Palestinian Official: Jesus Was The First Palestinian And The First Islamic Martyr In History

11/11/2012 2 comments

Here’s more of that rewriting history again. Looks like this Palestinian official forgot to read the memo: The Palestinian people are a recent invention that did not “exist” until the 20th century (and their religion wasn’t formed until the 7th) …

Issa Karake, PA Minister of Prisoners: “We are standing at Jesus’ Plaza, in front of the Church of the Nativity, [to convey] to those who uphold human rights: Take action before it is too late, take action to save [the Palestinian prisoners] the sons of Nativity, the sons of Jerusalem, and the sons of Jesus, the Palestinian, the first prisoner and the first Islamic martyr (Shahid) in history.”

Flashback: PLO Executive Committee Member Zahir Muhsein (1977): ‘The Palestinian People Does Not Exist’ – “Way back on March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview with Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. Here’s what he said: ‘The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.’” Read more.

Strong 6.5 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Off Guatemala’s Coast, People Flee Buildings And Homes In Panic

11/11/2012 Leave a comment

CTV News, AP – “GUATEMALA CITY — A 6.5-magnitude earthquake shook Guatemala’s Pacific coastline on Sunday, four days after a major quake killed dozens in the Central American country.

People fled buildings and homes in panic in various cities along Guatemala’s Pacific coast near its border with Mexico on Sunday, but there were no immediate reports of deaths or major damage.

Eddy Sanchez, director of Guatemala’s National Institute of Seismology, Vulcanology and Hydrology, urged residents to avoid returning to buildings and homes with structural damage from the last quake.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake’s epicenter was 30 kilometres west-southwest of Champerico, Guatemala, and 185 kilometres southwest of Guatemala City. It had a depth of 27 kilometres and was centred off the country’s coast.

Seismologists say it was the strongest aftershock yet from a 7.4-magnitude earthquake that killed 52 people in western Guatemala on Wednesday.

That quake, the country’s strongest in 36 years, left thousands of people without homes, electricity or water; and emotionally devastated one small town by wiping out almost an entire family.

It was felt as far as Mexico City. It affected as many as 1.2 million Guatemalans and was followed by 70 aftershocks in the first 24 hours.” Read more.

‘This Has To Stop’: Gaza Savages Timed Their Rockets To Kill Israeli Children Walking Home From School

11/11/2012 Leave a comment

These are the type of terrorists that the world wants Israel to negotiate peace with. In reality, however, peace will not come when terrorism ends. Terrorism will end when Peace comes

Isaiah 48:22, “‘There is no peace,’ says the LORD, ‘for the wicked.’”

2 Thessalonians 2:8, “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming”

Micah 5:5a, “This One will be our peace …”

By Gil Ronen, INN – “A direct strike on a home in Sderot was reported after 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening, as Gaza terrorists continued to fire a barrage of missiles at Israeli civilian men, women and children.

Initial reports said no one was injured despite the direct hit.

Many of the rockets fired Sunday were timed for the end of the school day, in order to try and kill or maim children. More than 100 rockets were fired during the day.

A Be’er Sheva resident named Barbara told Arutz Sheva: ‘They timed the attack at just the time all the kids got out of school…mine too!! First time I was ever close to hysterical was today.’

‘This has to stop,’ said Gershon, another resident of ‘the capital of the Negev.’

‘The rocket attack was at 13:58,’ he said, ‘when all the kids were walking home from school and I was on my way to pick up my daughter. The whole city should keep their children home until the rocket attacks stop.'” Source – INN.

He punished them by means of the Assyrians and the Babylonians. He punished them by means of the Companions of the Prophet in the Arabian Peninsula, at Al-Madina, and at Khaybar. He punished them by means of the Germans, and before that by means of the Romans. Today, it is the turn of the Islamic nation to punish them once again.”

Saudi Grand Mufti Issues Fatwa Against Foreign Media, Contact Would Be ‘Treason’ And Assisting ‘The Enemies Of Islam’

11/11/2012 1 comment

Apparently reality and difficult questions don’t mix well in the Islamic world …

By Katerina Nikolas, Digital Journal – “Riyad – The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia on Friday issued a religious edict prohibiting contact with foreign media, in order to protect the Kingdom’s security and religion.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Asheikh decreed that contacting foreign media outlets was ‘not permissible and is considered betrayal and assistance to the enemies of Islam’ and amounted to ‘treason and major crime’ Al Arabiya reported.

The Grand Mufti went on to say that foreign media seeks to ‘spread chaos and strife in Muslim lands’ and contact with them is a threat to Saudi security and religion.

As the highest religious authority in the Kingdom, the Grand Mufti’s words carry great weight in a country already deemed one of the most censored in the world. Following the wake of pro-democracy protests across North Africa and the Middle East, censorship in Saudi Arabia was tightened. According to CPJ ‘No foreign or local journalists are granted access to the Eastern Province, where protesters have been calling for political reforms and greater rights for the Shiite minority since February 2011.’ Additionally ‘international news outlets operating inside its borders limit their reporting in order to maintain accreditation.'” Read more.

Flashback: Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Calls for ‘Destruction of All Churches in Region’ – “According to several Arabic news sources, last Monday, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, declared that it is ‘necessary to destroy all the churches of the region.’ The Grand Mufti made his assertion in response to a question posed by a delegation from Kuwait, regarding the position of a Kuwaiti parliament member who recently called for the ‘removal’ of churches (he later ‘clarified’ by saying he merely meant that no churches should be built in Kuwait). The Kuwaiti delegation wanted to confirm Sharia’s position on churches. Accordingly, the Grand Mufti ‘stressed that Kuwait was a part of the Arabian Peninsula, and therefore it is necessary to destroy all churches in it.’” Read more.

Saudi Arabia: Well-Known Islamic Scholar Held For Torturing His 5-Year-Old Daughter To Death

Revolting. How any parent could do this to their own child is beyond comprehension. Did she not recite a passage of the Qur’an properly? Did she say that a boy was cute? Did she fail to pray regularly? …

Israel: Palestinians Fire More Than 100 Rockets Into Southern Israel

11/11/2012 1 comment

If Israel isn’t willing to remove Hamas completely from Gaza, then they need to retaliate with crushing force the likes of which will force Hamas to seriously think long and hard before another single rocket is fired into Israel …

By Yanir Yagna, Gili Cohen and Haaretz – “Egyptian intelligence officials have been mediating between Israel and Hamas in order to reach a cease-fire agreement that would put an end to the two-day cross-border escalation.

More than 100 rockets have hit southern Israel since violence flared up on the border on Saturday. The IDF has responded with nine separate air strikes, killing five Palestinians.

So far, no time has been set for the commencement of the cease-fire, but Haaretz has learned that both sides have said quiet will be answered with quiet.

Three people were lightly wounded in the Gaza envelope area on Sunday morning, when rockets exploded in the city of Sderot and in the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council. Gaza militants continued to fire missiles into the evening on Sunday, both in Sha’ar Hanegev and in Eshkol Regional Council.

On Sunday evening, a rocket hit a house in Sderot, causing damage but no casualties. Some people suffered from shock after the incident.

The Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted two rockets, one aimed at Be’er Sheva on Sunday, and one fired toward the Ashdod area the previous day.

Several buildings in the Sha’ar Hanegev Council were damaged in the barrage. A factory in the industrial zone of Sderot sustained a direct hit.

The Israel Defense Forces responded to the barrage of rocket fire with nine separate air strikes on the Gaza Strip, including one on Sunday morning. Five Palestinians were killed in the strikes.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said on Sunday that if more broad action was needed in response to the attack, Israel would act.

Earlier Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the IDF will respond aggressively to any attacks carried out by Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip.

‘The world needs to understand that Israel will not sit with arms crossed when faced by attempts to hurt us,’ Netanyahu told ministers at the weekly cabinet meeting, after more than 40 rockets struck Israel over the course of Sunday morning. ‘We are prepared to intensify our response.'” Read more.

Ezekiel 38 & 39: The Need For A Consistent Hermeneutic

11/11/2012 6 comments

By Joel Richardson – “The purpose of this paper is to discuss a common exegetical error made in the interpretation and identification of the peoples and places mentioned within various Biblical prophecies. While this error is common in the interpretation of many Biblical prophecies, it is most pronounced in the popular exegesis of Ezekiel 38 & 39. The problem, as we will discuss below, is the use an improper or inconsistent method of interpretation. Let us begin by identifying the two methods of interpretation most commonly employed by conservative evangelical, futurist exegetes.

The Historical-Grammatical Method

The first method of interpretation is the historical-grammatical approach. This approach simply seeks to understand the original context of any given passage according to how the earthly author of that passage and his immediate audience—the original hearers of the prophecy—would have understood it. This is done by carefully considering the historical context, as well as the grammar and structure of the passage in its original language. This method of interpretation is thoroughly context-driven. This method is the recognized hermeneutic used today by most trained, conservative, evangelical exegetes. In the case of Biblical prophecy, what this means is that if, for instance, Ezekiel mentions Gomer, the effort is made to identify how Ezekiel and his audience would have understood this term in their day (the early 6th Century BC). Once this is determined, the futurist exegete determines which region, modern nation, or nations correlate to the Gomer of that time. If Gomer is determined to have been understood as relating to Asia Minor of Ezekiel’s day, then it is understood that the modern nation of Turkey, which now occupies Asia Minor is the ultimate last-days fulfillment of Ezekiel’s reference to Gomer.

In the case of identifying the last days relevance of various peoples and names within ancient Biblical prophecies, this method could be called ‘the geographic-correlation-method.’ Gleason L. Archer, scholar of Old Testament and semitic languages, and one of the fathers of the doctrine of Biblical inerrancy, in The Expositor’s Bible Commentary on Daniel, champions the historic-geographic-correlation method:

Likewise, the ancient names of countries or states occupying the region where the final conflict will be carried on are used in the prediction, though most of those political units will no longer bear these names in the last days. Thus Edom, Moab, Ammon, Assyria, and Babylon which are mentioned in eschatological passages, have long since ceased to exist as political entities, their places having been taken by later peoples occupying their territories.

Myanmar (Burma): Multiple Deaths Reported After Strong 6.8 Magnitude Earthquake, ‘Worst Earthquake I Felt In My Entire Life’

11/11/2012 2 comments

Fox News – “YANGON, Burma – A strong earthquake of magnitude-6.8 struck northern Myanmar on Sunday, collapsing a bridge and a gold mine, damaging several old Buddhist pagodas and leaving as many as 12 people feared dead.

A slow release of official information left the actual extent of the damage unclear after Sunday morning’s strong quake. Myanmar has a poor official disaster response system, despite having lost upward of 140,000 people to a devastating cyclone in 2008.

Myanmar’s second-biggest city of Mandalay reported no casualties or major damage as the nearest major population center to the main quake Mandalay lies about 117 kilometers (72 miles) south of the quake’s epicenter near the town of Shwebo.

Smaller towns closer to the main quake’s epicenter were worse hit.

The area surrounding the epicenter is underdeveloped, and casualty reports were coming in piecemeal, mostly from local media. The region is a center for mining of minerals and gemstones, and several mines were reported to have collapsed.

The evening news on state television showed Vice President Sai Maul Hkam visiting the town of Thabeikyin, where the report said damage included 102 homes, 21 religious buildings, 48 government offices and four schools. The town, a gold-mining center, is near the quake’s epicenter and had casualties of three dead and 35 injured. The report brought total officially confirmed casualties to six killed and 64 injured.

Independently compiled tallies suggested a death toll of about a dozen.” Read more.

Strong 6.8 Earthquake In Burma Rattles Residents – “According to news reports, the most significant damage appeared to be the collapsing of bridge under construction across the Irrawaddy River in the town of Shwebo, the location of the quake’s epicenter. The website of Weekly Eleven magazine said five people were killed when the bridge, which was 80 percent built, collapsed. ‘This is the worst earthquake I felt in my entire life,’ said Soe Soe, a 52-year-old Shwebo resident. According to Soe Soe, the huge concrete gate of a monastery collapsed and several sculptures from another pagoda were damaged in the town.” Read more.

The Rise Of Islamic Turkey — Under Obama

11/11/2012 Leave a comment

By Theodore Shoebat, Frontpage Mag – “On election night, hours before the known outcome, Bill O’Reilly made a statement which, in many ways, foreshadowed the results of the election:

The demographics are changing. It’s not a traditional America anymore. And there are 50 percent of the voting public who want stuff. They want things. And who is going to give them things? President Obama. He knows it. And he ran on it.

With much of the population being pacified and babied, their apathy for the Middle East will be the cause of the swelling and spread of Islamic fundamentalism, because they’d rather have a welfare state then a more secure world.

Obama’s re-election has caused a major boost in confidence for countries like Britain and France in their wanting to topple Assad. But, it has also given confidence to Turkey, in its desire to oust Assad. The overall goal of the Turks, of course, is to conquer Syria, in order to revive the Ottoman empire.

A little while back, I reported on the Turkish plan to revive the Ottoman empire, and that Syria will be a primary target for Turkey’s expansion of its universal empire. Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Hamed al-Hassan, had this to say:

Turkey is trying to reconstruct the Ottoman Empire in the region … When Turkey’s Justice and Development Party won the Turkish parliamentary elections, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan presented his party’s victory to the people of Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Central Asia, and the Balkans which were once parts of the Ottoman Empire.

Now with Obama re-elected, the Turks, England and France, will be pushing the U.S. more than ever to push for the ousting of Assad, with the help of NATO forces. That this is Obama’s second term makes this situation even more dangerous, because the president now has nothing to lose, since he does not have to worry about campaigning for a subsequent victory. His actions can be reckless, since he does not have to worry about getting re-elected.

Expect to see Obama’s actions in the Middle East to be reckless — and the cause of chaos. We must expect to see the rise of Turkey following the future fall of Assad thanks to the U.S., Western allies, and NATO. With Assad gone, Turkey will then gradually take power over Syria.” Read more.

Obama’s America: What To Expect In The Next Four Years (Hint: It Isn’t Good)

11/11/2012 2 comments

By Matthew Vadum – “Americans have narrowly voted to reelect a president who will continue policies that will — not may — eventually lead to the downfall of the American republic.

The Tuesday election was a crushing defeat for the Tea Party-energized conservative movement but as a wise person once said, all defeats in politics are temporary. It is unfathomable to many Americans that a man they see as a wrongheaded, arrogant, corrupt Chief Executive could be reelected in a harsh economic climate, but as we saw with Franklin Roosevelt’s 1936 win during the Great Depression, it can happen.

For the time being I’ll leave it to others to hold forth on how best to take on the still-expanding Leviathan that President Obama is piloting but now that some of the initial pain and shock from Tuesday evening is beginning to wear off, let’s take a look at the grim future America faces if it fails to correct its course.

The economy is a shambles and thanks to the news-suppressing Obama-worshipping media, a huge chunk of the populace seems unaware of just how rotten things are. A quick recap: More than 23 million Americans are unemployed, underemployed, or have given up seeking work. The workforce participation rate is the lowest in 30 years. Annual household income is down $4,000. A record 47 million people are on food stamps. The national debt is now an astonishing $16.4 trillion and it’s probably going to shoot up even more.

This is just a smattering of the deeply depressing economic statistics that define the age of Obama.

In light of the election results, House Speaker John Boehner has Read more…
