Syrian Christians: ‘Why Is America At War With Us?’

Because America is now an Obama Nation

CBN News – “Syrian Christians are asking why the United States supports extremists who want to turn Syria into an Islamic state.

That testimony came during a congressional hearing on Syria’s religious minorities Tuesday.

Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., who chairs the House Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health and Human Rights, called on President Barack Obama to defend the rights of Syrian Christians.

In an opening statement at Tuesday’s hearing, Smith said statistics show ‘that Christians are even more fearful for their lives and safety than other segments of the Syrian population.’

Nina Shea, director of the Hudson Institute’s Center for Religious Freedom, testified that Islamic insurgents are targeting Christians for ‘ethno-religious cleansing.’

Christian Solidarity International CEO Dr. John Eibner, who also testified at the hearing, said displaced Christians are asking him, ‘Why is the U.S. at war against us?'” Read more.

Syria: Islamic Militants Behead Christians In Front Of Cheering Crowd – “Two Christians, one of them a priest, have been beheaded by militants because they were suspected of cooperating with the Syrian military, according to an Al-Alam report. A video uploaded to the internet yesterday shows two men with their hands bound, surrounded by dozens of people, many of them armed and cheering in celebration.” Read more.

Egypt’s Military Issues Ultimatum To Morsi: You Have 48 Hours To ‘Meet The People’s Demands’, Or We Step In

Be sure to read the three Flashbacks following the excerpt below. This is a very tense situation. If the military decides to move against the Muslim Brotherhood’s Islamist President, an Islamist-vs-Opposition civil war may indeed be inevitable. To the Islamists, however, they will view it as a war against Islam and Christians will undoubtedly be the ones who will end up paying the ultimate price. Be sure to pay close attention to see what stance Turkey decides to take, or even make, as the sea and the waves continue to roar both home and abroad …

Update: The Muslim Brotherhood has rejected the army’s ultimatum

Matthew 24:6, “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”

By HAMZA HENDAWI and SARAH EL DEEB, The Times of Israel – “CAIRO (AP) — Hundreds of thousands of Egpyitan protesters massed for a second day on Monday calling on Mohammed Morsi to step down. Meanwhile, Egypt’s powerful military warned it will intervene if the Islamist president doesn’t ‘meet the people’s demands,’ giving him and his opponents two days to reach an agreement in what it called a last chance.

Military helicopters, some dangling Egyptian flags, swooped over Cairo’s Tahrir Square where many broke into cheers with the army’s announcement, read on state television. The statement seemed to fuel the flow of crowds into city squares around the country where protesters chanted and sang.

‘Come out, el-Sissi. The people want to topple the regime,’ protesters in the Nile Delta city of Mahalla el-Kubra chanted, urging military chief Gen. Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi to intervene.

The military’s statement puts enormous pressure on Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood. So far, the president has vowed he will remain in his position, but the opposition and crowds in the street — who numbered in the millions nationwide on Sunday — have made clear they will accept nothing less than his departure and a transition to early presidential elections.

That makes action by the generals when the deadline runs out nearly inevitable, since a deal seems unlikely. The statement did not define the ‘people’s demands’ that must be met. But it strongly suggested that Sunday’s gigantic rallies expressed the desire of Egyptians, raising the likelihood it would insist on Morsi’s departure.

An army move against Morsi, however, risks a backlash from his Islamist supporters, who include hard-line former militants.” Read more.

Flashback: Turkish PM Greeted by Cheering Crowds in Cairo, Banners Proclaiming ‘Egypt And Turkey Will Together Become An Islamic Caliphate’ – “Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan continued to make threats against Israel on his arrival in Cairo last night, resulting in a rapturous reception by the crowds. He was surrounded by Egyptian supporters after disembarking from his plane at the airport. Using a prepared amplifier system, Erdoğan spoke to the crowd in Arabic, saying, ‘Salaam aleikum, Egypt and Turkey are one. Peace to the Egyptian people.’ … The welcoming crowd included many members of the Muslim Brotherhood, which supports Hamas. Supporters along the road into Cairo carried Erdoğan’s picture and shouted, ‘Egypt and Turkey will together become an Islamic Caliphate’” Read more.

Flashback: Walid Shoebat: Egypt Will End Up In Civil War, Christians Will Be Slaughtered, Turkey Will Take Over – “As we predicted several years ago, Egypt has fallen. We stated that Egypt will end up in civil war between secularists and Salafists / Muslim Brotherhood with the Christians of Egypt slaughtered in the process. All this is spelled out in Isaiah 19. Egypt – in the coming years – will be weakened to the point that the Turks (Iron) will take over the weakened clay nations of Egypt, Tunisia and Libya(Daniel 11:42). These just opted for the fad of Sharia over western secularism exactly as we stated long ago… We have said for years that the Ottoman Empire will be revived. Lo and behold, here we are… A Caliphate will arise out of Turkey and the Gog of Turkey will portray himself as the re-incarnation of Muhammad, Saladin and the Ottoman Sulaiman Al-Qanuni …” Read more.

Flashback: Syria: Turkey’s Erdogan Thinks He Is The New Sultan Of The Ottoman Empire, ‘In His Heart He Thinks He Is A Caliph’ – “Erdogan thinks that if Muslim Brotherhood takes over in the region and especially in Syria, he can guarantee his political future, this is one reason. The other reason, he personally thinks that he is the new sultan of the Ottoman and he can control the region as it was during the Ottoman Empire under a new umbrella. In his heart he thinks he is a caliph. These are the main two reasons for him to shift his policy from zero problems to zero friends.” Read more.

Outrageous Avatar Of US Embassy Riyadh Twitter Account

Revelation 18:3, “For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries …”

Or, in our Western vernacular, they are drinking the Islamist kool-aid. But all for peaceful purposes, of course …

By Weasel Zippers – “Is this administration so under the sway of the Saudis that we have our Embassies using their flags on our twitter accounts, and putting their flag on equal level with our flag, a complete and utter violation of U.S. flag protocol? Not to mention the sword positioned with point toward the flag and any other symbolism in the Saudi flag, apparently being endorsed.

We had Embassy officials in Cairo that apologize for being attacked, and don’t answer information on dead Americans after 10 p.m..

Now we have this Embassy account debasing us still further? Take it down!” Source – Weasel Zippers.

Hollywood’s Islam-Free Terrorism, ‘America Is Paralyzed By Navel-Gazing, Hand-Wringing, Moral Confusion’

07/01/2013 Leave a comment

Although I’ve enjoyed some of the films referred to below, the author does make a valid point. Creating a world where terrorism exists apart from Islam is like making an omlette without the egg. Yes, you can do it, but it’ll never be real …

By Mark Tapson, Frontpage Mag – “The Los Angeles Times reported Friday that terrorism is making a comeback in Hollywood films after a dozen post-9/11 years in which they shied away from dealing with a topic that studios deemed too sensitive. The report credits this new trend to filmmakers attempting to bring to their fictional films some ‘real-world relevance.’ There’s just one problem: Hollywood’s terrorism is still devoid of real-world terrorists.

The Times article points out that the filmmakers of several of the summer’s blockbusters feel safe again to depict acts of terrorism: ‘collapsing skyscrapers, spaceships flying into densely populated cities and bombers run amok… With the terror attacks more than a decade in the past, they say they no longer have to worry about alienating audiences.’

First of all, terror attacks are not ‘more than a decade in the past.’ Sure, they aren’t on the scale of 9/11, but America has continued to endure attempted and successful terror attacks since then, all the way up to the recent Boston bombing. As for alienating audiences, did it ever occur to those filmmakers that movies in which America proudly and unapologetically kicked Islamic terrorist butt might provide audiences with that tremendous collective catharsis that Aristotle noted was the aim of good drama? That movies which affirmed our freedoms and our superior cultural values – that’s right, I said superior –might have united, inspired and empowered those audiences? That such movies might have sent a message to the world that we are unbowed by barbarism?

Instead, when Hollywood did address the clash of civilizations in those post-9/11 years, it pumped out movies disapproving of the CIA and/or the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Every one of them reeked with the message of moral equivalence that we’re no better than the terrorists. Every one depicted our soldiers as PTSD-ravaged. Every one condemned our presence in Iraq as a Bush lie. And every one of those films about our clash of civilizations bombed, if you’ll pardon the pun, including SyrianaThe Green ZoneStop-LossIn the Valley of ElahRedactedBrothersLions for Lambs,RenditionThe KingdomBody of Lies, and more. Why did they bomb? Because Americans don’t want to see movies loaded with those defeatist, self-flagellating messages. So Hollywood ended up alienating those audiences anyway.

‘[Y]ou write about the times you live in,’ said James Vanderbilt, screenwriter of White House Down, about an aspiring Secret Service agent protecting the president when the White House is taken over by – wait for it – domestic terrorists. ‘I was always fascinated with the idea of how you could take over the country — who would be able to do that,’ said Vanderbilt.

I have a suggestion: if he wants to write about the times we live in, why not address credible, real-world enemies like Iran, Hezbollah, or al Qaeda and ‘its affiliates’ (as President Obama calls them)? If he wants to imagine who could take over the White House, how about the Muslim Brotherhood, who traffic in and out of the White House now like it’s Grand Central Station? But he won’t because the truth is, too many in Hollywood are multiculturalist cowards who have already chosen to submit to Islam.

The latest Star Trek sequel is ‘about terrorism,’ says the actor who plays Capt. Kirk, ‘about issues we as human beings in 2013 deal with every day, about the exploitation of fear to take advantage of a population, about physical violence and destruction but also psychological manipulation.’ And yet the actor doesn’t explicitly make the obvious connection to those threats from Islamic fundamentalists. (In fact, nowhere in the Times article do the words ‘Islam’ and ‘Muslim’ appear in any form.)

Nor does Shane Black, director and co-writer of Iron Man 3, whose ‘ultimate terrorist’ called ‘The Mandarin’ ‘has this driving hatred for America which fuels his rhetoric with which he recruits these legions of followers.’ Sounds like a clear stand-in for bin Laden or any number of Islamic terrorist leaders. And yet Black takes the safe route and makes his ultimate villain a vague fantasy figure.

Saudi Arabia: Women Banned From ‘Women In Society’ Conference

07/01/2013 1 comment

It would have been an un-Islamic waste of time to allow women to attend and permit them to speak their deficient minds …

Hadith, Bukhari 6:301, “[Muhammad] said, ‘Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?’ They replied in the affirmative. He said, ‘This is the deficiency in her intelligence.’”

Qur’an Sura 4:34a, “Men have authority over women because [Allah] has made the one superior to the other …”

Hadith, Sahih AlBukhari 5196, “[Muhammad said] When I stood on the door of hell, I saw most of its inhabitants were women”

Irony: Every Man Who Attended Wore a Dress

By SARA MALM, Mail Online – “This image show attendees at a conference in Saudi Arabia on the topic ‘women in society’ – and not a single one is female.

The conference, reportedly held at the University of Qassim last year, was attended by representatives from 15 nations, apparently all men.

The seats in the hall are filled with men in traditional Arab dress apart from one wearing a blue chequered shirt.

The photograph was published in a Saudi newspaper last year, and has since been making the rounds on social networks.

Twitter users have branded the image ‘absurd’, ‘the height of misogyny’ and ‘astonishing’ as the internet responded to what is only the latest proof of the gender gap in the Middle-Eastern nation.

Segregation between men and women in the oil rich country is widespread due to the ultra-conservative Wahhabi sharia law.

Restrictions mean they are not allowed to drive, they must use separate entrances at banks and offices, and a plan to build a city for female workers only has been announced.

They also need permission from a male relative or their husband to work, travel, study or marry and a woman’s testimony counts for less than that of a man in a court of law.” Read more.

Flashback: Saudi Cleric: Giving Women Equal Rights Sends Shivers Down Your Spine And Makes Your Hair Stand On End – “[The UN’s Convention on Elimination of Discrimination Against Women] means the elimination of all types of discrimination against women. In other words, it means complete and total equality between men and women. Allah says: ‘And the male is not like the female.’ The danger in this agreement lies in its being an international agreement. That means, according to the tyrannical international law, that it supercedes all local constitutions… Reading the articles of this agreement, dear brothers, sends shivers down your spine, and makes your hair stand on end, due to its hideous nature … Anyone contemplating this agreement knows full well that this is World War III … Anyone who reads this sinful, infidel CEDAW agreement will see clearly that whoever promoted this agreement, followed it, or helped it come into being has renounced Islam and declared war against Allah and his shari’a.” Read more.

Egyptian Against Egyptian: At Least 10 Killed as MILLIONS Across Country Demand President Morsi Step Down

07/01/2013 Leave a comment

The opposition is ready to show the Islamists that they mean business. But so do the Islamists. If neither side gives in, this will not end well any time soon …

Isaiah 19:2, “I will set Egyptians against Egyptians; Everyone will fight against his brother, And everyone against his neighbor, City against city, kingdom against kingdom …”

By HAMZA HENDAWI and MAGGIE MICHAEL and SARAH EL DEEB, The Times of Israel – “CAIRO (AP) — Millions of Egyptians thronged the streets of Cairo and cities around the country Sunday and marched on the presidential palace, filling a broad avenue for blocks, in an attempt to force out the Islamist president with the most massive protests Egypt has seen in 2½ years of turmoil.

In a sign of the explosive volatility of the country’s divisions, a hard core of young opponents broke away from the rallies and attacked the main headquarters of President Mohammed Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood, pelting it with stones and firebombs until a raging fire erupted in the walled villa. During clashes, Brotherhood supporters opened fire on the attackers, and activists said three protesters were killed.

Several news reports put the number of protesters in Cairo’s Tahrir square with over a million, with large numbers in other Egyptian cities. Demonstrators say they are angered over the country’s flailing economy and Islamist domination in the halls of power.

Fears were widespread that the two sides could be heading to a violent collision in coming days. Morsi made clear through a spokesman that he would not step down and his Islamist supporters vowed not to allow protesters to remove one of their own, brought to office in a legitimate vote. Thousands of Islamists massed not far from the presidential palace in support of Morsi, some of them prepared for a fight with makeshift armor and sticks.

At least five anti-Morsi protesters were killed Sunday in clashes and shootings in southern Egypt.

The protesters aimed to show by sheer numbers that the country has irrevocably turned against Morsi, a year to the day after he was inaugurated as Egypt’s first freely elected president. But throughout the day and even up to midnight at the main rallying sites, fears of rampant violence did not materialize.

Instead the mood was largely festive as protesters at giant anti-Morsi rallies in Cairo’s central Tahrir Square and outside the Ittihadiya palace spilled into side streets and across boulevards, waving flags, blowing whistles and chanting.

Fireworks went off overhead. Men and women, some with small children on their shoulders, beat drums, danced and sang, ‘By hook or by crook, we will bring Morsi down.’ Residents in nearby homes showered water on marchers below — some carrying tents in preparation to camp outside the palace — to cool them in the summer heat, and blew whistles and waved flags in support.

‘[Then-president Hosni] Mubarak took only 18 days although he had behind him the security, intelligence and a large sector of Egyptians,’ said Amr Tawfeeq, an oil company employee marching toward Ittihadiya with a Christian friend. Morsi ‘won’t take long. We want him out and we are ready to pay the price.'” Read more.
