Devout Muslim Author Writes A Book Of Lies About ‘Jesus’, Liberal Media Loves It

Lies. Islam couldn’t exist without them. Here we have yet another effort by yet another suit-and-tie Islamist attempting to make alterations in history from one that is based upon truth, to one that is anything but. But such is the modus operandi of Islam …

Update: The writer has been caught misrepresenting his “scholarly credentials” …

Daniel 7:25a, “He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law …”

By John S. Dickerson, Fox News – “Reza Aslan, author of the new book, ‘Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth‘ has been interviewed on a host of media outlets in the last week. Riding a publicity wave, the book has surged to #2 on Amazon’s list.

Media reports have introduced Aslan as a ‘religion scholar’ but have failed to mention that he is a devout Muslim.

His book is not a historian’s report on Jesus. It is an educated Muslim’s opinion about Jesus — yet the book is being peddled as objective history on national TV and radio.

Aslan is not a trained historian. Like tens of thousands of us he has been formally educated in theology and New Testament Greek.

He is a bright man with every right to hold his own opinion about Jesus—and to proselytize his opinion.

As a sincere man, Aslan’s Muslim beliefs affect his entire life, including his conclusions about Jesus. But this is not being disclosed. ‘Zealot’ is being presented as objective and scholarly history, not as it actually is—an educated Muslim’s opinions about Jesus and the ancient Near East.

‘Zealot’ is a fast-paced demolition of the core beliefs that Christianity has taught about Jesus for 2,000 years. Its conclusions are long-held Islamic claims—namely, that Jesus was a zealous prophet type who didn’t claim to be God, that Christians have misunderstood him, and that the Christian Gospels are not the actual words or life of Jesus but ‘myth.’

These claims are not new or unique. They are hundreds of years old among Muslims. Sadly, readers who have listened to interviews on NPR, ‘The Daily Show,’ Huffington Post or MSNBC may pick up the book expecting an unbiased and historic report on Jesus and first century Jewish culture. (I will let my Jewish friends address Aslan’s statement on MSNBC that, ‘there were certainly a lot of Jewish terrorists in first century Palestine.’) …

‘Zealot’ is written with the self-assumed authority of groundbreaking revelation from a historian. In reality, it is a religious person’s opinion about Jesus—from an adherent to the religion that has been in violent opposition to Christ for 1,400 years.” Read more.

Exactly “HOW”…can I write a completely fictitious book and make #2 on Amazon? This man’s book is a complete “joke!” AND yet, he’s making a “FORTUNE” on it!!!

    What a “SHAM!!!”

Aslan has made his points authoritatively and academically sound. Whosoever not satisfied with his views should challenge him scholarly. Clergymen may invite him for a debate so as to know the truth of matter.

Hi Musa Yahaya, thank you for your comment. One of the many problems with Aslan Reza is that he misrepresents who he is, which should in and of itself certainly cause one to question whether or not he can even genuinely present an accurate portrayal of someone else, particularly a figure such as Jesus (which the Qur’an itself doesn’t even accurately characterize, presenting instead an imposter of Jesus that Aslan Reza himself duplicates in his book). He also refuses to even engage in a debate with someone who can challenge him point by point:

Robert Spencer Confronts Reza Aslan On Reddit, Aslan Runs – “Reza Aslan was dropping in at Reddit today, and Jihad Watch reader Russ alerted me to that fact, as well as to this fact that someone at Reddit had asked Aslan about my post today here.

Aslan replied with one of his signature adolescent insults, and ran.

That anyone takes this dull-witted Islamic supremacist clown seriously is just a sign of how debased and ideologically one-sided our public discourse has become.

    Join the fun here.” Source.

Also feel free to read through this very revealing article on just how dishonest Reza is. To believe that Aslan Reza is “authoritatively and academically sound” is like believing the Easter Bunny lays delicious chocolate eggs. It’s a fairytale, and demonstrably so.

“WHAT??? There’s NO Easter Bunny…Oh No!!!” Well, “Thanks!”…for the Revelation (I guess)! lol

“On the other hand…” Thank you for explaining a lot of Biblical Scripture in ways that no one else has put forward (that I know of). Specifically, the recent post you made regarding the “End Times” and “Tribulation.” I like the fact of how you explained that we “have been” in this Tribulation ever since Jesus spoke of it!

The post you made was lengthy and I didn’t have time to finish reading it completely. Although I “saved” it, I have no idea where I saved it…too! (Oh well, that’s old age for ‘ya!) The portion I am interested in is what Jesus said about the End Times and His “return.” IF, I recall correctly, you had a different “take” on what He said. I had believed that it (the End Times) were as the, Rev. Robert Schuller, had presented years ago which goes something like this:

“…Imagine! Some of us will NOT die! Some of us will be here to Witness the return of Jesus!…” AND, in so many words, “…be raised to Heaven and live forever!…”

YOUR, explanation, is “different!” Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to completely read the full post. From what I had read, you make “perfect sense!” (I know, “…duh!”) I say that as I have read, so many, arguments as to “when” this period of Tribulation, starts, stops, whatever, it becomes ridiculous! AND THEN, I read your explanation and it’s so simple and straight-forward, it makes me wonder “Why?”, ALL these so-called, “Theological Scholars,” don’t “get it!” (hmmm…???)

btw…EVERYONE knows that the Easter Bunny doesn’t “lay” eggs! It’s his sidekick the “Easter Chicken” that lays the Chocolate Eggs…duh!!! :)
