Nigeria: Silent Killings Of Christians Thriving In The North, ‘Door To Door, Shop To Shop, Church To Church’

The persecution that I’ve been sharing from the Muslim world is only a fraction of what is reported, and what is reported is only a fraction of what is occurring …

BY OKON BASSEY AND JOHN SHIKLAM – “National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has raised the alarm over silent and unreported killings of Christians in the North.

This however came on a day pandemonium broke out at the busy Ahmadu Bello Way in Kaduna metropolis following a bomb scare, which made residents and traders along the area scamper for safety.

Oritsejafor who called on leaders of all the blocks of CAN across the nation to organise prayers and fasting of all denominations in the country to overcome its security challenges due to the activity of the Boko Haran sect, said it was imperative for Christians to be security conscious at all times.

Consequently, he directed that June 16 of every year should be observed as a special day in the Christian calendar for prayer and fasting for the country.

The CAN President who made the call in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, during an extra-ordinary national council meeting of CAN, specifically, disclosed that a Pastor in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, contacted him complaining that the ‘killing is going on from door to door.’

‘We owe our brother in the North prayers and solidarity. How can I keep quite when my people are killed every day? We cannot fold our hands; Nigeria belongs to all of us. We believe this country will change. I got a text message by 6 a.m. yesterday (Tuesday) from a Pastor in Maiduguri, he said my President, please don’t stop praying for us, the killing is going from door to door, shop to shop, church to church.

‘But these things are no longer heard on television. Nobody talks about it. It is only when police station is burnt or bomb explosion that catches people’s attention. My President people are dying everyday, don’t stop praying for us,’ he said.

Oritsejafor, in an emotion laden voice said: ‘Prayer is the key to opening all doors and shutting the door on Boko Haram. In fact I want to say that we remember the June 16, as a special day of prayer and fasting and many more days for prayers and fasting for this country. But definitely, the June 16 is one day that we will cry to God for our great nation.'” Read more.

Flashback: ‘Bloody’: Christian Persecution is ‘Coursing Through Muslim-Majority Nations from One End of the Globe to the Other’ – “We hear so often about Muslims as victims of abuse in the West and combatants in the Arab Spring’s fight against tyranny. But, in fact, a wholly different kind of war is underway—an unrecognized battle costing thousands of lives. Christians are being killed in the Islamic world because of their religion. It is a rising genocide that ought to provoke global alarm…” Read more.

I used to pray a lot for us here and the guys around the world. I had SEVERE spiritual opposition and began to sink. I am kind of a mess right now.

These stories are sad and too common. About 2 years ago. I attempted to do a documentary about this but it wore my mind out and weighed down my heart. I saw too many gruesome images and acts, over and over, in the editing and compilation process. This is sooooooooooo common today; even though it is in Revelation and other end time books it is hard to embrace it as reality as often as it happens. (do you know that I have met some people that say bring it on????< when they aren't suffering like our brothers worldwide they say bring MORE! and then it happens to them with a 'rapture me quick' !!! What the…?) I'm in agreement with you ICA about the timing of Jesus return, it is obvious, it is in Jesus own words. We will suffer as long as we are here in this time. However, according to Daniel there will be a little help in that time too. God can bless to further his mission through human messengers (malakh) anytime he wants and promises to do it.

Question: why even joke around when saying their foundation is peace when in no way has it ever been?

John Jacob, bless you for even thinking of trying to expose this. It is wearying, I agree, but lets pray again together: God, protect your people in Nigeria! Deliver them! Expose these crimes! Let it become apparent to all the source and motives behind them! Let there be miraculous healings and conversions of Muslims in the midst of this genocide – let many see the love of Jesus. Let many have dreams about Jesus. Let them stand up and testify of YHWH’s love. Amen.

This suffering is to come to us all, YAWH’s people have always been killed mainly because of their disobedience. I think if the people of Nigeria concentrating more on their father’s will and stop the madness of their culture this would make a huge impact in it’s self.
There is way too much confusion going on in this world right now, but the bible says there is no pre-tribulation rapture. Stop chasing the Yankee dollar for a star,t how many of your own people are suffering because the country has sold it’s self out to the IMF, your country is wrecked oil spilled every where, this is not a Christian against Muslim issue or maybe it is, but the Messiah’s followers where called Nazarene’s not Christian’s they keep his law and right festivals and times, maybe this is the carnage from following the other good news which Paul spoke of one who the children of disobedience follow because the results look the same. Try schooling yourself in his holy word this will help! Islam was created by the Christians for a start so maybe start there.

I don’t even know how to respond to that. My heart aches that so many people are not turning to Christ. Our Lord say’s this will happen, “And still they will not turn from they’re wicked ways.” But lets not stray from what this is, our brother’s and sister’s are being persecuted. Thank you Kurt for your prayer. Let’s all remember to pray and pray hard and fast for our persecuted brother’s and sisters all over the world, And Father give us all your knowledge, wisdom and guidance so we may fulfill your will and instruct and help many, for time is short. Prayer is still heard and answered!

P.S. Thank you ICA for bringing this to the forefront. Too many people still have scales on their eyes and refusing to believe.
