Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson On ISIS: “Convert Them Or Kill Them”

Proverbs 20:26, “A wise king sifts out the wicked, and brings the threshing wheel over them.”

Usually any “convert or die” dictum is confined to Islamic terrorists and their war against non-Muslims which demands that all convert to Islam or be killed. Phil Robertson, however, astutely switches the terrorist’s own maxim on its head and pretty much sums up what the West’s response must be in return. Though it would be ideal to see Islamists repent and their mindsets changed from death to life, this will not be possible for the overwhelming majority of “Allah’s” death-loving serial killers (cf. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12). And since martyrdom for the cause of “Allah” is their highest aspiration, let’s help them to achieve that lofty goal …

Hadith, Bukhari 52:54, “[Mohammed said] I would love to be martyred in Allah’s Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred.”

By Jonathan Topaz, Politico – “‘Duck Dynasty’ star Phil Robertson has a prescription for how to handle Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant militants: ‘Convert them or kill them.’

Appearing on Fox News on Tuesday evening, the reality television personality quoted several verses from the Bible and asked why ISIL harbors hatred for the U.S. even as the military has increasingly withdrawn from the region.

Host Sean Hannity argued that ISIL is ‘at war with us’ and creates a significant threat to the U.S. and Israel, regardless of how the Obama administration or the American people view the group.

‘You either have to convert them — which I think would be next to impossible. I’m not giving up on them, but I’m just saying, either convert them or kill them,’ Robertson responded, likening ISIL militants to ‘street thugs on steroids.'” Read more.

Reblogged this on Your Dog Wouldn't Like It and commented:
God Bless Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty. Jesus Christ (Yesuah) and ONLY HE can save us from Sin and the consequences of Sin which is Eternal Death.

The lovers of Death are quite clearly of the Devil. So why do people have such a hard time equating Islam, (the religion of death) with Evil and the Devil?

I think that terrorism is working, it is creating so much fear in the west, that people are afraid to mention its cause, EVIL. Satan has enslaved most Muslims into a cult of DEATH. Many of our putative Leaders, Cameron, Obama etc. are so afraid of Islam, they call it a ‘religion of peace’.

They, Islamists want us to ‘convert or die’, well why not turn it the other way round and tell them that They, the Islamists must convert to sanity and normal human beings OR DIE.

For the first time I agree with Phil Robertson. Muslims ISIS whatever are in love with death. It would be good for them to change their mentality but it seems they want to have this: eternal soul death.

It is sad to hear this quote from someone that I respect. This is exactly what ISIS does: convert or be killed. Christians are called to be the light of the world, not the sword of the Lord. God gives that role to the Ceasars of this world. http://textsincontext.wordpress.com/2012/05/31/romans-13-in-context-sword-pacifism/

What would you suggest, Michael? Islam is the face of evil and the mark of the beast. Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord of Hosts.

Hi Michael, you’re missing Phil Robertson’s point entirely. What Phil Robertson is saying is not what ISIS is doing at all. Remember, in the opening of the segment Sean Hannity asked, “How should America deal with the simultaneous rise of radical Islam around the globe and a rising tide of anti-Semitism and anti-Christian behavior, as we saw, ‘Convert or Die’ in Mosul?” In this context, Sean subsequently asks Phil “How should we deal with it?”

As Phil Robertson is himself aware, the modus operandi of these Islamic terrorists is to kill non-Muslims simply because they’re non-Muslims. In other words, Christians should die simply for being Christians. Phil, however, is not saying that Muslims should die simply because they’re Muslims. Rather, he is using these killer’s own verbiage, and I think rather brilliantly, in order to drive home the sobering reality that Western nations ultimately have very few options when it comes to dealing with this “convert or be killed” mentality. These serial killers must never be allowed to terrorize the world by demanding that everybody convert or die. If they do that, then America and all Western nations need to give that same ultimatum to the terrorists — either you change your ways and stop the killing, or you will be the ones who will be killed.

What other options does the civilized world have?

Phil Robertson is using wisdom in this. Muslims are Satanic. No one should trust them. The Quran is divided against itself. The liar of all liars is like that. Had a Moderate Muslim exist there would be a book used by Moderate that countered Extremists. There is no such book. Had Muslims respected Jesus the Quran would have been discarded a long time ago. All Muslims must never be distrusted. It is not slamoislamophobia to not trust a Muslim. It is using wisdom to not trust a Muslim.

Muslims who kill Christians need to be stopped, with lethal force if necessary, not just to preserve life, liberty and justice, but so that the gospel can be shared with other Muslims who can be won to Christ. The problem is, just killing off ISIS won’t prevent the root of Islam from sprouting new groups like ISIS. Islam is the enemy of both God and humanity, and it must be destroyed.
