Morning Star News – “On the morning of June 9 in southern Yemen, Saeed woke to the sound of screaming. He shot out of bed, pushed panicked family members aside and saw his wife stumbling out of their kitchen, engulfed in flames.

His wife, Nazeera, had been preparing breakfast at about 9 a.m. when she poured liquid from a cooking oil bottle into a hot pan. The liquid flashed, and the bottle exploded. While her four children watched, screaming, Nazeera was being burned alive.

‘I rushed out of the room,’ Saeed (full name undisclosed for security reasons) told Morning Star News, weeping. ‘I couldn’t even speak to ask her what happened. All I could think about was putting the fire out and then getting her to the hospital. But my 16-year-old son, he couldn’t stop himself and held on to her, hugging her while she was burning. He got hurt, and I had to pull him away from her.’

About two weeks later, Nazeera, 33, died as a result of her burns. When Saeed returned to his home in a village (undisclosed for security reasons) after her death, a relative told him the unthinkable – members of both his family and hers had taken the vegetable oil out of the bottle and replaced it with gasoline. Saeed knew the reason – many years ago, the two had become Christians and refused to return to Islam.

After living in hiding in Yemen for several months, Saeed was able to flee to the relative safety of another country, he told Morning Star News.

Before the attack, Saeed and his wife had already decided to flee their families and the 99 percent Muslim country on the Arabian Peninsula. They got their travel papers two days before the sabotaged bottle exploded.

After doctors said there was nothing more they could do for Nazeera, friends of the couple were able to secure a room in a hospital in Egypt for further treatment. Nazeera died that day, before they could go.

Saeed was with her when she died. Among her last words to him was not to worry and to take care of their children. Saeed left the hospital and took the two-hour trip back home. There a relative told him that one of his brothers and one of her brothers had conspired against them to punish them.

‘I was told by one of our relatives that it was a set-up, and they replaced the cooking oil with petrol, which caught flames as soon as she poured it out,’ he said.

When Saeed went to police for help, officers told him to bring witnesses who could testify about the alleged conspiracy to sabotage the cooking oil bottle. His children only saw the explosion and could not testify regarding sabotage, and Saeed’s relatives refused to incriminate the alleged conspirators, their own family members.” Read more.

Judicial Watch – “Islamic terrorist groups are operating in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle born improvised explosive devices (VBIED). High-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources have confirmed to Judicial Watch that a warning bulletin for an imminent terrorist attack on the border has been issued.  Agents across a number of Homeland Security, Justice and Defense agencies have all been placed on alert and instructed to aggressively work all possible leads and sources concerning this imminent terrorist threat.

Specifically, Judicial Watch sources reveal that the militant group Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) is confirmed to now be operating in Juarez, a famously crime-infested narcotics hotbed situated across from El Paso, Texas. Violent crimes are so rampant in Juarez that the U.S. State Department has issued a number of travel warnings for anyone planning to go there. The last one was issued just a few days ago.

Intelligence officials have picked up radio talk and chatter indicating that the terrorist groups are going to ‘carry out an attack on the border,’ according to one JW source.  ‘It’s coming very soon,’ according to this high-level source, who clearly identified the groups planning the plots as ‘ISIS and Al Qaeda.’ An attack is so imminent that the commanding general at Ft. Bliss, the U.S. Army post in El Paso, is being briefed, another source confirms. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) did not respond to multiple inquiries from Judicial Watch, both telephonic and in writing, about this information.

The disturbing inside intelligence comes on the heels of news reports revealing that U.S. intelligence has picked up increased chatter among Islamist terror networks approaching the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. While these terrorists reportedly plan their attack just outside the U.S., President Obama admits that ‘we don’t have a strategy yet’ to combat ISIS. ‘I don’t want to put the cart before the horse,’ the commander-in-chief said this week during a White House press briefing. ‘I think what I’ve seen in some of the news reports suggest that folks are getting a little further ahead of what we’re at than what we currently are.’

The administration has also covered up, or at the very least downplayed, a serious epidemic of crime along the Mexican border even as heavily armed drug cartels have taken over portions of the region. Judicial Watch has reported that the U.S. Border Patrol actually ordered officers to avoid the most crime-infested stretches because they’re ‘too dangerous’ and patrolling them could result in an ‘international incident’ of cross border shooting. In the meantime, who could forget the famous words of Obama’s first Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano; the southern border is ‘as secure as it has ever been.’

He said the U.S. now is in ‘the most dangerous position we’ve ever been in.’ Responding to questions about terror and the threat facing Americans, he said: ‘They’re crazy out there. Seized ISIS Laptop Shows Plans For Biological Weapons Attacks

So much peaceful news coming out of the Islamic world today. Thank goodness it has nothing to do with the religion of “use-whatever-means-you-can-to-terrorize-them” Islam, otherwise we’d all have real cause for concern …

By Katie Zavadski, New York Mag – “A laptop purportedly belonging to an ISIS fighter was found by other rebels in Syria, and seems to show that its owner was gathering information to plan biological weapons attacks.

Abu Ali, a commander of a ‘moderate Syrian rebel group,’ showed the dusty Dell laptop — obtained after his men took over an ISIS building — to Foreign Policy. (What counts as a ‘moderate Syrian rebel group’ these days? Al Nusra?)

The laptop itself appeared to belong to a young Tunisian chemistry and physics student named Muhammed, whose course work was confirmed to FP by a Tunisian university he attended until 2011. He’s one of almost 2,500 Tunisians thought to have moved to Syria to join the ranks of ISIS.

On it, Foreign Policy‘s reporters found documents in English, French, and Arabic, stowed away on a non-password-protected hard drive. In addition to the usual videos, bomb-making instruction manuals, and such, the laptop contained an unexpected surprise:

The ISIS laptop contains a 19-page document in Arabic on how to develop biological weapons and how to weaponize the bubonic plague from infected animals.

“The advantage of biological weapons is that they do not cost a lot of money, while the human casualties can be huge,” the document states.

The document includes instructions for how to test the weaponized disease safely, before it is used in a terrorist attack. “When the microbe is injected in small mice, the symptoms of the disease should start to appear within 24 hours,” the document says.

The laptop also includes a 26-page fatwa, or Islamic ruling, on the usage of weapons of mass destruction.

CBS News – “A new report claims that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is targeting Pope Francis — a report that the Vatican says is simply not true.

According to Il Tempo, Israeli sources reportedly told the Italian newspaper that the pope is ‘in the crosshairs of ISIS.’ The report stated that Francis is being targeted because he is ‘the greatest exponent of the Christian religions’ and the ‘bearer of false truth.’

The Vatican, though, denounced the report.

‘There is nothing serious to this,’ Father Federico Lombardi S.J., a Vatican spokesman, told Catholic News Agency. ‘There is no particular concern in the Vatican. This news has no foundation.’

The Catholic News Agency reports that Italy has issued a nationwide terror alert, despite no imminent threats or specifics about a potential attack on the country.

On Friday, Britain raised the terror threat level from substantial to severe, meaning that a terrorist attack is considered highly likely.” Read more.

The severe warning means an attack is ‘highly likely’, rather than the earlier assessment of substantial where a terror strike is ‘a strong possibility’. Home Secretary Theresa May stressed there was no intelligence to suggest an imminent attack.

After the decision by Britain’s Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre, she added: ‘The increase in the threat level is related to developments in Syria and Iraq, where terrorist groups are planning attacks against the West.

‘Some of those plots are likely to involve foreign fighters who have travelled there from the UK and Europe to take part in those conflicts. We face a real and serious threat in the UK from international terrorism. I urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.’

Scotland Yard Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe warned days ago that close to 200 potentially ‘militarised’ fighters are back in London. He also proposed UK jihadists have their passports revoked to stop them returning here.

They also beheaded US journalist James Foley, 40, in revenge for US air strikes in Iraq to stop the killings. Unprecedented: The Truth About ISIS And Why This Terrorist Group Is Different From All Others

According to the article below, “many Muslim nations are looking at the extreme violence, beheading, crucifixions, etc., of the terrorist organization and realizing it is giving Islam a bad name.” But, if we dig a little deeper, what is giving Islam a “bad name” is not simply what ISIS is doing. It’s what Islam is teaching. According to the Qur’an, a true Muslim is one who pursues, fights against, strives against, is ruthless against, sieges, slays, beheads, strikes fear into the hearts of, and terrorizes non-Muslims in order to be victorious over them by either converting them to Islam or, if they refuse, destroying them. Even the “prophet” of Islam himself — who the Qur’an calls an “excellent example to follow” in Sura 33:21 — said that he was made “victorious with terror” (Hadith, Bukhari 2977). As such, if ISIS is not representing true Islam, then who today is most accurately representing Islam as it is taught in the Qur’an? On the grounds of the Qur’an itself, the “Islamic State” is not violating Islamic teachings. It is upholding them. And this is why Islam has never seen, nor will it ever know, true and lasting peace with non-Muslims — because if the Qur’an is any indication, true and lasting peace is, well, un-Islamic …

The Lid – “ISIS is different from other terrorists in two main ways. First it is unprecedented in its level of violence. We are talking about a terrorist organization whose leaders were thrown out of al Qaeda for being too violent. That is a special kind of crazy. But just as important is the fact that ISIS is a more of a single operation, unlike al Qaeda, which had a core group surrounded by many “franchise” terrorist groups, ISIS is a single entity. And as a single entity the “Islamic State” or whatever they are calling themselves today has been able to develop a self-sustaining economy that among other things makes it the richest terrorist group ever and able to fund a lot more evil than other terrorists.

As you can see by the chart above, ISIS has taken over large swaths of both Iraq and Syria, and closing in on Jordan, Turkey, and Lebanon and everywhere it goes it raises money through extortion, oil pirating and kidnapping. This is significant because one of the ways free nations fight terrorists is cutting off the money, since ISIS has its own money that strategy would be a much more difficult task.

Today’s Wall Street Journal outlines the emerging financial empire being built by the vicious terrorist group that is building a self-sustaining economy across the territory it controls in Syria and Iraq, by  pirating oil and exacting tribute from a native population of at least eight million people…

The ISIS economy has come just in time as many Muslim nations are looking at the extreme violence, beheading, crucifixions, etc., of the terrorist organization and realizing it is giving Islam a bad name.  Surprisingly these same countries said nothing (and still say nothing) about groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and al Qaeda.

‘I formally and humbly request to be made a citizen of the Islamic State,’ Hasan wrote in the letter to ‘Ameer, Mujahad Dr. Abu Bakr al-Baghadadi,’ Fox News reported. ‘It would be an honor for any believer to be an obedient citizen soldier to a people and its leader who don’t compromise the religion of All-Mighty Allah to get along with the disbelievers.’

John Galligan, the attorney for Hasan, said the letter ‘underscores how much of his life, actions and mental thought process are driven by religious zeal. And it also reinforces my belief that the military judge committed reversible error by prohibiting Major Hasan from both testifying and arguing … how his religious beliefs’ motivate his shooting,’ Fox News reported.

By Sasha Goldstei, NY Daily News – “A Chicago man trailing an ISIS flag outside his car window is behind bars after leading cops on a chase and then telling officers the vehicle was rigged with explosives and would detonate if searched, police said.

Cops tried to pull over Emad Karakrah, 49, Wednesday morning after a caller noticed a suspicious vehicle around 9:15 a.m. on the city’s south side, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Karakrah apparently was proudly waving the black and white flag favored by Islamic State of Iraq and Syria terrorists.

The man took off, leading officers through several red lights before a second patrol car corralled the fleeing flag-bearer.

As he was taken into custody, Karakrah warned officers the car contained a bomb and would explode if search by police, the paper reported.

The threat prompted cops to bring in a bomb squad, the FBI and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to search the supposedly rigged silver Pontiac, but nothing was found.” Read more.
