By Jennifer Sullivan, The Seattle Times – “Ali Muhammad Brown, the convicted sex offender charged with killing two men in Seattle’s Leschi neighborhood on June 1, is now suspected of fatally shooting a Skyway man about one month earlier.

Brown, 29, is being investigated in connection with the death of Leroy Henderson in Skyway’s 12200 block of 68th Avenue South shortly after 11:45 p.m. on April 27, according to a King County sheriff’s report. Henderson, 30, was walking home from a nearby store when he was shot several times, the report said.

Detectives linked Brown to Henderson’s slaying through 9-mm bullets and casings found in and around Henderson’s body, according to the report.

Two law-enforcement sources say aggravated-murder charges will be sought against Brown for Henderson’s slaying and could be filed as early as Wednesday.

If that happens, the new murder charge would be the fourth against Brown, who is being held in New Jersey in connection with the June 25 slaying of college student Brendan Tevlin, 19. Brown was arrested last month in West Orange, N.J.

King County prosecutors have already filed two counts of aggravated first-degree murder against Brown in connection with the Leschi slayings of Dwone Anderson-Young, 23, and Ahmed Said, 27.

Police say Brown left with the two victims from RPlace, a gay Capitol Hill nightclub, and drove toward Anderson-Young’s house in Said’s Mitsubishi Galant. As they were outside Anderson-Young’s home, Brown pulled out a gun and killed the men, police said.

Mark Larson, chief of staff for King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg, said they have not decided whether to pursue the death penalty in the deaths of Anderson-Young and Said.

After Brown’s arrest in New Jersey, testing done by the Newark Police Department Crime Lab determined that a 9-mm handgun found on Brown was used to kill all four victims, according to the report.
