Nigeria: Suspected Islamists Slaughter Dozens Of Christians In Plateau State

Morning Star News – “Gunmen killed six Christians in an early morning attack yesterday on Dinu village in southern Plateau state, a month after  Muslim Fulani herdsmen shot a Christian to death in a nearby village, Christian leaders said.

The identities of the gunmen and the victims were not immediately known, though the Rev. Johnson Kikem, chairman of a nearby Regional Church Council of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), reported that church members who fled the village in Wase Local Government Area said the assailants were Muslims.

‘Some of our church members there who escaped from the village and ran to us here in Langtang brought the news of the attack,’ Kikem said. ‘We have been told that six of our members have been killed.’

On June 18, ethnic Fulani Muslims killed Toma Vongjen, 40, in a village in Bakin Rijiya of the Wase area, 216 kilometers (134 miles) southeast of Jos in Plateau state, and left church buildings in four villages in ruins (see Morning Star News, June 21).

Fulani Muslims have long fought over property with Christians of other ethnicities, and Islamic extremist groups are suspected of inflaming the herdsmen’s anti-Christian sentiment. The Fulani herdsmen and the predominantly Christian, ethnic Tarok farmers have accused each other of castle-rustling and retaliatory violence in recent months...

In Langtang Local Government Area 30 kilometers (19 miles) from Wase, however, more than 30 Christian men, women and children were slain in three villages in southern Plateau state on June 27 by suspected Islamic extremists from outside of Nigeria, authorities said.

Initially a Muslim spokesman for the military’s Special Task Force (STF), Capt. Salisu Mustapha, said the Christian residents of Magama, Bolgong and Karkashi were attacked by Fulani herdsmen in apparent retaliation for cattle theft. The extent of the massacre and the STF’s firestorm response – killing 20 of the assailants in gun battles, and tracking down and killing another 100 – indicated the attacks resulted from more than tribal conflict, and a week later a more authoritative STF officer denied the attack grew out of ethnic tensions.

‘This is not a case of ethnic crisis between [Muslim] Fulani and [Christian] Tarok, it was a case where some gunmen came to attack residents of three communities of Langtang South Local Government,’ Maj. Gen. Henry Ayoola, commander of the STF in Plateau state, told reporters in Jos on July 3. ‘We found that most of the attackers were not even Nigerians; also, many of them wore talismans and all manners of things over their bodies.'” Read more.

Indonesia: Increasing Intolerance Against Christians Force The Closure Of 17 More House Churches

Within a year, with non-existent legal pretexts, 17 house churches have been closed: these also include Catholic chapels. Indonesia is the most populous Muslim nation in the world and, while guaranteeing the constitutional principles of religious freedom, it is more and more often the scene of attacks and violence against minorities, whether they are Christians, Ahmadi Muslims or of other faiths. In the province of Aceh – the only one in the Archipelago – the Islamic law (sharia) applies and in many other areas the influence of the Muslim religion in the lives of citizens is becoming more radical and extreme. In addition, certain rules such as the building permit – the infamous IMB – are exploited to prevent the building or close Christian places of worship, as is the case for some time in Bogor regency, West Java, for the faithful of the Yasmin Church .

Behind this upsurge is the current governor of Aceh, Zaini Abdullah, who has spent years in exile in Sweden for his activities within the Free Aceh Movement (GAM). Germany: Muslims Riot In Hamburg, Police Blame Failed Immigration Policies And Ask Politicians To ‘Finally Wake Up’

Bild.de (Translation) – “Hamburg – Riots have occurred three nights in a row in Hamburg-Altona and a mob have attacked police officers. Now, officials and local residents want to search together for long-term solutions.

In the riots that started Thursday night motorists were blinded with a laser pointer by a group of young people. The police moved in and suddenly faced an onslaught of 150 people. 16 Rioters are now in custody.

Three cars were burned a night later. 150 Rioters had banded together and threw stones on the 100 emergency personnel. A man (21) was arrested. Sunday night rioters set fire to a few firecrackers at once – more fortunately did not happen.

Now the district head of the relevant station in Hamburg-Altona and the fathers of responsible young people want to sit together at a ’round table’. ‘We want to come together Monday and calmly talk to each other,’ said a police spokesman.

For the Gewerkschaft der Polizei (GdP) [police union], the behavior of young people with a migration background is an alarm signal for a ‘failed integration policy’. Hurriyet Daily News – “A recent Turkish Red Crescent initiate is set to be turned into a factory-supported production process, making medicine out of Turkish people’s blood in order to rule out any risk of non-Islamic dietary impact, according to the organization’s head, Ahmet Lütfi Akar.

Akar told daily Hurriyet that the move could both eliminate dependence on drugs imports, as well as providing Muslim Turks with assurances that their medicine complies with their religious codes.

‘For instance, if we are buying medicine from Britain, it is made out of the blood and plasma of the blood of the people of that country. We have different dietary habits from those countries. Being a Muslim nation, we do not eat pork. We don’t eat some of problematic foods, but these exist in the medicine that we import,’ he said.

Akar said treatment through one’s own national production would be healthier. ‘We will eliminate imports, and create an opportunity to export to Islamic countries. There will be no change in the regulation of receiving blood donations; no one will be asked whether or not they eat pork. 95 percent of Turkish people already don’t eat port anyway,’ he told daily Hurriyet.

Meetings with the Health Ministry have already taken place and the project is also supported by the prime minister, he said, adding that further details would be announced in detail in a month or so.

Turkish Medical Association head Özdemir Aktan, however, ruled out any chance of his association offering scientific facts to support the Red Crescent’s point.

Finland: Muslim Men Sneak Into Country, Ask Passers-By If They Are Finns Only To Attack Them If They Answer ‘Yes’

The men asked two passing women and a man if they were Finns. When the answer was yes, they attacked the three – this was a racist act according to the Helsinki District Court which sentenced the men to six months’ imprisonment suspended and damages and fines.

One man, in his 40s, was found guilty of four counts of assault (one of the victims was beaten twice), defamation, theft, an immigration violation and obstruction of an official. The other, in his 30s, was found guilty of petty assault, theft, an immigration violation and obstruction of an official.
