Iran Threatens Saudi Arabia: A Few Of Our Missiles May ‘Lose Their Way’ If You Support An Israeli Strike Against Us

By AARON KLEIN – “NEW YORK – Iran has warned Saudi Arabia and Qatar that if either country allows Israel to use its airspace, Tehran may retaliate directly against those Gulf nations, according to informed Arab government officials speaking to WND.

One official said that in talks with Gulf nations, Iran ‘hinted’ that a couple of Iranian missiles ‘may lose their way’ and strike Qatar, Saudi Arabia or any other Gulf nation that allows Israel to use its airspace in any attack against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

Such threats may help to account for a reported change in Saudi Arabia’s attitude toward an Israeli strike on Iran.

Last week, Israel’s Yedioth Aharonot newspaper reported Saudi Arabia informed the Jewish state that it would intercept any Israeli aircraft crossing its airspace en route to Iran.

According to the report, the message was transmitted via the United States during talks with Obama administration officials in Jerusalem.

Saudi Arabia does not maintain an open diplomatic relationship with Israel. But the Sunni Muslim country, together with Qatar, Jordan and other moderates, views itself as threatened by the growing and opposing influence of Iran, dominated by Shiite Islam.

In July, police reported an average of five rapes a day in Stockholm. It is the highest figure in five years, Metro writes.A total of 149 rapes was reported to the police in Stockholm in July. …

It is unclear whether there is an actual increase in rapes or if it is because more victims go to the police.

“I hope that the reason for the increase is that we manage to uncover some of the rapes that are normally not reported. We work very actively on securing women’s rights and we work effectively against hate crime,” says Kjell Lindgren, chief information officer of the Stockholm police, to Metro.

The newspaper said that rapes of children under 15 account for the largest increase. These notifications have more than doubled compared to July 2011.

‘Horrific’: Five Muslim Men Rape Colorado Woman

By MATT STEINER and RYAN MAYE HANDY – “Colorado Springs police arrested five Iraqi men Tuesday in connection with what they called a ‘rare’ and ‘horrific’ sexual assault on a woman early July 22. The arrests included one man who was a central character in an Army’s sergeant’s memoir of an Iraq deployment.

Sarmad Fadhi Mohammed and Jasim Mohammed Hasin Ramadon were taken into custody on suspicion of sexual assault. Mustafa Sataar Al Feraji, Ali Mohammed Hasan Al Juboori and Yasir Jabbar Jasim were arrested on suspicion of accessory to sexual assault. All are in their 20s.

Lt. Howard Black, who heads the Police Department’s special victim’s unit, said the severity of the attack made it rare in the city, adding that the woman’s injuries could have been life-threatening.

‘We don’t see these types of assaults typically in Colorado Springs,’ he said…

According to police, the victim, a woman who works nights, said she went to check her mail outside the apartment building about 1:30 a.m. and noticed two groups of men about to fight. She tried to intervene and calm the men down.

Afterward, one of the men invited her to his apartment where there were three other men about 20 years old, police said.

The woman told police she talked with the group and drank ‘what she believed to be lemonade.’ She said she didn’t remember anything after that…

Police said all five men had established ‘lawful permanent resident’ status within the past five years but could face deportation if convicted of the crimes.” Read more.

Colorado: First Anthrax Outbreak In 31 Years Kills Dozens Of Cows On Logan County Ranch

Business Week – “LAKEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Two more cows have died from anthrax exposure in northeast Colorado, expanding the first outbreak of the disease in the state in 31 years to three ranches.

Last week, 60 cows died on a Logan County ranch, where anthrax was positively identified in one animal. Officials say it’s likely they all died of the disease.

The Colorado Department of Agriculture said Wednesday the additional cows were on two separate adjacent ranches. Both died from the disease.

State Veterinarian Keith Roehr said all three ranches involved share fences and the new cases likely are the result of cows grazing in an area with soil containing anthrax spores.

Neighboring herds have been vaccinated. No cows left the affected ranches so none entered the food supply and no human infection has been reported, Roehr said.

Anthrax kills livestock within hours of infection and can decimate herds if animals are not quickly treated, he said.

Anthrax is caused by a bacterium that forms in spores and can lie dormant in soil for decades until ingested. Humans get anthrax most commonly through direct contact with infected animals usually when spores get into a cut or abrasion on the skin. Without treatment it can be fatal, but early treatment with antibiotics is very effective.” Read more.

According to Al Akhbar News, last Tuesday, ‘hundreds of Christians gathered before the Asyut Security Directorate in Manfalut Municipality, demanding that police protect them, their children, and houses from a gang attacking their homes and imposing tributes on them.’ Led by two men Mustafa al-Sissi and Mustafa al-Asmar, ‘the gang kidnapped the son of a Coptic Christian last week and did not release him until his family paid a ransom of 3,000 EGP.’

Most recently, the Muslim gang ‘attacked the house of Romani Murad al-Gawli [another Copt], releasing several gunshots in the air, and threatening him either to pay or die.’

The gang, which comes from a town called Abdul-Rasul, ‘picked this specific village because Copts form 80% of its inhabitants.’
