,26 – Cornelius fell down to worship Peter. Peter forbade it saying that he himself was just a man. God deserves worship, but men do not. (Cf. Acts 12:20-23; 14:8-18.)
    * Revelation 22:8,9; 19:10 – John sought to worship the angel, but the angel forbade it because he was a “fellow servant.” “Worship God.”
    * Romans 1:25 – People who worship and serve created things, rather than the Creator, have left the truth of God.
    * To worship any created thing – whether man, angel, heavenly body, or some other object in nature (mountain, ocean, etc.) – constitutes idolatry. [In other words, worshiping anything or anyone other than YHWH the God of the Bible is idoloatry].

Only the true God deserves to be worshipped.

    * Matthew 4:9,10 – Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.
    * Revelation 9:20 – Idolatry is forbidden because it constitutes worship of someone other than God (Exodus 20:3-6; Deuteronomy 6:13-15; Revelation 14:9-11). [See also Exodus 34:14]
    * Note: proskunew is forbidden when used for obeisance to men from a spiritual or religious motivation or purpose. The word is sometimes (but rarely) used in the New Testament non-religiously to refer to bowing in obeisance to a king, master, or other person in authority (see Matthew 18:26 – this usage is more common in the Old Testament).
    * When used for religious honor, however, worship is forbidden toward any except God. In this sense, “worship” is like “lord,” “father,” “master,” etc. The words may be acceptably used for earthly, physical relationships (Ephesians 6:1-9; Colossians 3:21,22), but we are forbidden to use such as religious honor to men or created things (Matthew 23:8-12). [On Revelation 3:9, cf. to 1 Corinthians 14:25]
    * The concept of Deity distinguishes the Creator from the creature. Things which are created do not have the unique characteristics of God, do not do the unique works of God, and therefore should not be addressed by the unique names of God nor should they be worshipped.

But Jesus received the unique worship God deserves.

He was often worshipped while He appeared on earth before His resurrection.

    * Matthew 8:2 – A leper came and worshipped Jesus. [9:18; 15:25; Mark 5:6]
    * Matthew 14:33 – After Jesus had calmed the storm, the disciples worshipped Him saying He was the Son of God.
    * John 9:38 – After Jesus had healed the blind man, He revealed Himself to be the Son of God (v35). The man said he believed, and he worshipped Jesus.
    * Note that such religious worship would have been blasphemy and should have been forbidden as it was in the case of Peter, the angel, etc., if Jesus had been just a man on earth.

Created beings also worship Him after His resurrection.

    * Matthew 28:9,17 – After His resurrection, His disciples worshipped Him. [Cf. John 20:28,29]
    * Luke 24:52 – Even after He had ascended back to heaven, they worshipped Him.
    * Hebrews 1:6 – Angels are instructed by God to worship Jesus.
    * Note that men were rebuked for worshipping men, angels, or created beings, but they were never rebuked for worshipping Jesus. Angels are even instructed by the Father to worship Jesus. The context of the above passages cannot fit the idea of obeisance to an earthly king or ruler. They refer to honoring Jesus as a religious authority – the very thing forbidden when offered to Peter, angels, etc.
    * Hence, Jesus accepted worship as an act of religious honor. The Scriptures, including Jesus’ own teachings, would absolutely forbid this unless He possesses true Deity. [1]

Here is sound logic that we can easily deduce from Biblical Scripture. If Biblical Scripture explains that only God can be worshiped, and if Biblical Scripture forbids the worship of any created being or object, and if Biblical Scripture does not forbid or rebuke the worship of Jesus Christ, then Jesus Christ is therefore uncreated and is God in the flesh, according to Biblical Scripture.

So did Jesus say, “I am God”? Not with those exact words. To do so could have gotten Him killed before the appointed time. But when the time was right, He began to affirm His identity and His purpose:

Exodus 3:13-14, “Moses said to God, ‘Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?’ God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.'”

John 8:58, “Jesus said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.‘”

Luke 22:66-71, “As soon as it was day, the elders of the people, both chief priests and scribes, came together and led Him into their council, saying, “If You are the Christ, tell us.” But He said to them, “If I tell you, you will by no means believe. “And if I also ask [you], you will by no means answer Me or let [Me] go. “Hereafter the Son of Man will sit on the right hand of the power of God.” Then they all said, “Are You then the Son of God?” So He said to them, “You [rightly] say that I am.” And they said, “What further testimony do we need? For we have heard it ourselves from His own mouth.”

I have seen God’s glory personally when I was praying for the Holy Spirit. A bro was laying his hand on me while he was praying for me. About a few minutes later, I began to see a bright light like a sun coming from the top down while I was still closing my eyes praying for the Spirit.

The last Sunday, I lost my focus when I asked a bro “what was that?” because my right side of the tongue was fluttering like a flag in high speed wind and I could hear it rattles. So, not this time – I told myself not to lose my focus.

The ‘sun’ became brighter and warmer and I heard a strange sound unlike an unused radio station as it goes deeper from the top (head and shoulders) and all the way into my bowel or ab. My arms and legs were shaking violently. And I was like a boiling kettle with a strange pressure building up in my body and my breathing was heavy (panting). By this time, my tongue was becoming more and more ‘alive’ and it was rattling at high speed beyond any man’s imagination (I could do it again for another few days). Every breath that I exhaled became words. It sounded like some kind of East European or Middle Eastern language. At that time, I knew I have successfully received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongue. A bro told me that I could control my voice because it is a spirit of liberty (not bondage as in a possession) which is subjected to me. But, it was too powerful for me to tame it (like a chariot with runaway horses).

There were 3 guests on that day and they were right in front of me (I was seated at the last row) while pastor and a few brothers or elders were talking to them about our assembly’s Christian belief. They believed what they have just witnessed and they were ALL baptised on that very day. I felt so happy that I fisted the air in victory!! LOL

That was the time that the Lord has shown Himself that He is the Lord, the God of Jesus Christ, and The God of Israel!! Glory to God!!

JESUS CHRIST is GOD in Flesh. He healed my disease when I was a kid. I was coming from a Buddhist family background, and about 95% Buddhists in my native land. I saw Jesus Christ in my dreams. My experiences meeting the Lord and He healed me are only for me. I am not here to convince others or judge others, but I only share a tiny bit. I am one of His sheep. I heard His voice, and I follow Him. He is my Lord, my GOD, and my Savior.
GLORY TO HIS NAME THE HIGHEST. AMEN

Brothers and sisters, open your hearts, minds and soul to accept Jesus’s amazing Love. (John 14: 6) Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
(John 10:30) Jesus said, “I and the Father are one.
(Romans 10:9) – If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
In short, Jesus is king of all kings, and Lord of ALL lords. Allow the Lord Jesus Christ into your life and see what happens next.
