Anti-Semitism Surging In France, ‘It Is Unacceptable That This Culture Of Racism … Is Being Tolerated’

Is it any wonder that when 80% or more of mosques in the west preach violent extremism and Islamic supremacy that we see a steady increase of Anti-Semitic and Anti-Christian “incidents” involving the “religion of peace”? If the Muslim community in France is any indication today, then we can be absolutely certain that similar behaviour will be seen in the cities of America tomorrow …

IPT News – “Three Jews were attacked Saturday night in Southeast France by 10 men wielding a hammer and an iron bar. Two of the victims, both wearing yarmulkes, were hospitalized in what the French Interior Ministry is calling an act of anti-Semitism.

This latest attack comes on the heels of a report released June 1 by the French Jewish community’s protection service, known as the SPCJ, which documented a surge in anti-Semitic attacks throughout France in March and April. The impetus is believed to be the March 19 shooting at a Jewish day school in Toulouse, in which Muslim radical Mohamed Merah claimed the lives of three children and a rabbi.

The report states that the Toulouse shooting ‘triggered an explosion’ in anti-Semitic attacks in France, with more than 90 incidents occurring in the ten days immediately following the shooting. In total, the Interior Ministry logged 148 anti-Semitic attacks in March and April, with 43 classified as violent. In the same months last year, only 14 violent attacks were recorded against Jews.

The last violent incident documented in the interim report occurred April 30 in Marseille, when self-identified Palestinians accosted a Jewish man and his girlfriend while promising to ‘exterminate’ the Jews. The man sustained internal bleeding from the attack.” Read more.

Imams’ indoctrinating French Muslims with culture of hate, racism – “In reaction to the incident, French Jewish artist Ron Agam told the Algemeiner that, ‘It is about time now for the French authorities to radically search for these Imams and put a stop to the brainwashing on tens of thousands of Muslim kids in France.’ ‘It is unacceptable that this culture of racism and antisemitism is being tolerated by a significant number of the Muslim community, this culture must stop,’ he concluded.” Read more.

Flashback: Report: Saudis Export Anti-Christian and Anti-Jewish Textbooks that Continue to Fuel Intolerance and Violence Around the Globe – “Textbooks used in Saudi Arabia’s schools contain virulent forms of anti-Christian and anti-Jewish bigotry that continue to fuel intolerance and violence around the globe, says a new report…  ‘Because of the Saudis’ great oil wealth, it is able to disseminate its textbooks … to many Muslim schools, mosques and libraries throughout the world. ‘This is not just hate mongering, it’s promoting violence,’ … Christians are referred to as ‘swine’ and Jews as ‘apes,’ while being blamed for much of the world’s ills.” Read more.

Egypt: Eritrean Christians In Cairo Abducted By Islamists, Told To Convert To Islam

Christian Today – “Christian Solidarity Worldwide has received alarming reports of the abductions of six Eritrean women in Cairo.

The women were reportedly abducted in the Egyptian capital by men purporting to be police officers.

The women, aged between 20 and 32, claim to have travelled in a white taxi that was stopped by men in police uniforms, who opened the vehicle and sprayed an unknown substance into their faces that caused them to lose consciousness. When they awoke, they were in an unfamiliar location.

One woman reported being abducted on her way to church and being held for around three weeks. She said that upon regaining consciousness, she was in a small room with the other five women who had also been abducted from the streets of Cairo.

Three had reportedly already been there for three months and two allegedly paid $5,000 for their release without success.

The women reported having to wear burkhas and being told that they would be released if they converted to Islam.

Four women were able to escape by causing a commotion as their abductors took them by car to another location. The other two women remain unaccounted for.” Read more.

Flashback: Number of Christian girls abducted and coerced into Islam has skyrocketed – “The number of Christian girls abducted and coerced into converting to Islam since the Egyptian ‘January 25 Revolution’ has skyrocketed, according to Father Filopateer Gamil of St. Mary’s Church in Giza. ‘More than two to three girls disappear everyday in Giza alone,’ he said. ‘The cases that are brought to public attention are few compared to what the numbers actually are.’ Many Christians blame the military council for not intervening to put an end to this problem, which has escalated after the Revolution because of the ‘emergence of Muslim Salafists,’ says activist Mark Ebeid, ‘who believe strongly that converting a Christian Infidel is in some ways like earning a ticket to paradise — not to mention the earthly remuneration they get from the Saudis.’” Read more.

New York City Accountant Pleads Guilty To Aiding Al-Qaeda

Don’t worry, I’m sure it was for “peaceful purposes” …

By TOM HAYS, Associated Press – “A well-traveled certified public accountant from New York pleaded guilty on Monday to federal charges that he used his technical skills to help al-Qaida.

Sabirhan Hasanoff had been arrested in 2010 in Dubai and brought to the United States to face charges of providing material support to the terror network. He faces up to 15 years in prison at his July 23 sentencing.

Prosecutors portrayed Hasanoff as a new, more sophisticated breed of homegrown terrorist: He is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Australia who lived in Brooklyn with his two children, graduated from Baruch College in Manhattan and formerly worked as a senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Before his arrest, prosecutors say, Hasanoff recently visited countries including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Syria, Malaysia, Yemen and Oman.

An indictment alleged that Hasanaff and another man charged in the case met with a third man in 2008 to discuss how to help al-Qaida. It said the third man paid Hasanoff $50,000 to transfer money and do other tasks for the terror network.

The investigation uncovered evidence that Hasanoff and his co-defendant used code words on Internet chats during 2009 about fighting jihad and finding other al-Qaida contacts, prosecutors said. In their coded language, ‘safari’ was used in place of ‘jihad’ and saying a friend was ‘hospitalized’ meant that he was ‘in prison.'” Source – Associated Press.

Muslim Leaders Outraged After NYPD Surveillance Of Potential Islamic Threats Declared Legal – “New York City police did not violate New Jersey laws when they conducted surveillance of Muslim businesses, mosques and student groups, Gov. Desert Locusts Swarm Across Libya And Algeria, Niger And Mali Warned Of Imminent Risk

By Xan Rice, FT – “The death of Muammar Gaddafi continues to reverberate across Africa – this time in the form of desert locusts.

The Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations warned on Tuesday that croplands in Niger and Mali were at imminent risk from locust swarms moving south from Libya and Algeria. The revolution in Libya played a major role in allowing the pests to breed, it said.

‘The fall of Gaddafi was an enormous factor, to be honest,’ said Keith Cressman, FAO senior locust forecasting officer. ‘It depleted the Libyans’ capacity to monitor and respond as they normally would.’

Insecurity along the Libya-Algeria border – a fallout from the uprising – meant that teams are still unable to properly spray the affected areas.

Desert locusts have the capacity to destroy vast areas of croplands. During a plague, a swarm can stretch for several hundred square kilometres comprising billions of locusts, each capable of eating its own weight in food a day.

A 2003-05 plague affected farmers in two dozen countries, mainly in Africa, and cost more than $500m to bring under control. The current infestation is nowhere near that level, but the FAO fears that the insecurity in Mali will hamper the response efforts there.

Desert locust swarms formed in Libya and Algeria in mid-May, after good rains and the resultant growth of vegetation on which they feed. The first swarms have already been sighted in northern Niger, which is currently experiencing a food crisis.” Read more.

Former Hedge Funder Presents A Terrifying Vision Of ‘The End Game’

By Max Nisen, Business Insider – “Everyday, we hear some pretty grim predictions about the markets and the economy. But this is one of the more comprehensive and most gloomy outlooks we’ve ever seen.

Raoul Pal expects a series of sovereign defaults, the ‘biggest banking crisis in world history’, and asserts that we don’t have many options to stop it.

Pal previously co-managed the GLG Global Macro Fund. He is also a Goldman Sachs alum. He currently writes for The Global Macro Investor, a research publication for large and institutional investors.

A note on the presentation; the last slide is not meant to suggest that we’re going back to the economic activity of 3000 years ago. It refers to the 3000 year old trade links between the nations along the Indian Ocean, which Mr. Pal believes will be the center of world’s opportunities. Just like the West 50 years ago, they have ‘…low debts, high savings and a young population’.” Source – Business Insider.

Egyptian Women: ‘They Were Doing Better Under Mubarak’

06/05/2012 Leave a comment

“The worst sin and distraction from virtue that I have left for man is woman” – Prophet of Islam, Mohammed, Sahih AlBukhari, 5096

When I stood on the door of hell, I saw most of its inhabitants were women” – Prophet of Islam, Mohammed, Sahih AlBukhari, 5196

By Nabila Ramdani – “If you were to read a first draft of last year’s Egyptian revolution, it would probably be written by a woman. The uprisings that spread across the country from late January were originally chronicled by prolific female writers such as Nawara Negm, who used everything from internet blogs to appearances on Al Jazeera to spread information to the outside world. ‘Freedom is only for those who are ready to die,’ was her mantra, although the protesters’ tactics proved less extreme. Civil disobedience, marches and strikes were preferred to violence, with the number of women in Cairo’s Tahrir (‘liberation’) Square peaking at around 50%.

How dispiriting, then, a year and a half on, to see a highly politicised female population relegated to near-onlookers during Egypt’s first bona fide presidential election race.

In Cairo today, there is no longer a sense of a traditionally patriarchal society yielding to the democratic spirit of the Arab Spring. Instead, the hundreds of thousands of women who contributed so much to the downfall of President Hosni Mubarak find themselves marginalised, if not ignored.

Commentators have made much of the 40% of seats won by the Freedom and Justice party of the Muslim Brotherhood in parliamentary elections earlier this year. Some have suggested that Egypt has replaced a western-backed, secular dictatorship with an Islamic version, but for others the true headline figure was the paltry 12 seats for women out of a total of 498.

This translates into female representation of 2.4% compared with an already low UN world average of 19%. The 13 starting candidates in the presidential race – the run-off takes place 16-17 June – were all men.

‘The truth is that women were doing better under Mubarak,’ says Dina Shobra, a 20-year-old law student at Al-Azhar University who is out shopping in downtown Cairo. Dina, who wears a headscarf and still lives at home with her parents and four younger siblings, thinks that a combination of complacency and fear has reversed the successes of the 18-day revolution. ‘The complacency comes from conservative Egyptians who believe that a woman’s place is in the home,’ she says. ‘The fear is of the army and its oppression.'” Read more.

Flashback: Women’s Rights In Egypt: Islamist Parliament Members Introduce Several Controversial Draft Laws That Will Bring Egypt Back To Middle Ages If Passed – “Islamist Members of Parliament in Egypt are trying to deprive Egyptian women of their basic rights by introducing several controversial draft laws that, if passed, will bring Egypt back to the Middle Ages… Egypt’s National Council for Women is campaigning against the above mentioned Islamist initiatives that are targeting women rights, saying that ‘marginalizing and undermining the status of women would negatively affect the country’s human development.’” Read more.
