India: Christian Pastor Talks To Muslims About Christ, Islamists Severely Beat Pastor, Attempt To Destroy Churches
AsiaNews – “Mumbai (AsiaNews) – This year, 39 attacks were perpetrated against the Christian community in Karnataka, this according to the Global Council of Indian Christians (GCICI), the latest reported last Friday in two separate locations in the state. In Bellary District, Muslim fundamentalists attacked an Anglican clergyman and tried to destroy Christian churches and Christian-run facilities. In Kolar District, Hindu nationalists from the Bajrang Dal disrupted the ceremony consecrating a Pentecostal church. In both cases, GCIC President Sajan George noted, ‘fears in Karnataka have been reignited in the hearts of Christians.’
In Hospet (Bellary District), a Muslim mob attacked Rev Lewis Mascarenhas, a pastor in the (Anglican) Church of South India (CSI), and badly beat him because he had visited some Muslims who had asked him to talk about Jesus and Christianity. After he arrived, another group of Muslims came and beat him up.
Soon after, they dragged the bleeding clergyman to a nearby police station accusing of conducting forced conversions. Police eventually took the reverend to B.C. Acharya Hospital but kept him in their custody.
Meanwhile, other Muslims attacked churches and Christian facilities in Hospet, bent on destroying them. Warned, police moved in quickly to protect the buildings to avoid further attacks.” Read more.

It is stories like the current one that make moderate Muslims cringe. How do you explain Islam as a religion of peace when one of its learned ones, Dr. Abdullah Badr, professor of Islamic exegesis, proclaimed that
… there will be absolutely no more toleration for anyone who speaks against Islam…
Dr. Badr is a graduate of Al Anzar University, founded in 970 AD in Cairo, Egypt, and considered the “chief centre of Arabic literature and Islamic learning in the world, and the oldest degree-granting university in Egypt. Dr Badr is “currently on trial for libel and defamation of female Egyptian artist Elham Shahin—whom, among many other derogatory statements, he called a “whore.”” Dr Badr is also a Salafi Islamist, a strict sect of Sunni Islam that happens to control the Egyptian parliament along with the majority party, the Muslim Brotherhood.

It seems that modern technologies are able to bring us example after example of Islam’s real root — violence, not peace. Whether the issue is the burning of the Qur’an, the mocking of Muhammad, or the “mocking of the Sharia, Islam” or even if one, dare say it, “blames” Islam, he or she is worthy of either death or having their tongue cut out.
Why should this concern us since Egypt is on the other side of the world? Because the Bible prophesies that a false religion will one day have dominion over the entire world. Revelation 13:7-8 (NASB). This writer (and many others) interprets that false religion to be Islam.

Tourists In Australia Flee As Bondi Beach Turns Blood Red
By Daniel Miller and Richard Shears, Mail Online – “Tourists heading for world-famous Bondi Beach were left high and dry today after a rare natural phenomenon turned the water blood red.
Bondi was among several popular beaches in and around Sydney, Australia, which had to be closed after a huge algae bloom transformed the sea into something resembling a scene from a Jaws movie.
But despite the warnings a number of intrepid beachgoers were seen venturing into the water and swimming through the red surface, Ten News Sydney reported.
The natural phenomenon is caused when algae, a plant-like organism flourishes and large groups of the miniscule plants, which can appear in various colours, gather together often with spectacular results.
Known as Nocturnal Scintillans or sea sparkle it has no toxic effects but people are still advised to avoid swimming in areas with discoloured water because the algae, which can be high in ammonia, can cause skin irritation.
British tourists were among large groups of visitors who were told by lifeguards not to enter the water until the all-clear was given because the algae can irritate the skin and cause other health problems.
Ken Roberts, 23, from Birmingham, England said: ‘Perhaps I’m just in the wrong country – I thought the Red Sea was somewhere in Asia.’
Local lifeguard Bruce Hopkins said: ‘It has quite a fishy smell to it.
‘It makes the water look like it has a coating of tomato-sauce coloured oil.’” Read more.
