‘Duck Dynasty’ Dad: Show Editors Cut Out Praying ‘In Jesus Name’ To Avoid Offending Muslims

Heaven forbid if non-Muslims in a non-Muslim country dare say or do anything that could potentially offend the perpetually offended. As Jihad Watch’s Robert Spencer correctly points out, “this is yet another reinforcement of the idea that terrorism works, and jihadist intimidation and thuggery work: cowards start falling into line even without any explicit threat” …

John 15:21, “But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.”

CBS Houston – “Popular A&E reality show ‘Duck Dynasty’ continues to smash competition in the ratings on Wednesday nights, but one star has spoken out about how the show is portrayed.

In an interview with Sports Spectrum TV earlier this year that’s only recently gone viral, Phil Robertson admitted that fake bleeps were inserted into the show even though there was no cursing happening.

‘The inserted fake bleeps … like somebody had used profanity, but no one had used profanity,’ Robertson said. ‘I ask those guys that produce the show … ‘What’s the point of the fake bleeps?’’

Robertson admitted that there are up to 20 editors who are ‘arranging the scenes’ on the show so they might think that’s where cursing likely happened.

‘Of course these people probably thought that there was some profanity going on which there was zero,’ Robertson stated. ‘If we’re not using profanity, why make it look like we’re using profanity? What is the point? Why don’t you just run it and say what we say?’

Robertson also said that the name Jesus has been cut out during the family’s prayer scene at the end of the show.

‘So they would just have me saying, ‘Thank you Lord for the food, thank you for loving us. Amen.’ So I said, ‘Why would you cut out ‘In Jesus’ name?’ They said, ‘Well those editors are probably doing that. They just think that they don’t want to offend some of the Muslims or something.’’

Robertson said that since that conversation the show has been leaving ‘Jesus’ in the show.” Read more.

Remember Elvis! Although he’s not my idol, he did something that I believe is worth remembering.

His first TV appearance, back in the ’50’s or ’60’s was on the “Ed Sullivan Show”. He was asked to sing several songs, one of which, according to his own account, was to be “Peace in the Valley”, a gospel song. Well, the show director objected, and Elvis told him that he had “promised my Mama that I will sing it” and “if you don’t want that song, then I won’t sing anything at all”. And he sang it!

I believe it is high time that we TRUE believers stand up for the TRUTH and tell the REAL infidels who’s the REAL BOSS–JESUS CHRIST IS LORD OF ALL!!!!!

Many of the viewers and fans are new to watching Christ filled people, by thumping them on the head with bibles, and threatening them by not handing money over to a church will turn them off.. Remember folks our walks with Jesus is not all at the same speed.

True! Some may not respond favorably to what they will undoubtedly call an assault of religious bigotry.

Hey, my answer to the nay-sayers is purely and simply, “GET A LIFE! Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth and the LIFE. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me.”

    dapreach1,
    I agree totally!
About time we stand in the face of this insanity. Call it what it is – intimidation, cowardliness and blasphemy against the most important person who ever walked this earth: the great and ONLY Saviour; the living LORD Jesus Christ.
Let no-one make a mistake – one day EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AT HIS WONDERFUL NAME. THEN we shall see!!!!

We live in the days where far too many people are offended by words.

I have disputed with people who believe there is no God as well as those that believe in a diverse number of gods.

As you might know many deny Jesus as being the true God and they like most people do not understand the meaning of the Son of God.

The purpose of this letter however is to provide strength to any arguments you might have with those who believe there is no God and to those who deny Jesus as the Lord God.

The people of the whole earth are all on the same time table; therefore if you ever find yourself in a disputation concerning this matter, seek an opportunity to ask him/her what year we are in.

    Then ask BC or AD?

Then ask him/her their understanding of the meaning of years in BC and AD.

More oft than not they might say BC is:
    Before the birth of Christ,
    and AD is:
    After Christ’s Death.

You can take it from there, but know this:

BC is Before Christ but AD is not After Death.
The AD is Latin for Anno Domini meaning in the Year of our Lord. Since BC is before God was manifested in the flesh, then we know our years are in the days of this same person: In the Year of our Lord Jesus.

We are not in the year of Muhammad.
Nor in the year of Buddha.
Nor as Jamie the Foxx would have the fools believe in the year of BHO.

We are in the year of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

      “Thank You, Beryl Boanerges!”

This little “tid bit” of information usually puts an end to most disputes with anyone concerning “Who?” they believe in as it will leave them questioning their “own” beliefs!!!

So true, Beryl! Of course the atheists are trying to change A.D. to C.E. (in the Common Era). Ahemmm! Yeah, sure, that makes lots of sense! Funny thing is–they have to somehow erase hundreds of years of documented history when everybody but everybody used BC and AD!

Oh well, of course we all know how that we’re all so much smarter nowadays then those “religious” bigotted forefathers of ours. Why, we’ve even invented the atom bomb so we can completely annhiliate ourselves more quickly and efficiently!

How true, when God’s Word tells us, “The fool hath said in his heart, ‘There is no God’ “!

Actually, it is scriptural for us as Christians to pray in Jesus’ name.
    John 14: 13-14

13And * whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do , that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Jesus came to fulfill the scriptures; therefore being the image of the invisible God, manifested in the flesh, this holy one person Jesus being the child and the Father was required to pray and when he prayed his prayer returned to his own bosom.

And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. Luke 24:27
And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Luke 24:44
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. Psalms 65:2
But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. Psalms 35:13

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8
For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Malachi 3:6
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: Deuteronomy 6:4
Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. John 20:27
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. John 20:28

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. John 8:58
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. Exodus 3:14
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:29
