Saudi Arabia’s Religious Police Outlaw “Tempting Eyes”

According to Islam, men have no self control. And women are all to blame

Hadith, Bukhari 5096, “[Muhammad said] The worst sin and distraction from virtue that I have left for man is woman”

Daniel 11:37a, “Neither shall he regard the God [YHWH] of his fathers [Abraham and Ishmael], nor the desire of women …”

AINA – “It’s a safe bet that Sheikh Motlab al Nabet, spokesman of Saudi Arabia’s religious police, isn’t a fan of Cole Porter. ‘The lure of you’ is precisely why Nabet announced yesterday that the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice will cover any women’s eyes that are deemed ‘tempting.’ ‘The men of the committee will interfere to force women to cover their eyes, especially the tempting ones’ he said. ‘[We] have the right to do so.’

What are ‘tempting’ eyes? One Saudi journalist mused on condition of anonymity that they are ‘uncovered eyes with a nice shape and makeup. Or even without makeup, if they are beautiful, the woman will be in trouble.’ The Orwellian-named committee did not provide a definition of tempting, but if they happen to rely on Merriam-Webster, then it means ‘having an appeal.’ What is an appeal? According to the dictionary, it is ‘arousing a sympathetic response.’ And what is sympathetic? ‘Showing empathy,’ according to Merriam-Webster.

So there you have it. To allow a women’s eyes to capture the unfettered glory of the world, one must empathize with her very existence. But the religious police — massively funded by King Abdullah — cannot do this. ‘It’s so stupid,’ the Saudi journalist tells me. ‘I don’t know what to say. They have to stop this. Many people will oppose this in the country. They won’t be silent.’

Perhaps they won’t be, but the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice has some of the most powerful backers in the country. Prince Naif, recently appointed heir to the throne, has said: ‘The committee is supported by all sides … It should be supported because it is a pillar from Islam. If you are a Muslim, you should support the committee.’ No surprise, then, that King Abdullah awarded this draconian body an additional 200 million riyals (about $53 million) in March.

How should America respond to this latest affront to Saudi women? Perhaps it can sponsor a contest of the most tempting eyes in Saudi Arabia. Women will send in pictures of their most tempting look and the winner will get to accompany President Obama during his next meeting with the Saudi dictator.

If Congress reconsidered the recent $60 billion U.S.-Saudi arms deal, the religious police might quickly find it ‘tempting’ to stop treating women as property.” Source – AINA.

Romans 8:5-8, “… those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Flashback: New Fatwa Forbids Women From Wearing High Heels Outside Home – “The recent emergence of the hardline Salafi trend in Egypt after the January 25 revolution has given way to a series of controversial fatwas that mainly focused on women, Copts, culture and democracy. Preacher Mustafa al-Adawi issued a fatwa prohibiting Muslim women from wearing high heels because they are a source of seduction for men. ‘A woman can only wear high heels for her husband but she is not to do so outside her house,’ he said.” Read more.

Flashback: Iran’s Religious Police: Uncovered Female Hair Releases Mind-Controlling ‘Sex Rays’ – “In recent weeks, 53 coffee shops and 87 restaurants have been closed in Tehran for serving customers with improper hijab or for other gender-related offenses … Iran’s sex cops have this weird belief that uncovered hair releases ‘sex rays’ that drive men wild. One of the strange beliefs of the Islamic religious bigots is that men are not responsible for their conduct when it comes to an impulse to make a sexual assault.” Read more.

1,000 Muslims Are Streaming Into Syria Every Month To Join The Islamic State

Why are 1,000 Muslims per month gathering themselves to a place that has absolutely nothing to do with Islam? We all know the answer to that, of course. And I can’t help but wonder if what we are witnessing today are the beginning stages of an even greater gathering that the Lord Himself has now set in motion …

Joel 3:11-12, “Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together around … Let the heathen be awakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen on every side.” (WEB)

Zechariah 12:2-3, “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.”

By Robert Spencer, Jihad Watch – “They’re coming from Europe, the U.S., and all over — with Tunisia leading the world in the number of jihadists it has sent to the Islamic State. ‘U.S. officials have attributed the flows to a range of factors, including the sophisticated recruiting campaigns orchestrated by groups in Syria such as the Islamic State and the relative ease with which militants from the Middle East, North Africa and Europe can make their way to that country.’ These officials are bound as a matter of Obama Administration policy not to know the real reason, which is the appeal of the idea of the caliphate. If they were to acknowledge that, they would be admitting that the Islamic State has something to do with Islam, and that is off-limits for Obama Administration wonks.

‘Airstrikes against Islamic State do not seen to have affected flow of fighters to Syria,’ by Greg Miller, Washington Post, October 30, 2014:

More than 1,000 foreign fighters are streaming into Syria each month, a rate that has so far been unchanged by airstrikes against the Islamic State and efforts by other countries to stem the flow of departures, according to U.S. intelligence and counterterrorism officials.

The magnitude of the ongoing migration suggests that the U.S.-led air campaign has neither deterred significant numbers of militants from traveling to the region nor triggered such outrage that even more are flocking to the fight because of American intervention.

“The flow of fighters making their way to Syria remains constant, so the overall number continues to rise,” a U.S. intelligence official said. U.S. officials cautioned, however, that there is a lag in the intelligence being examined by the CIA and other spy agencies, meaning it could be weeks before a change becomes apparent.

The trend line established over the past year would mean that the total number of foreign fighters in Syria exceeds 16,000, and the pace eclipses that of any comparable conflict in recent decades, including the 1980s war in Afghanistan.

U.S. officials have attributed the flows to a range of factors, including the sophisticated recruiting campaigns orchestrated by groups in Syria such as the Islamic State and the relative ease with which militants from the Middle East, North Africa and Europe can make their way to that country….

The vast majority of those militants have come from other countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Tunisia has sent more fighters to Syria than any other nation.

More than 2,000 fighters have come from countries in Europe, carrying passports that would enable them to travel relatively freely in Western countries….

Although U.S. officials have not made public estimates of the rate at which foreign fighters are flowing into Syria, they have provided totals that trace a clear trajectory. The 15,000 figure cited by the White House last month was up sharply from an estimate of 12,000 in July and 7,000 in March.
