Muslim Persecution Of Christians: October, 2012
Matthew 10:22, “And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.”
By Raymond Ibrahim, Gatestone Institute – “These reports of the persecution of Christians by Muslims around the world during the month of October include (but are not limited to) the following accounts, listed by form of persecution, and by country, in alphabetical order—not according to severity.
Church Attacks
Canada: As happens regularly in Egypt (see below), a Molotov cocktail was hurled through the window of a newly opened Coptic church near Toronto. Unlike in Egypt, however, firefighters came quickly and little damage was done: ‘Police have no suspects or motive in the incident.’
Egypt: A Muslim mob, consisting mostly of Salafis, surrounded St. George Church in the Beni Suef Governorate. Armed with batons, they assaulted Christians as they exited the church after Sunday mass; five were hospitalized with broken limbs. The Salafi grievance is that Christians from neighboring villages, who have no churches to serve them, are traveling and attending St. George. The priest could not leave the church for hours after the mass, even though he contacted the police; they came only after a prominent Coptic lawyer complained to the Ministry of the Interior concerning the lack of response from police. ‘I want the whole world to know,’ he said, ‘that a priest and his congregation are presently held captive in their church, afraid of the Salafi Muslims surrounding the church.’ Separately, a group of Muslims, led by Mostafa Kamel, a prosecutor at the Alexandria Criminal Court, broke into the Church of St. Mary in Rashid near Alexandria and proceeded to destroy its altar, on claims that he bought the 9th century church; in fact it had earlier been sold to the Copts by the Greeks, due to the Greeks’ dwindling numbers in Egypt. Two priests, Fr. Maximos and Fr. Luke, rushed to the police station to try to bring the police to help. Kamel and his two sons also came to the police station, where they openly threatened to kill the two priests and their lawyer. ‘We stayed at the police station for over six hours with the police,’ Fr. Maximos said, ‘begging prosecutor Kamel and his two sons not to demolish the church.’ Fr. Luke said that the prosecutor had so far lost all the cases he brought against the church, ‘So when this route failed, he tried taking the matter into his own hands.’
Indonesia: On a Sunday, ‘unknown assailants’ set fire to the Madele Pentecostal Church in the city of Poso by dousing a collection box with petrol and setting it alight. Flames eventually spread to the pastor’s residence. Only the intervention of the fire department and volunteers prevented the blaze from causing major damage to the two buildings. Weeks earlier in the same region, Christian homes were attacked and bombed. Also, two law enforcement agents who were investigating a recent attack on the Christian community were kidnapped; their murdered bodies were later found dumped near an ‘extremist Muslim’ group’s training ground. Because Poso has a large Christian presence, Muslim attacks are frequent, including the Read more…
Video: This Is How Democracy Is Dying In Europe
By the time Western leaders wake up to the truth, it will already be too late. Because it already is …
Revelation 17:5, 18a, “And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH … For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her …”

The man shouting is right in thinking it is. Yet, he is told to shut up.
To say there is a leadership vacuum in Western civilization today is a gross understatement and the reason is cowardice. It’s really no more complicated than that.” Source – Shoebat Foundation.

Flashback: Belgium: Authorities Cope To Struggle With Muslim Crime Wave – “New Europe reported a recent incident that occurred on the streets of Brussels which raised questions as to the true integration of the Muslim population in an already divded country. Crime in EU’s capital has been growing as well as minority popoulation. Integration of Muslims into Belgium culture has been extremely difficult. With a rapidly growing population, the capital of Belgium – and of the EU – is already one of the most multicultural in Europe. Muslims are already a majority in some neighborhoods.” Read more.
Sick Exploitation of Children: Gun-Toting Syrian Toddlers Establish Rebels’ ‘Children’s Brigade’
These young ones should be playing with toy trucks and learning the alphabet, not brandishing AK-47s and waging war in the name of a war-hungry Babylonian god …
Luke 17:1-2, “Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones [children] to sin.’”

Syrian Islamist Rebels To Christians: Prepare To Die If You Refuse To Convert To Islam Or Pay The ‘Jizyah’
Am I hearing an echo? The words of these Islamist rebels in Syria sound an awful lot like the words of Egypt’s Islamist President, the Muslim Brotherhood’s own Mohammed Morsi …
By Tim Marshall, Sky News – “To the soundtrack of multiple rocket launchers and small arms fire, I met six men who the Syrian authorities told us were jihadist rebel fighters captured by the army.
We were in a Ministry of Interior prison near Damascus in an area now close to the front lines.
The men, four Syrian, an Iraqi, and a Turk, said they had indeed been in the jihadist movement fighting President Assad’s forces, but now renounced the armed struggle even though they continued to espouse Salafist ideology. All are awaiting court appearances…
The Syrian authorities are keen to promote the view that they are fighting an al Qaeda type force which partially explains why, after much pushing, we were allowed rare access into the jail.
Mahmoud al Ahab, who described himself as a Palestinian Syrian, told me he was in the al Nusra Front which he said was an al Qaeda group. He had sworn an oath of allegiance to al Nursa but now felt this was a mistake.
Ahmed al Rabido, a 48-year-old Syrian, said he was a religious leader, a Mufti, in the Free Syrian Army.
‘I joined because I wanted to demolish the secular state… I don’t believe in this anymore because the country is being ruined,’ he said…
This led to a question about the future of Syria’s minorities such as the Christians. Ahmed, Basah, and Hamid Hassan all agreed – Christians could only live there if they either converted, or paid the ‘Jizyah’ – a special tax levied on non-Muslims in previous centuries in the Middle East. If not said Bahar, they could be killed.
When asked why, the answer was, to them, quite simple – because the Prophet Mohammed said so. I was then invited to become a Muslim.
The conversation verged on the surreal. There we were talking in a quite friendly manner, with the occasional joke, about killing people because they wouldn’t pay the Jizyah, which critics regard as effectively obtaining money through menaces.
The interview ended with Ahmed volunteering that eventually Muslims must reclaim Andalucia in Spain for the Islamic Caliphate.” Read more.

Oh My Sole: Swedish Ambassador To Iran Crosses Legs, Deeply Offends Sensitive Ahmadinejad
The inhumanity! If the bottom of the Swedish Ambassador’s foot can cut a deeply emotional wound through the fragile heart of the Iranian President, I could only imagine how insulted Ahmadinejad will feel when he suddenly finds himself the footstool of the Jewish Messiah. Perhaps there’s more to the inspired words of David than we think …
Psalm 110:1, “A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.'”
By Dudi Cohen, ynet – “Swedish Ambassador to Iran Peter Tejler nearly caused a diplomatic incident between Stockholm and Tehran last week, when he presented his letter of accreditation to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. His offense: Exposing the sole of his shoe.
The event, which is a routine diplomatic procedure, was proceeding according to plan until, as the two were seated, the ambassador decided to cross his legs. The act seemed to have insulted the Iranian president, causing him to flash the ambassador a retaliatory leg-crossing himself.
The incident did not go unnoticed by local media. ‘The ambassador’s actions are undiplomatic and impolite,’ an Iranian website reported, adding that ‘Such behavior deviates from diplomatic and international norms.’
The incident occurred last Monday at the Iranian president’s Teheran office, when the Swedish ambassador placed his right leg over his left, revealing the sole of his right shoe.
In Islam, shoes, and especially their soles, are considered impure and even profane. Exposing one’s shoes or their soles before a high-ranking official is considered a great insult.” Read more.
Lebanon: Four Killed In Tripoli Fighting Between Gunmen Loyal To Opposing Sides In Syria Civil War
BEIRUT – Lebanon’s official news agency says four people have been killed in fighting in the Lebanese city of Tripoli between gunmen loyal to opposite sides in Syria’s civil war.
The state-run National News Agency says 12 others were wounded in the clashes Sunday. Tripoli has been the scene of frequent sectarian clashes during the Syria civil war.
The fighting has sometimes spilled across Syria’s borders, raising concerns of a regional war.
Last week the Lebanese army sent additional troops to Tripoli to try to prevent clashes that followed reports of 17 Lebanese men killed after entering Syria to fight alongside the mostly Sunni rebels. The Syrian rebels are trying to topple President Bashar Assad, whose regime is dominated by Alawites, an offshoot Shiite group.
Tripoli has sizeable Sunni and Alawite communities.” Source – Montreal Gazette.
Flashback: Hezbollah Considering Military Coup If Assad Falls – “Hezbollah’s leadership is considering the possibility of taking control of Beirut and effectively carrying out a military coup in Lebanon should the current Syrian regime fall, the al-Arabia network reported Tuesday. According to the report, Hezbollah members have expressed concerns over the escalation of the civil uprising in Syria, which could lead to the fall of Bashar Assad’s regime. The Syrian president is an ally of the Lebanese Shiite group. Sources close to Hezbollah noted that it was due to those concerns that the Hezbollah leadership was examining various scenarios – including a ‘broad maneuver on the ground,’ similar to the takeover of Beirut in May 2008. However, the current plans apparently include a much more extensive maneuver which may expand to a military coup. ‘As soon as Hezbollah will sense that the collapse of Assad’s regime is imminent, armed cells will quickly begin operating to seize control of Beirut’s eastern and western parts,’ one of the sources told al-Arabia.”Read more.
‘Too Little, Too Late’: Egypt’s Morsi Steps Back Presidential Decree, Forges Ahead With Islamist Constitution Referendum
By Chana Ya’ar, INN – “Too little, too late: Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi backed down on Saturday and annulled a controversial decree raising his authority above that of the judiciary, but demonstrators are threatening to continue their protests. Security forces have moved into place, and it appears that more clashes between rulers and ruled in Cairo are likely, despite similar scenes barely two years ago.
The decree, issued last month, enraged the populace and prompted judges and prosecutors to strike for days. Cairo’s iconic Tahrir Square, where Egypt’s January 25 Revolution swelled in 2011 to topple former President Hosni Mubarak from his decades-long regime, again was packed with protesters who clashed with police for days.
But Morsi’s decision to reverse the decree, reached over the weekend, wasn’t enough, offering ‘nothing new’ and appearing to be ‘an attempt to dodge’ opposition demands,’ Popular Current spokeswoman Heba Yassin told Bloomberg News.
The groundswell of roaring opposition that grew over the past month vowed to keep up the pressure against a draft Constitution Morsi had also rammed through.
‘We have broken the barrier of fear,’ tweeted Mohamed ElBaradei, newly elected opposition leader and Nobel Peace Prize laureate on his account on the Twitter social networking website. ‘A constitution that aborts our rights and freedoms is a constitution that we will topple today.’
The draft document, written by an Islamist committee, allegedly infringes on general freedoms, and fails to protect the rights of women and minorities. The National Assembly committee that authored the draft was boycotted by secular, liberal and Coptic Christian lawmakers.” Read more.
More Egypt Protests Called After Morsi Cancellation Falls Short – “Egypt’s liberal opposition has called for more protests on Sunday after the president made concessions overnight that fell short of their demands to rescind a draft constitution going to a referendum on Dec. 15. Morsi met one of the opposition’s demands overnight, rescinding his Nov. 22 decrees that gave him near unrestricted powers. But he insisted on going ahead with the referendum on a constitution adopted by his Islamist allies. The opposition National Salvation Front called on supporters to rally Sunday against the referendum.” Source – Breitbart.
