No Greater Love: Beheaded Hostage Kenji Goto Was A Christian Who Laid Down His Life For A Friend

As we remember the love that Kenji Goto showed for his friend, may we also remember the love of One who laid down His life for us all …

Matthew 5:17, “Do not think that I [Jesus] came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.”

Romans 13:10b, “… love is the fulfillment of the law.”

Romans 5:8, “… God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

Zechariah 12:10, 13:6, “… and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced … And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.”

Here’s Jay Smith discussing Kenji’s sacrifice:
