Arab League To Israel: Hands Off The Muslim Temple Mount, Or Else

07/27/2012 2 comments

By Maayana Miskin, INN – “The Arab League has released a statement warning Israel to stay away from the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The mosque is located on the Temple Mount, which Judaism teaches is the holiest site in the world.

Surprisingly, the Arab League statement termed the mosque ‘the holiest of the Arab and Islamic holy sites.’ Normally, Mecca is considered the holiest site to Islam and Muslims in Jerusalem pray facing Mecca with their backs to the Temple Mount.

The statement warned the ‘occupation authorities’ against interfering with the mosque. ‘The city of Al-Quds [Jerusalem] and at its head the Al-Aqsa Mosque, is a red line that must not be crossed, and any attack on it will definitely endanger the safety and stability of the entire region,’ it stated.

The Arab League’s anger was aroused by what it termed an ‘extremist invasion’ by police to check IDs and temporarily bar access to the mosque due to Ramadan.

A Muslim Brotherhood-linked doctors’ association in Egypt plans to protest over the matter. Its demonstration will be held on Saturday night, as Jews mourn the destruction of the Temple.

The association may be burning the Israeli flag just as Israelis circle the Temple Mount in the annual Tisha B’Av (9th of Av) march.” Source – INN.

Muslim Persecution Of Christians: June, 2012

07/27/2012 3 comments

Matthew 10:22, “And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.”

By Raymond Ibrahim, Gatestone Institute – “U.S.-backed rebels are committing Christian genocide in Syria, where they are sacking churches and issuing threats that all Christians will be cleansed from rebel-held territory. A mass exodus of thousands of Christians is taking place, even as mainstream Western reporters, such as Robert Fisk, demonize these same Christians for being supportive of the secular regime.

The bloody jihad waged against Nigeria’s Christians, which has seen hundreds killed this year alone, now includes plans to kill Christians with poisoned food, as part of the Islamic organization Boko Haram’s stated goal of purging Nigeria of all Christian presence.

During Egypt’s presidential elections, Al Ahram reported that ‘the Muslim Brotherhood blockaded entire streets; prevented Copts, at gunpoint, from voting and threatened Christian families not to let their children go out and vote’ for the secular candidate.

Meanwhile, under President Obama, the U.S. State Department, in an unprecedented move, purged the sections dealing with religious persecution from its recently released Country Reports on Human Rights. Similarly, the Obama administration insists that the Nigeria crisis has nothing to do with religion, even as Obama offered his hearty blessings to Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood president, in the midst of allegations of electoral fraud.

Categorized by theme, June’s assemblage of Muslim persecution of Christians around the world includes, but is not limited to, the following accounts, listed in alphabetical order by country, not severity.

Church Attacks

Egypt: Because many visitors were in attendance, Muslims surrounded a Coptic church during divine liturgy, ‘demanding that the visiting Copts leave the church before the completion of prayers, and threatening to burn down the church if their demands were not met.’ The priest contacted police and asked for aid, only to be told to comply with their demands, ‘and do not let buses with visitors come to the church anymore.’ Christian worshippers exited halfway through liturgy; they were subjected to jeers outside. As the Christians drove away, Muslims hurled stones at their buses. Also, repairs to a Coptic church that was torched and gutted a year ago by rioting Muslims were woefully inadequate, leaving the congregation with a staggering debt from further necessary repairs.

Indonesia: A Muslim mob of 300 wrecked a store that was being used for a Sunday church service on the pretext that it had not obtained ‘permission to hold Mass.’ The mob wrecked the first floor of the store, breaking windows and damaging furniture. Police stopped the mob before it reached the Read more…

Top Italian Hotel Bows To Allah, Agrees That Muslim Porter Won’t Have To Take Orders From Woman Boss

By Cheradenine Zakalwe, Islam vs Europe – “This is a good example of the insidious process of self-degradation that the Muslim presence inevitably triggers in any civilised country.

On this occasion it is the the famous Hotel Danieli in Venice that has demeaned itself. In the past, it has played host to such luminaries as Wagner, Alfred de Musset, George Sand and Goethe. More recently, its standards seem to have fallen.

A Muslim porter, of Egyptian origin, told his bosses that he wasn’t going to take orders from a woman. The management initially invited him to respect Italian norms. But when he refused, and handed in his resignation, the management decided to appease his sensibilities ‘as he was well regarded by clients and other employees’.

We therefore decided to guarantee that during his work hours, his boss would have a male colleague at her side who would act as a liaison with the Egyptian to communicate the tasks to be performed.”

Rise of Islam Challenges Church in Italy – “Cardinal Camillo Ruini, the president of the Italian bishops’ conference, asked Church representatives in that country to be on guard against an Islamic revival in Europe. Speaking in Verona, at the closing of the 4th National Ecclesial Congress, Cardinal Ruini spoke about the ‘religious, social, and political revival of Islam’ throughout the world, and the desire of Muslims to attain a more powerful influence over world affairs. The result, the cardinal said, is a multiplication of the opportunities for conflict– and therefore a more urgent need for active work to preserve the peace.” Read more.

France: Marseille City Prosecutor Bows To Allah After Muslim Mob Attacks Police During Islamic Veil ID Check

France24 – “In the restive port city of Marseille, police fear that the release of four people arrested for allegedly attacking officers during an ID check on a woman wearing an Islamic veil will undermine their fight against violent crime in the city.

Marseille police say three of its officers were injured in the early hours of July 25 when a mob of some 50 people tried to prevent them from checking the identity of a woman who was wearing a full Islamic veil.

Under a controversial law passed in 2010, wearing a full veil or covering one’s face in a public place is illegal in France and offenders must submit to ID checks.

According to the police, the woman was stopped just after midnight near a city mosque and refused to cooperate with the officers.

A man accompanying her as well as a large group of bystanders came to her aid and three officers were ‘lightly injured’ in a scuffle.

After police reinforcements arrived, four people, including the 18-year-old woman named only as ‘Louise-Marie’, were arrested for allegedly assaulting the officers – but were promptly released with a warning on the orders of the city prosecutor.

According to an AFP source, the decision was ‘a gesture of appeasement during the holy [Islamic] month of Ramadan.’…

‘What kind of message does this send out?’ asked David-Olivier Reverdy, head of the Alliance police union. ‘We are absolutely astonished … The prosecutor has given carte blanche to criminals in Marseille,’ he said. ‘The message is that they can behave with impunity. It is extremely worrying.”” Read more.

Flashback: Imams’ Indoctrinating French Muslims With Culture Of Hate, Racism – “… French Jewish artist Ron Agam told the Algemeiner that, ‘It is about time now for the French authorities to radically search for these Imams and put a stop to the brainwashing on tens of thousands of Muslim kids in France.’ ‘It is unacceptable that this culture of racism and antisemitism is being tolerated by a significant number of the Muslim community, this culture must stop,’ he concluded.” Read more.

Flashback: Expert: Large European Cities Overwhelmed by Muslim Population – “Muslim population in many big European cities already exceeds 20%, according to Alex Alexiev, an expert in international security and radical Islam and visiting fellow at the Hudson Institute, Washington, D.C. In his words, however, what is especially worrying is that these Muslims are getting radicalized. The expert reckons that almost all Western European countries are marked by a high degree of radicalization.” Read more.

Mob Armed With Guns And Knives Forces Church To Close In Northern Algeria

07/27/2012 Leave a comment

ICC – “International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that an armed mob prevented Christians from attending a Protestant worship service in northern Algeria on Friday and demanded the church’s immediate closure. Despite government approval to officially register Protestant churches, congregations throughout the country continue to be threatened and harassed because of their inability to quickly obtain legal status.

On July 20, Christians affiliated with the Protestant Church of Algeria (EPA) were blocked from entering a house where services were being held by a group of disgruntled neighbors in the village of El Majene, near Freha in northern Algeria. The mob, armed with guns and knives, accused the church’s 80 members of meeting ‘illegally’ and launched a petition demanding the church’s immediate closure, the Algerian daily La Dépêche de Kabylie reported.

Despite permission given by the Ministry of Interior in July 2011 stating that all EPA churches are allowed to officially register their congregations, many EPA churches, including the church in El Majene, have not yet been approved. Until the registration is processed, which is known to take years, Protestant churches are considered illegal and often face harassment by neighbors and local authorities.

‘It’s possible that more churches will be closed because the registration process takes so long,’ a spokesman of the EPA in Tizi Ouzou told ICC. ‘Without legal status, neighbors will continue to pressure the church and force Christians to leave. But, if churches have government authorization, than there will not be as many problems.’

Aidan Clay, ICC Regional Manager for the Middle East, said, ‘Although EPA churches have been permitted to register their congregations, the process is arduous and often accompanied by long delays. Yet, the security of Algeria’s churches depends on their ability to register. Until they are granted legal status, worshippers will continue to be harassed and discriminated against by angry mobs and local authorities. It has been more than a year since the Ministry of Interior granted EPA churches approval to register. No justification can be given as to why some EPA churches have still not received official status. We urge the Algerian government to act quickly by legalizing the status of all EPA churches and by overturning repressive legislation, such as Ordinance 06-03, that greatly restricts the worship of Christians and other religious minorities in the country.'” Source – Persecution.org.

Islamic Clerics In Kuwait Declare Building Churches In Muslim Countries Must Be Forbidden

07/27/2012 3 comments

Qur’an Sura 3:85, “And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers [in hell].”

Arab Times – “KUWAIT CITY, July 26: A group of Islamic preachers claimed that churches should not be built in Islamic countries particularly in the Arabian Peninsula following the issuance of an approval for constructing a church in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

Undersecretary of Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Mutlaq Al-Qarawi stressed that the ministry is not responsible for issuing licenses for building churches, and only receives the applications for licenses, which they refer immediately to the Municipality for review.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Nazem Al-Misbah pointed out that the Fatwa and Legislation Department should be questioned for such issues, stressing that based on his knowledge about Islam, it is forbidden to build churches in the Arabian Peninsula.

Adding to the Sheikh Nazem’s comment, Sheikh Mohammad Humoud Al-Najdi said building churches in Kuwait should be prohibited, as Kuwait is a part of the Arabian Peninsula.

Furthermore, Sheikh Sayed A-Rifae Al-Husseini expressed displeasure towards Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and the Municipality for approving the construction of a new church in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, stressing that it is not permissible as per the Sharia.

He added that giving excuses such as it is a matter of human rights and international norms to build it, is not acceptable, as Islam comes first, and people should respect religion first before serving humanity or anything else.” Source – Arab Times.

Flashback: Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Calls for ‘Destruction of All Churches in Region’ – “According to several Arabic news sources, last Monday, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, declared that it is ‘necessary to destroy all the churches of the region.’ The Grand Mufti made his assertion in response to a question posed by a delegation from Kuwait, regarding the position of a Kuwaiti parliament member who recently called for the ‘removal’ of churches (he later ‘clarified’ by saying he merely meant that no churches should be built in Kuwait). The Kuwaiti delegation wanted to confirm Sharia’s position on churches. Accordingly, the Grand Mufti ‘stressed that Kuwait was a part of the Arabian Peninsula, and therefore it is necessary to destroy all churches in it.’” Read more.

Flashback: Death to Churches and Christian Holidays in the Islamic World – “Last Sunday, many Christians around the world celebrated Easter, taking for granted that they can congregate and worship in peace. Not so in the Islamic world, where top religious officials call for the destruction of churches, Christian holidays celebrated in church are increasingly a time of death and destruction, and a time of terror. Nigeria, for example, saw some 50 Christians killed ‘when explosives concealed in two cars went off near a church during Easter Sunday services in the northern Nigerian city of Kaduna …” Read more.
