Report: Syria Smuggling Chemical Weapons To Iraq

Because Iraq, you know, it’s such a wonderfully secure country today

By Maayana Miskin, INN – “Syria’s government has responded to pressure over a recent chemicalweapons massacre by promising to give up its chemical weapons. However, according to the Lebanese paper Al-Mustaqbal, its method of disposal has been to ship the weapons to Iraq.

The paper reported that roughly 20 Syrian trucks crossed into Iraq under heavy guard on Thursday and Friday, without undergoing cargo checks.

Al-Mustaqbal is affiliated with the anti-Syrian camp in Lebanese politics. Thepaper also quoted an Iraqi official as denying that his country has receivedchemical weapons shipments.

‘These accusations are all rumors and useless and no one believes them,’ said Saad Maan, a spokesperson for Iraq’s Interior Ministry.

Iraqi officials issued a similar denial last week after Salim Idriss, a general in the Syrian rebel group Free Syrian Army, reported the movement of Syrianchemical weapons to Iraq.” Read more.

Flashback: Obama’s Irresponsible Withdrawal From Iraq Allowed Al Qaeda To Drive Iraq Toward Chaos, Lawlessness – “Security inside Iraq is unraveling at an alarming pace, and al Qaeda terrorists there aren’t just pulling the thread; they’re setting it on fire. More than 1,000 Iraqis were killed in bombings and shootings last month, making July the deadliest month since violence between Sunni and Shiite Muslims peaked from 2006 to 2008, the United Nations says. On Thursday, gunmen stormed a policeman’s home in Tikrit and killed him, his wife and their three children. When neighbors later approached the house, a nearby car bomb exploded and killed eight people — a noted al Qaeda tactic …” Read more.

There has been at least one bombing or shooting on every day of the holy month but one.” Read more.

Flashback: Al Qaeda In Iraq Sets Sights On The US, Promises New Attacks In The Heartland Of America – “The militant organization that was once the scourge of the U.S. military campaign in Iraq and probably is responsible for more than 100 deaths in the country over the last few days has set its sights on launching attacks in the United States, intelligence officials said. Al Qaeda in Iraq released a message this week that threatened to strike at the ‘heart’ of the United States, and several associates of the group have been arrested in the U.S. and Canada in the last two years, said American officials, a sign that the organization has tried to establish a network in North America.” Read more.

Ahemmm!!! But why wouldn’t Syria ship all of their WMD back to their buds in Iraq now that Syria is under fire for having used them??? Iraq is exactly where these WMD came from back in the early 2000’s. For sure, we gave Saddam Hussein more than sufficient time and notice to move all of his WMD to Syria back then–WMD that we KNOW he had–BECAUSE HE USED THEM ON HIS OWN PEOPLE!!!! Let’s face it, Iraq DID have WMD back then!!! And we were insane not to believe that he–ahemmm–MOVED THEM!!!!!
