By Perry Chiaramonte, FOX News – “From the Middle East to Russia, and from Africa to Asia, the bloody tide of jihad is rising as increasingly fragmented terror groups battle governments and each other for power and property.

Daily reports of the terror group Islamic States of Iraq and Syria/Levant, or ISIS, advancing toward a caliphate in Iraq have supplanted equally horrific news from Nigeria, where Boko Haram slaughtered schoolboys and kidnapped girls to sell into slavery. All the while, terror attacks in the name of Islam have continued in China, where members of the Islamic sect known as Uighurs are suspected of mass stabbing attacks, and Kenya, where the Muslim terrorist group al-Shabaab murdered 48 people a week ago.

‘It is metastasizing worldwide because we are seeing radical Islam and groups organized across the world feeling empowered to bring back and resurrect an Islamic caliphate and establish Islam as they see it in their own eyes as it was practiced in the days of Muhammad,’ said Brigitte Gabriel, founder of Act! for America, and author of ‘They Must be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How We Can Do It.’

Many of the attacks are from Al Qaeda splinter groups or loose affiliates seeking to spread the message of Shariah law and hatred of the West. What the terrorism hierarchy loses in central coordination, it more than makes up for in global reach.

‘People splinter off and create their own factions, like ISIS,’ said Kamran Bokhari, vice president of Middle Eastern and South Asian Affairs for geopolitical analysis firm Stratfor, and author of ‘Political Islam in the Age of Democratization.’ ‘It’s really about power — everyone wants a payday.’

Recent months have seen extremists Boko Haram and ISIS on the attack, seemingly one-upping one another in terms of brutality. Both of those groups reportedly broke ties with Al Qaeda, in part because their tactics were too extreme even for the terror organization that launched the 9/11 attacks.

ISIS, which shares the goal of toppling Iraq’s government with Sunni fighters, has reportedly alienated its brothers in arms with it sheer viciousness. Decapitating government soldiers, shooting Christians point blank and implementing strict Shariah law in conquered territory, the group seeks to establish an Islamic caliphate in the historic region known as the Levant. They have taken over the major Iraqi cities of Mosul and Tikrit, and are bent on capturing the Shiite holy cities of Karbala and Najaf and the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

Boko Haram has proven equally atrocious, incinerating young boys after locking them in a school and kidnapping young Christian girls and forcing them to convert to Islam. Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has said the group is responsible for killing 12,000 and leaving another 8,000 permanently injured. More than 200 schoolgirls remain missing after being kidnapped in April, and on Monday, local reports said it had seized 60 women and girls, as well as more than 30 boys in villages in Borno State, in the nation’s northeast.

Earlier this month, Boko Haram was blamed for killing hundreds of people in a massacre in northeastern Nigeria along the border with Cameroon, and deadly car bombs have frequently rocked the Nigerian capital of Abuja in recent months.

ICC – “International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that Meriam Yahia Ibrahim, her husband, Daniel Wani, and two children were arrested at a Khartoum airport earlier this morning. The arrest follows Ibrahim’s court-ordered release from prison and acquittal of charges of adultery and apostasy just yesterday.

Ibrahim, a 27-year-old mother of two and wife of a United States (U.S.) citizen, was sentenced to death for her Christian faith on May 15 by the El Haj Yousif Public Order Court in Khartoum. Ibrahim’s case was filed with the Khartoum Court of Appeals on May 22, which ordered her full acquittal and immediate release from the Omdurman Federal Women’s Prison, where she and her two children, 22-month-old, Martin, and 4-week-old, Maya, had been held for 126 days.

In speaking with a member of Ibrahim’s legal defense this morning, ICC learned that Meriam, Daniel, and their two children were arrested for ‘national security concerns’ by members of the Sudanese military.

According to that same defense lawyer, the Ibrahims were, at the time of this release, being held at a ‘National Security Office.’ In speaking with ICC, Ibrahim’s defense expressed great concern over the situation, repeatedly stating that ‘no one can do anything.’ The defense explained that no legal mechanism exists by which to intervene on the Ibrahims’ behalf. Some ICC sources also reported that the Ibrahims’ legal defense have been threatened with arrest by Sudanese authorities.

Though the Ibrahims’ legal defense did not confirm the destination the Ibrahims were scheduled to fly to, the BBC has reported that Daniel stated his intention Monday to ‘leave for the US.’ Unconfirmed reports, however, have speculated that the family was on its way to South Sudan, Daniel’s home country.

ICC’s Regional Manager for Africa, Cameron Thomas, said, ‘We are deeply concerned by Meriam, Daniel, Martin and Maya’s arrest this morning at the hands of military personnel. The implication that an educated mother, debilitated father, toddler and infant pose a national security concern is absolutely absurd. Just yesterday, a Sudanese court not only released Meriam and her children, but acquitted her of all charges, dropped all imposed sentences and recognized as legal her marriage to Daniel, which had previously been annulled by a lower court. For the Sudanese State to violate not only its interim constitution, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the African Charter for Human and People’s Rights and now a decision by one of the highest courts in its allegedly independent judiciary is inexcusable. In arresting Meriam and her family this morning, the al-Bashir Regime has once again confirmed its commitment to the violation, not the protection, of human rights and religious freedom, and the international community must respond immediately.'” Source – Persecution.org.

By Sharona Schwartz, The Blaze – “British and Australian militants with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria in a new video extolled the benefits of joining the jihad in Syria and Iraq — benefits supposedly ranging from the return of an Islamic caliphate to curing depression.

The English-language video, titled ‘There Is No Life Without Jihad,’ is clearly aimed toward encouraging Muslims from Western countries to travel to the Middle East and join ISIS.

‘We understand no borders,’ said a British militant identified on the video as Abu Muthanna Al-Yemini. He said he and his comrades have been fighting in Syria, but soon would move to the Iraqi battlefield, where major cities have fallen to the Sunni extremist group in recent weeks.

‘And we will even go to Jordan and Lebanon with no problems, wherever our sheik wants to send us,’ he said. ‘We hope in the khilafa [caliphate]. It’s imminent.’

Another ISIS fighter claimed medical benefits to joining ISIS, a group designated by the State Department as a terrorist organization and which has been documented repeatedly carrying out war crimes including extrajudicial shootings, beheadings and crucifixions.

‘The cure for the depression is jihad,’ the ISIS recruit said. ‘Oh my brothers, come to jihad, and feel the honor we are feeling. Feel the happiness that we are feeling.’

The Middle East Media Research Institute, which tracks extremist groups, posted the video on its website after it appeared on jihadist forums Friday.

The father of Abu Muthanna — whose real name is Nasser — told the BBC that his son disappeared several months ago along with his 17-year-old son after being offered a slot to study in four different British medical schools.

He described the elder son as quiet, well-educated and intelligent. The father told the BBC he feared his sons would ‘come back to me in a coffin.’

Abu Dujana al-Hindi, a Briton, said in the video to Muslims back home in Europe: ‘Look around you while you sit in comfort and ask yourselves, is this how you want to die?’

‘Your family, your wife, these people whom you claim to love, if you really loved them, then martyrdom is what you do for them,’ al-Hindi added.” Read more.

Iraq: ISIS Rapes Christian Mother And Daughter Unable To Pay Sharia Law Tax, Kill 4 Christian Women For Not Dressing Muslim

According to Islam, the religiously-sanctioned extortion tax imposed upon Christians — called “jizya” — will one day come to an end, but it will not be abolished because Islam will suddenly have a change of heart and grant Christians equal status amongst Muslims. It will be abolished because at that time all Christians who refuse to convert to Islam will then be slaughtered for the glory of the magnificent and merciful “Allah.” After all, how can Muslims impose their “tax” upon Christians when the Islamic version of “Jesus” sees to it that no Christians are left to impose it upon? …

AINA – “The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has begun to brutally enforce Islamic laws (AINA 2014-06-14) in Mosul, Iraq, which it overran on June 10.

Dr. Sallama Al Khafaji, a member of the Iraq High Commission for Human Rights, told AINA that on Saturday, June 21 ISIS began demanding a poll tax (jizya) from Christians in Mosul (AINA 2014-06-21). In one instance, ISIS members entered the home of an Assyrian family in Mosul and demanded the poll tax (jizya). When the Assyrian family said they did not have the money, three ISIS members raped the mother and daughter in front of the husband and father. The husband and father was so traumatized that he committed suicide.

‘The Christians have told me that they cannot pay this tax,’ said Dr. Al-Khafaji, ‘and they say ‘what am I to do, shall I kill myself?’

According to the Arabic language website Alghadeer, four Christian women were shot and killed by ISIS members because they were not wearing veils. AINA has not confirmed this and this website is known to be administered by Shiites.” Source – AINA.

Emad Damian, 50, and his cousin Medhat Damian, 37, from the village of Sahel Selim in Assuit Province, were contacted two days before their murder by the leader of a Muslim gang, who was identified by Watany Coptic Newspaper as Ashraf Ahmed Mohammed Khalajah, a registered criminal from the village.
