Islamist Persecution Of Christians Expected To Rise In 2014, Warns Release International

For peaceful purposes …

Matthew 24:22, 27, “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened… For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”

Colossians 3:12, “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering …”

Acts 14:22b, “… we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”

Cross Rhythms – “Islamist persecution is set to rise in 2014 ahead of elections in Nigeria and Afghanistan. Communism remains a potent oppressor of Christians, with North Korea maintaining its reputation as the worst persecutor of Christianity in the world.

‘2014 looks set to be a turbulent year for Christians – especially ahead of elections in Nigeria and Afghanistan,’ says Colin King, the UK director of Release International, which serves the persecuted Church worldwide.

‘Extreme Islam is on the rise, leading to greater persecution and an exodus of Christians from the Middle East. But the heartening news is that this reality is now being acknowledged publicly. It has been recognised in the UK parliament and by Prince Charles.

‘2014 is the 25th anniversary of the collapse of the Berlin Wall, yet today communist and former communist countries remain active in oppressing Christians,’ says Colin King. ‘The worst persecutor of Christians in the world today continues to be North Korea.’ …

Persecution is on the rise in the predominantly Muslim countries that have a history of communism. In the former Soviet Republics of Central Asia, ‘persecution is still everywhere,’ says another Release partner…

2014 and 2015 are election years in Nigeria. Release contacts expect an upsurge in violence by extremists trying to destabilise the country…

In 2014, US and NATO troops are due to leave Afghanistan. Under the Taliban, anyone who converted to Christianity faced execution by the state or being murdered by their relatives. Today, the authorities turn a blind eye to persecution…

2014 also looks set to be a difficult year for Christians in Pakistan. ‘Persecution of Christians in Pakistan is increasing,’ says a Release partner…

In the Middle East, the continuing exodus of Christians from Egypt, Syria and Iraq looks set to continue into 2014. In Iraq, many Christians displaced by violence have gone to the north, and Christians continue to be driven out of Syria.” Read more.

Flashback: Muslim Group: ‘Christianity Should Be Destroyed And Wiped From The Face Of The Earth’, It Is ‘Evil’ and ‘Demonic’ – “A Muslim group has released its plan to ‘wipe Christianity from the face of the earth,’ Islamize the West and establish an Islamic system of world government – placing those who resist ‘under a police state.’… ‘Islamic Power has returned upon the face of the earth and the Revived Global Caliphate has set eyes on the West to once and for all rid the world of Christianity and there is nothing you can do about it,’ al-Mohammedi said. He makes his objective clear.” Read more.

I’m convinced that the rise of Barack Obama is a judgement from GOD. Obama is purging our military, and filling the government with jihadist. Islam is on the move in America, and I doubt that it will be too long before we see all restraints cast off, and the mass murder of Christians, and Jews take place out in the open, just as it is being done in other countries.

I would love to believe that those who cleve to a pretribulation rapture view were right, but I don’t. I’m firmly planted in the prewrath crowd. Acts14:22b comes to mind. “We must through much tribulation enter the Kingdom of God.”

To Denise – Yeah, to be sure, if the pre-tribbers are right, then ya sure could’a fooled the Christians in Africa and the Middle East.

I agree re your comments about Obama. I do not live in America but it is plain to see he is no good for your country. BUT we must remember God is in control about who governs who and Obama is obviously the right man in that job to work God’s purposes out – yes judgement indeed! We will most certainly not be raptured off earth before things get tougher. For our brothers and sisters in Muslem countries it already is tougher – it is the tribulation.
