Robert Spencer: Muslims Wouldn’t Bomb Muhammad’s City, Would They? Sure They Would.
The “Religion of Peace.” It substitutes the Bible with the Qur’an — the word of God with the corruption of men. It substitutes Isaac with Ishmael — the son of Promise with the son of misery. It substitutes the Messiah with Mohammed — the Prince of Life with the prophet of death. It substitutes the Church with the Ummah — the Bride of Christ with the Whore of Babylon. It substitutes Almighty Yahweh with “Allah is greater” — the Creator of man with the Destroyer of souls. What is holy has become profane and what is profane has become holy. Is it any wonder, then, to see the Islamic world in shambles and filled with so much sorrow and strife?
The article below by Robert Spencer ties in nicely with yesterday’s post that briefly touches upon why we’re seeing Muslims themselves becoming increasingly bigoted and violent against other fellow Muslims …
Isaiah 5:20, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
Genesis 6:11b-12, “‘You shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard of your misery. He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.’”

Sunni vs Shia, Radical vs Not-Radical-Enough
By Robert Spencer, Jihad Watch – “The Islamic State (ISIS) attack in Medina shows once and for all that ISIS is not Islamic, right? After all, how could a Muslim group, much less a self-styled ‘caliphate,’ set off a bomb in the city of Muhammad himself? That proves that ISIS has nothing to do with Islam, no? That’s what many Muslims would have us believe. Unfortunately, this is just more deception from practiced masters of deceit – and it’s deception that is increasingly dangerous and offensive as the jihad death count climbs ever higher.
Maher Zain, a Multi Platinum-winning singer and songwriter who is Muslim, wrote on Twitter to his 1.47 million followers: ‘Still need proof that ISIS is the foremost enemy of Islam? They attack the Prophet’s City. Terror knows no religion!’ Boxer Amir Khantweeted to his 1.75 million followers: ‘The attack in our beloved Prophet Muhammad’s city Madinah proves that Isis has no religion!’ The UK Muslim broadcaster Mohammed Shafiq wrote: ‘The attack on #Madinah was an attack against all Muslims. We need unity against this evil.’
Neither Zain nor Khan nor Shafiq nor anyone else, however, explained why this it would be out of the question for jihadis to strike in Medina. Did Muhammad command jihad warfare against unbelievers? Yes: a hadith depicts Muhammad saying: ‘Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war…When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them…. If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah’s help and fight them. (Sahih Muslim 4294)
In commanding this, did Muhammad forbid jihad against unbelievers in his city? He did not. But of course, in Medina there are only Muslims, no? And the Qur’an forbids Muslims to kill other Muslims (4:92). But Islam also mandates death for those who are considered heretics and apostates – and the Islamic State, in claiming to be the caliphate, the one true government to which all Muslims owe allegiance, and in demanding the obedience of all Muslims worldwide, has placed itself in the position of considering any Muslims who reject its authority to be heretical by virtue of that very rejection, and therefore worthy of death.
That is all the more true regarding governments of Muslim states that do not accept the caliphate. The Islamic State regards the House of Saud as illegitimate, and therefore to undermine it is a holy act.” Read more.
Flashback: Hurriyet Daily News: With 10 Million Muslims Killed Since 1948 at the Hands of Fellow Muslims, Golda Meir Was Right – “Let’s speak of facts. Sudan is not in the conventional Middle East, so let’s ignore the genocide there. Let’s ignore, also, the West Pakistani massacres in East Pakistan (Bangladesh) totaling 1.25 million in 1971. Or 200,000 deaths in Algeria in war between Islamists and the government in 1991-2006. But a simple, strictly Middle East research will give you one million deaths in the all-Muslim Iran-Iraq war; 300,000 Muslim minorities killed by Saddam Hussein; 80,000 Iranians killed during the Islamic revolution; 25,000 deaths in 1970-71, the days of Black September, by the Jordanian government in its fight against the Palestinians; and 20,000 Islamists killed in 1982 by the elder al-Assad in Hama. The World Health Organization’s estimate of Osama bin Laden’s carnage in Iraq was already 150,000 a few years earlier. In a 2007 research, Gunnar Heinsohn from the University of Bremen and Daniel Pipes, director of the Middle East Forum, found out that some 11 million Muslims have been violently killed since 1948, of which 35,000, (0.3 percent) died during the six years of Arab war against Israel, or one out of every 315 fatalities. In contrast, over 90 percent who perished were killed by fellow Muslims.” Read more.
Idaho: Syrian “Refugees” Reportedly Rape Little Girl At Knifepoint
“Rape Jihad” already perpetrated by young Muslim “refugees.” Even at such as a young age, Muslim children are evidently being taught that upon migrating invading the land of the infidel they can do as they please with the spoils of war. The father of one is even said to have “congratulated” his son for raping the little girl. In other words, he congratulated his son for obeying the teachings of Islam. Here is poof positive, yet again, that when Muslims immigrate to the West, their hateful books, beliefs and behaviors often immigrate with them. How does this bode for the future of America? …
Update: They were not Syrian but were Sudanese and Iraqi …
Qur’an Sura 33:50a, “O Prophet! Lo! We have made lawful unto thee … those whom thy right hand possesseth of those whom Allah hath given thee as spoils of war …”
“In the moments before he raped the 12-year-old girl, the Islamic State fighter took the time to explain that what he was about to do was not a sin. Because the preteen girl practiced a religion other than Islam, the Quran not only gave him the right to rape her — it condoned and encouraged it, he insisted… ‘He told me that according to Islam he is allowed to rape an unbeliever. He said that by raping me, he is drawing closer to God … He kept telling me this is ibadah,’ she said, using a term from Islamic scripture meaning worship.” – “ISIS Enshrines a Theology of Rape” by The New York Times

By Paul Joseph Watson, InfoWars – “Three Syrian refugees reportedly raped a little girl at knifepoint in Idaho before urinating on her body, an incident that prompted furious residents to accuse Twin Falls city council members of covering up the assault.
The sexual assault allegedly took place on June 2, but has received virtually no media attention aside from one vague KMVT report.
However, residents have been circulating what really happened on social media, with the Creeping Sharia blog reporting that the victim was a young girl who was born premature and is ‘less developed for her age’.
The perpetrators were three Syrian youths aged 8, 10 and 13, with the oldest boy directing the assault.
The little girl was playing outside Fawnbrook apartment buildings when the boys put a knife to her throat and forced her inside a laundry unit. She was then stripped naked, raped and urinated on. The 13-year-old reportedly told the younger boys to urinate on her because they were incapable of ejaculating.
The victim’s grandmother found the victim and then called the girl’s mother, who called the police. The police took 2 and a half hours to arrive but were unable to take any action due to the ‘language barrier’.
When she arrived, the mother of the alleged rapists was only able to say ‘no police,’ while the father reportedly congratulated his 13-year-old son. Video of the entire assault was captured on the boy’s cellphone.
A follow-up KMTV report revealed that, ‘the case has officially been sealed by a judge with no chance of it ever being unsealed since all parties involved are minors.’
A video of a Twin Falls council meeting shows irate residents demanding to know why council members have done nothing to address the alleged rape, as well as numerous other issues involving Syrian refugees being housed in the area, including hit and run incidents and Muslims spitting on non-Muslims.” Read more.
The Qur’anic Con: How Revelation’s Predictive Biblical Prophecy Foresaw Islamic Teachings – “Although not all Muslims are sexual deviants, sexual deviancy is explicitly permitted, even encouraged, in Islam… This behavior isn’t confined to Saudi Arabia, the Middle East or even to Islamic countries, however. In a non-Muslim land such as the UK, for instance, the Muslim population accounts for just 4% of the British population yet has 200 times the number of sexual perpetrators than any other group. Muslim taxi drivers are reportedly assaulting and raping hundreds, perhaps thousands, of British girls every year. Muslim sex gangs are waging ‘rape Jihad’ against British children. An alarming number of Muslim clerics across the UK are condoning child marriage. From Sweden to Norway, from France to Germany, Denmark, Spain and elsewhere, sexual immorality within the Muslim community is running rampant all across Europe and far beyond. As a Muslim prayer leader from Egypt who was caught sexually assaulting girls during a trip to Australia explained, such behavior is simply part of his Islamic culture.” Read more.
Ebola Spreads To Mali, Becomes Sixth West African Nation To Face Disease
Ebola. It seems to be spreading from here to Timbuktu. Literally …
Luke 21:10-11, “Then He said to them, ‘Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven…’”
By Adama Diarra and Tiemoko Diallo, Reuters – “Mali confirmed its first case of Ebola on Thursday, becoming the sixth West African country to be touched by the worst outbreak on record of the hemorrhagic fever, which has killed nearly 4,900 people.
Mali’s Health Minister Ousmane Kone told state television that the patient in the western town of Kayes was a two-year-old girl who had recently arrived from neighboring Guinea, where the outbreak began.
‘The condition of the girl, according to our services, is improving thanks to her rapid treatment,’ the minister told state television.
A health ministry official, who asked not to be identified, said the girl’s mother died in Guinea a few weeks ago and the baby was brought by relatives to the Malian capital Bamako, where she stayed for 10 days in the Bagadadji neighborhood before heading to Kayes.
A ministry statement said the girl, who came from the Guinean town of Kissidougou, was admitted at the Fousseyni Daou hospital in Kayes on Wednesday night, where she was promptly tested for Ebola.
People who came into contact with the patient in Kayes have been identified and placed under watch, the minister said, but he appealed to any person who believed they may have had contact with the girl to step forward.” Read more.
How Many Ebola Cases Are There Really? – “Every couple of days, the World Health Organization (WHO) issues a ‘situation update’ on the Ebola epidemic, with new numbers of cases and deaths for each of the affected countries. These numbers ― 9216 and 4555 respectively, according to Friday’s update ― are instantly reported and tweeted around the world. They’re also quickly translated into ever-more frightening graphics by people who follow the epidemic closely, such as virologist Ian Mackay of the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, and Maia Majumder, a Ph.D. student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge who visualizes the data on her website and publishes projections on HealthMap, an online information system for outbreaks. But it’s widely known that the real situation is much worse than the numbers show because many cases don’t make it into the official statistics.” Read more.
New York: Doctor Treating Ebola Patients Rushed To NYC Hospital With Ebola Like Symptoms
Let’s hope it turns out to be nothing …
Update: Ebola confirmed. “Even as the authorities worked to confirm that Mr. Spencer was infected with Ebola, it emerged that he traveled from Manhattan to Brooklyn on the subway on Wednesday night, when he went to a bowling alley, and then took a taxi home. The next morning, he reported having a temperature of 103 degrees, raising questions about his health while he was out in public.” Read more.
CBS New York – “Officials are looking into a possible Ebola case in New York City.
Sources tell CBS 2 EMS crews picked up Dr. Craig Spencer just after noon today.
Sources told 1010 WINS he was rushed from a building on West 147th Street.
‘Today, EMS HAZ TAC Units transferred to Bellevue Hospital who presented a fever and gastrointestinal symptoms,’ New York City officials said in a statement. ‘The patient is a health care worker who returned to the U.S. within the past 21 days from one of the three countries currently facing the outbreak of this virus.’
Spencer, who is a physician in his 30s and works with Doctors Without Borders, came back a week ago from Guinea, where he is believed to have been treating Ebola patients.
The EMS crews responded to Spencer’s home wore ‘F Suits,’ which are Level D Hazmat gear that covers the entire body, CBS 2 reported.
‘After consulting with the hospital and the CDC, DOHMH has decided to conduct a test for the Ebola virus because of this patient’s recent travel history, pattern of symptoms and past work. DOHMH and HHC are also evaluating the patient for other causes of illness, as these symptoms can also be consistent with salmonella, malaria, or the stomach flu.’
Spencer is now at Bellevue Hospital, one of eight hospitals in New York state with specialized Ebola units.
Ebola test results are expected within 12 hours, officials said.
‘As a further precaution, beginning today, the Health Department’s team of disease detectives immediately began to actively trace all of the patient’s contacts to identify anyone who may be at potential risk,’ officials said. ‘The Health Department staff has established protocols to identify, notify, and, if necessary, quarantine any contacts of Ebola cases.'” Read more.
Ebola In America: Six Reasons To Panic
Caution: The article below tells it like it is and offers not a single encouraging word of comfort to the reader. “If you think about Ebola and mutation and aerosolization and R0 for too long, you start to get visions of Mad Max cruising the postapocalyptic landscape with Katniss Everdeen at his side.” But do not fear, for we serve a sovereign God who knows the end from the beginning and remains in control even when everything else seems to spin out of it …
Jeremiah 32:17, “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.”
By Jonathan V. Last, The Weekly Standard – “As a rule, one should not panic at whatever crisis has momentarily fixed the attention of cable news producers. But the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, which has migrated to both Europe and America, may be the exception that proves the rule. There are at least six reasons that a controlled, informed panic might be in order.
(1) Start with what we know, and don’t know, about the virus. Officials from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other government agencies claim that contracting Ebola is relatively difficult because the virus is only transmittable by direct contact with bodily fluids from an infected person who has become symptomatic. Which means that, in theory, you can’t get Ebola by riding in the elevator with someone who is carrying the virus, because Ebola is not airborne.
This sounds reassuring. Except that it might not be true. There are four strains of the Ebola virus that have caused outbreaks in human populations. According to the New England Journal of Medicine, the current outbreak (known as Guinean EBOV, because it originated in Meliandou, Guinea, in late November 2013) is a separate clade ‘in a sister relationship with other known EBOV strains.’ Meaning that this Ebola is related to, but genetically distinct from, previous known strains, and thus may have distinct mechanisms of transmission.
Not everyone is convinced that this Ebola isn’t airborne. Last month, the University of Minnesota’s Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy published an article arguing that the current Ebola has ‘unclear modes of transmission’ and that ‘there is scientific and epidemiologic evidence that Ebola virus has the potential to be transmitted via infectious aerosol particles both near and at a distance from infected patients, which means that healthcare workers should be wearing respirators, not facemasks.’
And even if this Ebola isn’t airborne right now, it might become so in the future. Viruses mutate and evolve in the wild, and the population of infected Ebola carriers is now bigger than it has been at any point in history — meaning that the pool for potential mutations is larger than it has ever been. As Dr. Philip K. Russell, a virologist who oversaw Ebola research while heading the U.S. Army’s Medical Research and Development Command, explained to the Los Angeles Times last week,
I see the reasons to dampen down public fears. But scientifically, we’re in the middle of the first experiment of multiple, serial passages of Ebola virus in man. . . . God knows what this virus is going to look like. I don’t.
In August, Science magazine published a survey conducted by 58 medical professionals working in African epidemiology. They traced the origin and spread of the virus with remarkable precision — for instance, they discovered that it crossed the border from Guinea into Sierra Leone at the funeral of a ‘traditional healer’ who had treated Ebola victims. In just the first six months of tracking the virus, the team identified more than 100 mutated forms of it.
Yet what’s really scary is how robust the already-established transmission mechanisms are. Have you ever wondered why Ebola protocols call for washing down infected surfaces with chlorine? Because the virus can survive for up to three weeks on a dry surface.
How robust is transmission? Look at the health care workers who have contracted it. When Nina Pham, the Dallas nurse who was part of the team caring for Liberian national Thomas Duncan, contracted Ebola, the CDC quickly blamed her for ‘breaching protocol.’ But to the extent that we have effective protocols for shielding people from Ebola, they’re so complex that even trained professionals, who are keenly aware that their lives are on the line, can make mistakes.
By the by, that Science article written by 58 medical professionals tracing the emergence of Ebola — 5 of them died from Ebola before it was published.” Read more.
Report: Possible Ebola Case At The Pentagon As Woman From West Africa Begins Vomiting On Tour Bus
No need to worry. Obama the Wise just appointed a Democrat political aide with absolutely no medical background whatsoever as the country’s new “Ebola Czar” …
- Flashback: Obama: ‘You Cannot Get Ebola Sitting Next To Someone On A Bus’
- Flashback: Contradiction: CDC Now Admits You CAN Get Ebola On A Plane Or Bus
WTOP – “Arlington County’s hazmat team is on the scene at the Pentagon due to an possible Ebola case on a tour bus.
Medics responded to the Pentagon this morning for a report of a woman on a bus who was sick and vomiting. When they learned that she had recently arrived from Africa, the hazmat team was called out of ‘a complete abundance of caution,’ Pentagon Force Protection Agency spokesman Chris Layman told ARLnow.com.
A large portion of the Pentagon south parking lot has been cordoned off with caution tape, and police are telling those who don’t work at the Pentagon to avoid the immediate surrounding area.
The woman has been transported via ambulance to a Inova Fairfax Hospital. The county’s medical director also responded to the call and is at the hospital with the patient, according to scanner traffic.
Layman said the bus was at the Pentagon for a tour of the Pentagon Memorial. Pedestrian and vehicle traffic has been shut down around it.
A tipster with knowledge of the emergency response tells ARLnow.com that the patient recently traveled from the West African nation of Sierra Leone, and that four first responders are being held at the hospital due to possible exposure. That tip could not be immediately confirmed.
Arlington medic units and Fairfax hazmat units are on scene at Inova Fairfax Hosptial, according to news helicopter footage.
As of 10:50 a.m., Arlington County was mobilizing its Emergency Operations Center to deal with the incident, according to Arlington County Police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck.
Just before noon, the county issued the following press release.” Read more.
Obama To Name Longtime Political Aide As ‘Ebola Czar,’ Bypassing Senior Health Official – “Responding to growing calls to appoint an ‘Ebola czar’ to lead America’s battle against the deadly virus, sources confirm to Fox News that President Obama plans to name Ron Klain, a longtime political hand with no apparent medical or health care background. He did, however, serve as chief of staff to Al Gore and later Vice President Biden. In making the appointment, Obama will effectively bypass another official, Dr. Nicole Lurie, who has served as assistant secretary for preparedness and response (ASPR) at the Department of Health and Human Services since July 2009.” Read more.
Texas: Second Health Care Worker Tests Positive For Ebola
And, like the first nurse who tested positive, would have also been wearing protective gear …
USA Today – “A second hospital worker who helped care for Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan has tested positive for the disease, the Texas Department of State Health Services said in a statement early Wednesday.
The health-care worker, who was not identified, reported a fever Tuesday and was immediately isolated at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital.
The statement said a preliminary Ebola test was conducted late Tuesday at a state public health lab in Austin.
A test to confirm the result will be conducted at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.
Dallas authorities moved quickly to try to contain any spread of the disease from the latest case. Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings went to the health worker’s apartment that was being decontaminated early Wednesday, according to Dallas Police Department spokesman Maj. Max Geron.
‘Health officials have interviewed the latest patient to quickly identify any contacts or potential exposures, and those people will be monitored,’ said state health department spokeswoman Carrie Williams in a written statement. ‘The type of monitoring depends on the nature of their interactions and the potential they were exposed to the virus.’
Zach Thompson, director of Dallas Health and Human Services, speaking on CBS-KTVT, said the latest hospital worker who tested positive for the virus was one of the 76 hospital staffers who cared for Duncan and were being monitored by the CDC. None of the original 48 people who had contact with him prior to hospitalization have shown signs of the virus, he said.” Read more.
Texas Ebola Hospital Cafeteria Becomes Ghost Town – “The cafeteria, where employees and patients at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital normally take a meal break, is looking more like a ghost town since the outbreak of Ebola. A cafeteria worker said their business had taken a major hit in the wake of Nina Pham’s becoming symptomatic after treating Thomas Eric Duncan while he was ill at this hospital. Breitbart Texas visited Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital on Monday to check out the mood of workers in the hospital. While visiting the various café’s throughout the hospital, there was a severe shortage of customers. A worker in ‘Café Presby’ said their business is down by 25 percent over the past two weeks. ‘I am concerned for our workers,’ the employee said. ‘I hope we don’t have to lay anyone off or cut their hours because of this.'” Read more.

CDC Director Tom Frieden told reporters Tuesday that so far, only one nurse who helped care for Duncan has contracted Ebola and no other people have been diagnosed with the disease. Nina Pham, 26, who Frieden did not identify by name, remains in stable condition, he said, while the CDC continues to monitor her boyfriend and her dog. ‘It’s possible we will see other people become ill,’ Frieden said.” Read more.
2 Out of 3 Countries Spreading Polio Are Muslim
We have “Allah” and his troublesome “laws” to thank for that …
Luke 21:10-11, “Then He said to them, ‘Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven…’”
By Daniel Greenfield, FrontPage Mag – “And the third country, Cameroon, is one fifth Muslim.
While India goes to Mars, Pakistan is leading the world in polio. It’s also one of three countries that are exporting polio to the rest of the world.
By Tuesday, the number of new polio cases in Pakistan stood at 202, and officials are bracing for potentially dozens of other cases by year’s end. Pakistan now accounts for 80 percent of global cases and is one of only three countries at risk of exporting the disease outside its borders, according to the World Health Organization.
80 percent. Pakistan is number one. The other Muslim country exporting polio is Syria.
Three of the 10 nations known to have polio have exported the virus outside their borders: Pakistan to Afghanistan, Cameroon to Equatorial Guinea, and Syria to Iraq.
Pakistan and Syria also exported Muslim terrorism to Afghanistan and Iraq. It’s only appropriate that they would also export polio.
WHO tried to impose travel restrictions on Pakistan, Syria and Cameroon.
Under the new recommendations, which are not legally binding but carry tremendous weight, the three countries deemed to pose the greatest risk of further spread—Pakistan, Cameroon, and Syria—must now ensure that all residents and long-term visitors have proof of recent polio vaccination before leaving the country. WHO is also encouraging the seven other nations known to have polio infections to implement similar measures.
Good luck with that. Meanwhile the West needs to act to impose restrictions on Pakistani settlers bringing terror and polio with them.” Source – FrontPage Mag.
Unsealed: A Closer Look At Revelation 6 And ‘The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse’ – “John describes the rider of the Black Horse in Revelation 6:5 as having ‘scales’ or ‘balances’ in his hands, employing the Greek word ‘zygos‘ which is also used metaphorically to refer to any sort of ‘burden’ or ‘bondage’ as well as the imposition of ‘troublesome laws’… In every facet of daily life a Muslim’s conduct must be based upon a strict set of Islamic laws, called the Sharia, and anyone failing to follow ‘Allah’s’ burdensome edicts must suffer draconian punishments, non-Musims included. But take a look at the Islamic world today. Is it exemplified by peace and justice and social harmony because of ‘Allah’s laws’? To the contrary, the Islamic world is ravaged by war, by deprivation, by desert and famine and starvation and pestilences, conditions that are true both physically and spiritually, both literally and figuratively. Because of ‘Sharia lawlessness’ the ‘Religion of Peace’ is typified by widespread destruction and disparity, and any number of recent headlines bear this out all too well.” Read more.
Health Care Worker At Dallas Hospital Tests Positive For Ebola
Despite wearing protective gear. But worry not, a Dallas County judge stresses that Ebola is impossible to contract simply by walking down the street. (Unless you cross the path of someone contagious nearby who coughs, or sneezes, or if you touch a contaminated surface) …
Recommended: Official: Other US Health Workers May Be Infected With Ebola
FOX News – “A health care worker at a Dallas hospital tested positive for Ebola in a preliminary test, the Texas Department of State Health Services said in a statement early Sunday.
The health care worker at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, who has not been identified, provided care for Thomas Eric Duncan, the first Ebola patient in the United States, who died last week.
If the preliminary diagnosis is confirmed, it would be the first known case of the disease being contracted or transmitted in the U.S.
A statement posted on the Texas Department of State Health Service’s website said ‘confirmatory testing will be conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.’
‘The health care worker is a heroic person who provided care to Mr. Duncan,’ Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said at a press conference Sunday morning. ‘We expected it was possible that a second person could contract the virus. Contingency plans were put into place.’
Jenkins said he wanted to stress Ebola cannot be contracted unless one comes into contact with the bodily fluids of an Ebola victim.
‘You cannot contract it by walking by people on the streets,’ he said. ‘There is nothing about this case that changes that basic premise of science.'” Read more.

Dallas Ebola Patient Dies, Now Another He Came In Contact With Is Developing Symptoms
More details to follow …
Update: Sounds like reports of a second possible case was a false alarm …
CBS DFW – “An afternoon news conference has been called in Frisco, a suburb of Dallas, to discuss a possible second case of Ebola.
According to a statement from the City of Frisco, the patient claims to have had contact with Thomas Eric Duncan, referred to as Dallas ‘patient zero.’
It is not clear how the patient had contact with Duncan or if the patient was one of the about 50 people being monitored by federal, state and local health officials.
The call came in shortly after noon from Care Now, 301 Main Street, where the patient was ‘exhibiting signs and symptoms of Ebola.’
CBS 11 has confirmed that the patient checked yes to one of the screening questions regarding travel to West Africa. The facility is in contact with the Centers for Disease Control and is holding everyone in the facility until receiving clearance from the CDC. The patient is being transported to a nearby hospital by Frisco firefighter-paramedics.
First responders are also examining clinical staff and other patients. It is unknown how many other people may have been exposed to the patient.” Read more.

World Health Organization Chief: Spread Of Ebola Outbreak Across Europe Is “Unavoidable”
Not good news, but not unexpected. And this in the wake of new worries being voiced by some experts that Ebola may be more easily spread than first assumed …
Luke 21:25, “… and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity …”
By James Rush, The Independent – “The spread of Ebola across Europe is ‘quite unavoidable’, a health chief has warned as four people were in hospital after a Spanish nurse became the first person known to have contracted the virus outside Africa.
The World Health Organisation’s European director Zsuzsanna Jakab has said while more cases will spread in Europe, the continent should be well prepared to control the disease.
Health officials in Spain today said four people – the nurse, her husband and two others – were being monitored in hospital in a bid to stem the spread of the virus.
‘Such imported cases and similar events as have happened in Spain will happen also in the future, most likely,’ Ms Jakab told Reuters.
‘It is quite unavoidable … that such incidents will happen in the future because of the extensive travel both from Europe to the affected countries and the other way around,’ she said.
Ms Jakab said European health workers were most at risk of becoming infected, but added that ‘the most important thing in our view is that Europe is still at low risk and that the western part of the European region particularly is the best prepared in the world to respond to viral haemorrhagic fevers including Ebola.’
It has emerged that the nurse, who had helped treat two Spanish missionaries who died after returning from West Africa with the disease, first complained of feeling ill a week before she was diagnosed with Ebola on Monday.” Read more.
Some Ebola Experts Worry Virus May Spread More Easily Than Assumed – “U.S. officials leading the fight against history’s worst outbreak of Ebola have said they know the ways the virus is spread and how to stop it. They say that unless an air traveler from disease-ravaged West Africa has a fever of at least 101.5 degrees or other symptoms, co-passengers are not at risk… Yet some scientists who have long studied Ebola say such assurances are premature — and they are concerned about what is not known about the strain now on the loose. It is an Ebola outbreak like none seen before, jumping from the bush to urban areas, giving the virus more opportunities to evolve as it passes through multiple human hosts. Dr. C.J. Peters, who battled a 1989 outbreak of the virus among research monkeys housed in Virginia and who later led the CDC’s most far-reaching study of Ebola’s transmissibility in humans, said he would not rule out the possibility that it spreads through the air in tight quarters.” Read more.

By David Mccormack, Mail Online – “A teenager from West Africa who became sick while visiting Florida caused Jackson Memorial Hospital to go on high alert on Sunday amid fears that they may have the deadly Ebola virus.
Officials said the patient took a taxi to Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach after he became sick with flu-like symptoms. Miami Beach Fire Rescue then transferred him to Jackson for further tests.
Although a firm diagnosis takes 48 hours, medical experts said the probability of Ebola in this particular case is extremely low.
Authorities were however taking no chances on Sunday and called in the hazardous materials team, reports the Miami Herald.
Several police cars and rescue vehicles ringed Holtz Children’s Hospital at Jackson and the unit was quarantined for two hours following the teenager’s transfer.
‘It’s important to point out that this patient did not meet the Centers for Disease Control case definition for Ebola, but the test is being conducted out of an abundance of caution, and health officials expect the test to rule out Ebola,’ said Florida Gov. Rick Scott on Sunday night.
‘Florida still does not have any confirmed cases of Ebola, and we hope we never do, but we are taking every preparedness step possible to keep our citizens and our visitors safe.’
Authorities haven’t disclosed the patient’s name or said which West African country he arrived from, or when.” Read more.
Child From Liberia Brought To Delaware Hospital For Possible Ebola – “Officials at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital in Delaware say a child was brought to their emergency department over the weekend because of possible symptoms of Ebola virus. Officials say the child, who is from Liberia, was brought in on Saturday and was given an assessment from the staff following the CDC guidelines for identifying suspected cases of Ebola. It was determined by the CDC the likelihood the child has Ebola was low, so the CDC decided not to test the child after they were notified. Officials say the child will continue to be observed in the hospital until it is determined they can be released.” Source – CBS Philly.
