Report: Thousands Of Iranian Agents Poised To Invade America
By Reza Kahlili – “Iran has expanded its terror network and now has tens of thousands of agents in Latin America, according to a former Iranian official who has witnessed the regime’s crimes against humanity inside Iran and has knowledge of its terror network targeting the West.
In interviews with the opposition outside Iran, the official revealed that more than 40,000 of the regime’s security, intelligence and propaganda forces successfully have been placed over time in Bolivia, Brazil, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Ecuador and Venezuela.
These forces consist mostly of former interrogators, torturers and security forces along with the members of the Quds Forces.
Many of them, according to the source, are other nationalities, such as Afghans, Lebanese, Iraqis and Somalis.
Hassan Rahim Pour Azghodi, a member of The Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution in Iran and a noted ideologist and theorist of the Islamic regime who visited Ecuador, Venezuela and several other Latin American countries last year, is a former interrogator and a torturer who is now a close adviser of Ghassem Soliemani, the chief commander of the Quds Forces, the source said.
Azghodi, in a lecture last September aired on Iranian state-owned television, stated, ‘We must get ready for global operation. … Our fellow fighters are present in all five continents of the world. … An international jihad must be provoked; we must fear no one.’
According to the source, many of these forces have Read more…
Russia Sends Two Destroyers And Three Amphibious Landing Vessels To Syria
By Tom Parfitt – “Two destroyers and three amphibious landing vessels carrying marines set sail from Russian bases in the Arctic and the Black Sea, according to Russian military sources.
Russia’s defence ministry insisted that the mission was part of a previously scheduled exercise in the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Black Sea and at least one of the vessels in the flotilla has patrolled waters off Syria earlier this year.
But Western diplomats say the purpose of the mission is to show tangible support for Mr Assad, to warn the West against military intervention in Syria and to prepare for the possible evacuation of Russian nationals from the country.
Russia renewed naval patrols in the Mediterranean in 2007 – after a 15-year hiatus – with a wider aim of expressing the country’s military resurgence.
It was unclear whether the ships were carrying weapons supplies or large numbers of marines.” Read more.
Russia’s Putin Says The West Is On The Decline – “President Vladimir Putin said on Monday the West’s influence was waning as its economy declines but warned Russian diplomats to be on their guard against a backlash from Moscow’s former Cold War enemies. In a biennial speech to Russian ambassadors, Putin also took a shot at the West by condemning any unilateral actions to solve international disputes and underlined the importance of resolving such conflicts through the United Nations. His remarks suggested that Russia, a veto-wielding permanent member of the Security Council, would keep on defending ally Syria at the United Nations over its military crackdown on an popular uprising that has evolved into an armed insurgency.” Read more.
Obama Administration Excludes Israel From New Counterterrorism Forum
By Adam Kredo – “Despite pleas from Senators on Capitol Hill, the Obama administration excluded Israel from a new counterterrorism forum and neglected to mention its long and deadly struggle with terrorism during remarks presented yesterday in Spain.
Maria Otero, the State Department’s Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights, delivered a speech entitled ‘Victims of Terrorism’ before 29 members of the Global Counterterrorism Forum, an coalition of countries—not including Israel—that collectively combat terror.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sparked a controversy in June when she announced the coalition’s formation and neglected to include Israel on a list of countries that perpetually struggle with terror attacks. It is widely believed that Israel was overlooked as a member due to the opposition of Turkey, which has increasingly been at odds with the Jewish state.
Congressional sources and regional experts say that the Obama administration is intentionally downplaying Israel’s struggle with terrorism in order to appease and gain the cooperation of Arab nations that are often hostile to the Jewish state.
A congressional source told the Free Beacon Tuesday that the State Department confirmed to inquiring members of Congress that Israel was in fact excluded from the conference.
‘The State Department told us that only the 29 original member countries were involved—and that means no Israel,’ said the source.
During yesterday’s gathering, Israel was also excluded again from a list of nations recognized by the U.S. for their efforts to deal with terrorism.
‘Last September at the official launch of the Global Counterterrorism Forum, I had the privilege to introduce the premiere of a film ‘Hear their Voices’, which tells the stories of eleven survivors of terrorist attacks from Pakistan, Jordan, Northern Ireland, Uganda, Turkey, Indonesia, India, Spain, Columbia, and the United States,’ Otero said before the gathering of nations.
‘The film, which was produced by the Global Survivors Network, is a powerful plea for audiences around the world, especially those sympathetic to the grievances expressed by extremists, to recognize the human cost of terrorism and I am delighted that our Spanish hosts are planning on showing this film here later this afternoon,’ she added.
Experts say the omission of Israel was intentional.” Read more.
Flashback: United States Ousts Israel From Counterterrorism Forum Due To Fierce Objections From Turkey – “The United States blocked Israel’s participation in the Global Counterterrorism Forum’s (GCTF) first meeting in Istanbul on Friday, despite Israel’s having one of the most extensive counterterrorism experiences in the world. Israel was excluded from the meeting due to fierce objections by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a Washington-based source told Globes news.” Read more.
Flashback: Our World: An Ally No More, ‘Under President Obama, the US Government Has Become Hostile’ to Israel – “Until the US-supported overthrow of Hosni Mubarak, Egypt served as the anchor of the US alliance system in the Arab world. The Egyptian military is US-armed, US-trained and US-financed… GIVEN EGYPT’S singular importance to US strategic interests in the Arab world, the Obama administration’s response to the calamitous election results has been shocking. Rather than sound the alarm bells, US President Barack Obama has celebrated the results as a victory for ‘democracy.’ Rather than warn Egypt that it will face severe consequences if it completes its Islamist transformation, the Obama administration has turned its guns on the first country that will pay a price for Egypt’s Islamic revolution: Israel.” Read more.
‘Out Of Whack’: Corn Is Dying All Over America
“All over America the corn is dying. If drought conditions persist in the middle part of the country, wheat and soybeans will be next. Weeks of intense heat combined with extraordinarily dry conditions have brought many U.S. corn farmers to the brink of total disaster. If there is not significant rainfall soon, many farmers will be financially ruined. This period of time is particularly important for corn because this is when pollination is supposed to happen. But the unprecedented heat and the extremely dry conditions are playing havoc with that process. With each passing day things get even worse. We have seen the price of a bushel of corn soar 41 percent since June 14th. That is an astounding rise. You may not eat much corn directly, but it is important to realize that corn or corn syrup is just about in everything these days. Just look at your food labels. In the United States today, approximately 75 percent of all processed foods contain corn. So a huge rise in the price of corn is going to be felt all over the supermarket. Corn is also widely used to feed livestock, and if this crisis continues we are going to see a significant rise in meat and dairy prices as well. Food prices in America have already been rising at a steady pace, and so this is definitely not welcome news.
The weather conditions in the middle part of the country during the last couple of months have been highly unusual. The following is from a recent article in the Los Angeles Times….
It’s not that the Midwest hasn’t been extremely hot before, and it’s not that it hasn’t been incredibly dry.
But it’s unusual for a vast swath of the Midwest to be so very hot and so very dry for so very long — particularly this early in the summer.
The current heat wave — which is spurring comparisons to the catastrophic heat of 1936 — is “out of whack,” meteorologist Jim Keeney said Friday in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.
Corn crops typically pollinate and mature in June and early July. That is why this time of the year is so vitally important for corn. We have reached a make it or break it moment.” Read more.
‘Symbols Of Paganism’: Prominent Muslim Clerics Call Upon Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood To Destroy The Pyramids
By Raymond Ibrahim – “According to several reports in the Arabic media, prominent Muslim clerics have begun to call for the demolition of Egypt’s Great Pyramids—or, in the words of Saudi Sheikh Ali bin Said al-Rabi‘i, those ‘symbols of paganism,’ which Egypt’s Salafi party has long planned to cover with wax. Most recently, Bahrain’s ‘Sheikh of Sunni Sheikhs’ and President of National Unity, Abd al-Latif al-Mahmoud, called on Egypt’s new president, Muhammad Morsi, to ‘destroy the Pyramids and accomplish what the Sahabi Amr bin al-As could not.’
This is a reference to the Muslim Prophet Muhammad’s companion, Amr bin al-As and his Arabian tribesmen, who invaded and conquered Egypt circa 641. Under al-As and subsequent Muslim rule, many Egyptian antiquities were destroyed as relics of infidelity. While most Western academics argue otherwise, according to early Muslim writers, the great Library of Alexandria itself—deemed a repository of pagan knowledge contradicting the Koran—was destroyed under bin al-As’s reign and in compliance with Caliph Omar’s command.
However, while book-burning was an easy activity in the 7th century, destroying the mountain-like pyramids and their guardian Sphinx was not—even if Egypt’s Medieval Mamluk rulers ‘de-nosed’ the latter during target practice (though popular legend still attributes it to a Westerner, Napoleon).
Now, however, as Bahrain’s ‘Sheikh of Sheikhs’ observes, and thanks to modern technology, the pyramids can be destroyed. The only question left is whether the Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt is ‘pious’ enough—if he is willing to complete the Islamization process that started under the hands of Egypt’s first Islamic conqueror.” Read more.
Mali: Islamist Group Poised To Destroy Rare Centuries-Old Texts on Science and Mathematics – “Armed with hammers, pickaxes, and loaded guns, Islamist extremists are tearing down Timbuktu’s ancient shrines, endangering rare texts on science and mathematics. Documents housed in the shrines include writings about astronomy, the health effects of tobacco, and 3,000-year-old medicine, according to the New Scientist. They are part of Timbuktu’s ‘matchless collection’ of about 300,000 historical Islamic texts, some dating back to the 13th century. Since last weekend, members of Mali’s Ansar Dine, an Islamist militia with alleged lies to al-Qaida, have destroyed at least eight mausoleums as well as several tombs. They say their actions come at the behest of a ‘divine order’ to eliminate idolatrous monuments, reports Time.” Read more.
Another Laughless Joke: Iran Elected As Head Of The UN Arms Trade Treaty
Common sense isn’t so common when the actions of Useless Neanderthals are consistently void of all reason …
“The U.N. has hit another new low by electing Iran, which is under world sanctions for building illegal nuclear weapons to head the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty.
The Iranian mission was elected as a deputy of the conference on the Arms Trade Treaty.
The conference opened on July 3. High-level delegations of U.N. member states joined the conference.
The conference meetings would last for a month. The mission is looking for talks that support the preparation of a treaty to regulate trade in all conventional weapons.
The meeting is scheduled to discuss possible objections to the transfer of conventional weapons in the international arena and to develop ways to deal with it within the framework of a treaty.
‘How can the institution of the U.N. be taken seriously when it elects brutal regimes to policy making,’ an expert on the U.N. asked.
‘The U.N. has become nothing more than a joke in the eyes of the world,’ he added.” Source – Your Jewish News.
Flashback: UN Appoints Saudi Arabia To Lead Counter Terrorism Initiative – “If the UN were to form an anti-terrorism group dedicated to attacking the menace on a global scale, who do you think would be asked to lead it? A nation with a proven track record of anti-terror initiatives? A nation that esteems human rights and freedoms above all else? Unfortunately, in the case of the UN Centre for Counter Terrorism (UNCCT), the answer is emphatically neither… the UN appointed Saudi Arabia, a country historically labeled by groups like the CATO Institute as a state sponsor of terrorism, to chair the flagship effort to end such practices.” Read more.

Mystery Disease Killing Dozens Of Children In Cambodia Linked To Virulent Strain Of Hand, Foot And Mouth Disease
Associated Press – “PHNOM PENH, Cambodia — A deadly form of a common childhood illness has been linked to the mysterious child deaths in Cambodia that sparked alarm after a cause could not immediately be determined, health officials said Monday.
Lab tests have confirmed that a virulent strain of hand, foot and mouth disease known as EV-71 is to blame for some of the 59 cases reviewed since April, including 52 deaths, according to a joint statement from the World Health Organization and Cambodian Health Ministry. The numbers were lowered from the initial report of 62 cases.
EV-71 is a virus that can result in paralysis, brain swelling and death. Most of the Cambodian cases involved children younger than 3 who experienced fever, respiratory problems that led to rapid shutdown and sometimes neurological symptoms.
Epidemiologists are still trying to piece together information about the cases by interviewing parents because some details may have been omitted or missing from medical charts and specimens were not taken from most children before they died, said Dr. Nima Asgari, who is leading the WHO investigation. Of 24 samples tested, 15 came back positive for EV-71.
‘As far as I’m aware, EV-71 was not identified as a virus in Cambodia before,’ Asgari said, adding that based on the information now available it’s likely that the majority of untested patients were infected with it.” Read more.
Canada: P.E.I. Fish Kill Much Larger Than Initial Estimates, ‘Everything In The Area Is Dead’
CBC News – “A fish kill in Trout River is now being called a complete kill, as scientists have discovered the incident is more severe than initially thought.
‘Everything in the area is dead,’ said Todd Dupuis of the Atlantic Salmon Federation.
The river was also hit with a fish kill last year. Rosanne MacFarlane, a freshwater biologist with the province, said the number of dead fish collected is significantly greater than last year, even though a smaller portion of the river is affected.
On a careful count of the fish collected Sunday night, MacFarlane found 1,459 fish had been collected: 1,317 trout, 20 salmon, and 122 sticklebacks. That did not include a section in Barclay Brook. MacFarlane adds that as the days pass, the chances of finding fish decreases because they are taken by predators and get buried in the mud.
‘For every fish you pick up, you usually miss four or five,’ said Dupuis. ‘So you’re probably looking in the 10,000 fish range.’
Dupuis said this situation is also different because they found dead sticklebacks among the trout and salmon.
‘They can survive in very low oxygen and very hot water temperatures. When you start finding these stickleback dead, you know it was likely a fairly toxic event.'” Read more.
California: Starving Pelicans Turn Up On Bay Area Beaches
“MOSS LANDING (CBS SF) — Wildlife rescuers say large numbers of starving young pelicans are turning up on local beaches right now.
The pelicans appear thin and weak, and are walking up to people, said Rebecca Dmytryk, a spokeswoman for WildRescue, a Moss Landing-based nonprofit.
Dmytryk said the starving young birds, which can be distinguished from adults by their brown heads, are distressing to see but probably part of a normal natural die-off, or ‘survival of the fittest.’
While it’s distressing to see, not all the young birds can or should be saved, she noted.
‘Should we intervene? It’s a tough call!’ Dmytryk said in a written statement. ‘It’s certainly upsetting to see a starving baby pelican on the beach, but are we doing the species a disservice if we take in all the weak ones?’
Resources for bird rescues are limited, and the nearest center, in Cordelia, is already overrun with young pelicans who cost a great deal to feed, Dmytryk said.” Read more.
New York: Dolphin Near Chelsea Piers Starved To Death – “Last month, a lone dolphin was spotted swimming near Chelsea Piers in lower Manhattan; at the time, director of the Riverhead Foundation’s rescue program Kimberly Durham noted that seeing a dolphin close to shore ‘can be an indication that something is not right.’ The dolphin sadly later turned up dead, and now we know why: marine researchers told DNAInfo the dolphin starved to death. ‘We basically found an emaciated dolphin with no signs of food—so the animal had not been eating,’ said Kim Durham, a biologist with the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation. ‘Just an extremely emaciated animal, with not enough food to survive—if it had been eating at all.'” Read more.
Texas: Dozens of Dead Birds Found In Rockport Rookery, Starvation Suspected – “Last Friday a Rockport woman became alarmed when she noticed at least 2 dozen dead birds in a spot next to her workplace on the Highway 35 business route. She contacted Tony Amos with the Animal Rehabilitation Keep to check it out. Of course it’s part of the natural cycle of life you will find the occasional dead egret in a rookery like this but to find over 20 in the same area was a bit concerning… the birds are probably malnourished and he speculates that there could be several reasons for this. The hot and dry summer has taken its toll on the birds feeding area, and has probably dried up the bird’s reserve of fresh water.” Read more.
Nigeria Recoils From Violence As Boko Haram Claims Responsibility, ‘We Praise God In This War For The Prophet’
DW – “Suspected gunmen are arrested as Nigeria’s president vows tough action after more than 100 people were killed in raids in Plateau state. The dead include a senator and a state lawmaker.
Senator Gyang Dantong and Gyang Fulani from the Plateau House of Assembly were among 22 other mourners who were killed when gunmen opened fire on a mass burial.
As news of their killing spread, mobs set up roadblocks, prompting Governor Jonah Jang to impose an immediate dusk-to-dawn curfew in four areas.
Police sources said on Monday at least 25 gunmen had been arrested in connection with the attacks.
Sunday’s funeral ceremony was being held for the victims of attacks on villages in Barkin Ladi district in Plateau state which occurred a day earlier.
The villages had come under siege by attackers, who were dressed in camouflage military uniforms and bulletproof military vests. They roamed from one house top another attacking for nearly two hours.
One witness, who escaped, compared the scene to a war field telling local media he saw ‘hundreds’ of corpses, including that of a policeman. The state’s police spokesman, Abuh Emmanuel told AFP that a number of houses had been burnt.” Read more.
Nigeria’s Boko Haram Claims Deadly Plateau Attacks – “Nigerian Islamist sect Boko Haram said on Tuesday it was behind attacks in volatile Plateau state last weekend that killed at least 65 people, but security forces blamed the violence on localised ethnic clashes. ‘We praise God in this war for the Prophet Mohammad. Defiance: Islamist Parliament In Egypt Reconvenes Despite Military Warning
Give them one inch, and they will demand a mile. But even a mile will not be good enough. It is but a stepping stone to seize it all …
Reuters – “CAIRO – Egypt’s parliament reconvened on Tuesday in an open challenge to the generals who dissolved the assembly last month, stirring up tensions with the military just 10 days into Mohamed Mursi’s presidency.
Mursi, the first civilian president to take office after six decades of military men in power, recalled the assembly on Sunday. The body, dominated by Mursi’s Muslim Brotherhood group and other allies, was dismissed by the army in line with a court ruling issued days before Mursi’s election.
Shortly before parliament speaker Saad al-Katatni opened the session, the United States urged all sides to engage in talks to safeguard the political transition in Egypt, a close US ally in the three decades under ousted Hosni Mubarak’s rule.
‘I invited you to convene in accordance with the decree issued by the president,’ said Katatni, who like Mursi hails from the Brotherhood. ‘I would like to confirm that the presidential decree does not violate the court order.’
The dispute is part of a broader power struggle which could take years to play out. It pits the Brotherhood, which was repressed by Mubarak and his predecessors, against the generals seeking to keep their privileges and status and a wider establishment still filled with Mubarak-era officials.
The parliament was elected over the course of six weeks beginning in November, under a complex voting procedure which the court later ruled was unconstitutional, declaring the lower house void.
The then-ruling military said that meant the parliament had to be dissolved, but Mursi’s supporters say it should still be allowed to work until early elections are held after a new constitution is passed.
On Monday the army defended its action to dissolve parliament and, in an apparent swipe at the president, said it was confident ‘all state institutions’ would respect the constitution and the law.
Nevertheless, the army did not take any steps to prevent lawmakers from entering parliament.” Read more.
