‘Unbelievable’: Up To 100,000 Dead Fish Washing Ashore Baltimore Waterfront In Massive Die-Off

By Timothy B. Wheeler, The Baltimore Sun – “Something’s rotten on the Baltimore area waterfront. Fish are washing ashore by the thousands in a mass die-off that officials say appears to be caused by a weather-driven worsening of the pollution that chronically plagues the Chesapeake Bay.

State investigators expanded their probe Wednesday into what they believe are algae-related fish kills in Marley, Furnace and Curtis creeks in Glen Burnie, raising the estimated death toll there tenfold, while finding a new batch of finny carcasses in a Dundalk creek.

Jay Apperson, spokesman for the Maryland Department of the Environment, said the agency’s fish-kill investigators estimated anywhere from 60,000 to 100,000 fish of several species dead in the three creeks in northern Anne Arundel County. Only a day before, Apperson had said investigators figured there were about 6,000 dead.

‘You could smell it through the neighborhood,’ said Rob Rogers, 45, who took a break from work at the Point Pleasant Beach Tavern to describe what he called ‘unbelievable’ conditions on the creeks. Rogers said boaters reported dead fish floating in the water so thick they couldn’t avoid hitting them.

The state investigators also found about 300 dead fish in Bullneck Creek in eastern Baltimore County, Apperson said, where residents on Tuesday had reported seeing fish and crabs thrashing on the water’s surface in apparent distress. The investigators measured little oxygen in the creek’s deepest water for fish to breathe.

The die-offs are a drastic byproduct of algae blooms that have discolored water in much of the upper bay for over a month now, officials said.

‘We’ve been having lots of algae blooms in Middle River, in Baltimore harbor, even down on the Severn River,’ said Thomas Parham, tidewater ecosystem assessment chief for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. ‘This is earlier than normal,’ he added, and while algae blooms are a common phenomenon on the bay in spring and summer, they normally are ‘not at this level.'” Read more.

This is rather disturbing. I know there are many, many such reports lately. But this one blames algae blooms. Would that be the same algae blooms that turn the waters red? I don’t really care what explanation they use, John saw it, and it looks as though it is being fulfilled.

Yes, it turns the water a reddish-brown.

Its seems then that John foresaw the overuse of fertilizers in suburban Baltimore and Washington D.C. and their runoff into the creeks, exploding the algae population.

Miracle-Gro and Scotts Lawn Fertilizer may be expediting the apocalypse.

Waters turning to “blood” and massive fish kills in rivers and seas may remind us of the apocalypse, but John may have had something completely different in mind …

I’m glad you said that; I tend to see it that way too. Could John be hearkening back to Pharaoh and the plagues on Egypt? I.e., “End-time Pharaoh, let my people go!”

Bonjour ICA, Kurt…and where is Willard?!

Not sure this post fits here (well I’m sure it does not! Please forgive me!), but if you haven’t seen it yet, I’m sure you’ll be intereted by the link below:

I recently came across the following video from a sister called Bonnie Harvey. I sense this short video is worth watching and sharing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zI52bjXD6T4

Here is what Bonnie Harvey has to share about it:

“The signs in the sun, moon, and stars from 2011-2018 are striking – from a tetrad of blood moons to solar eclipses, from a sky similar to Yeshua’s first advent to a Transit of Venus -and all of that is just the beginning.

Any ONE of these signs is unusual. Some who are studying the stars observe that what occurred at Yom Teruah, 2011, has not happened in over 2000 years. Transits of Venus occur in pairs eight years apart every 243 years. Since the upcoming Transit is the second in the pair, no more Transits will be seen for 243 years. At first glance, blood moon tetrads (4 blood moons in a row at equal intervals, i.e., 6 months apart) occur at random.

Upon closer look, we notice that this set will be the eighth set since Yeshua walked the earth. Eight is the number of new beginnings. Is that significant? Additionally, all the tetrads have occurred on or about Feast days as if they are special messages to God’s people. Additionally, there does appear to be a pattern to the tetrads. Two have occurred 18 years apart, two 45 years, apart and two 400-500 years apart. The upcoming tetrad will be the third set since 1948. If the pattern is true, the next tetrad won’t occur for at least 400 years.

If any ONE of these heavenly signs is significant, what is the import of ALL of them occurring within an 8 year period?

This is a 15-minute presentation wherein I try to pull together much of what is occurring in a comprehensive, short presentation. I wish to thank Luis Vega, the professor/graphic artist whose timelines are incorporated herein and who so graciously makes them available.

The occurrences in the heavenlies are what they are. The bottom line is: what do they mean to the beholder? I offer that it is time to be on high alert and to seek our Redeemer as never before. The Almighty is calling from the sky”.

    Blessings, shalom & Happy Shavuot!

Thank you, very interesting and informative. And I do know that we are approaching all of these signs like a snowball rolling down hill. I’m just not sure that we have as much time left. We’ll just have to wait and see. I am increasing my prayers for everyone who is riding the fence, so they will come to Christ before it’s too late.

Something else that has always raised a question for me is – when Israel went into its 70 year captivity in 606 BC until Jerusalem was destroyed in 587 BC was 19 years than 51 years later in 536 BC it was freed by the Cyrus decree after fulfilling its 70 years of captivity.

Likewise it was reversed but same length of time frames and has returned in 1948 first to the land of Israel and than Judah 19 years later in 1967 they once again have Jerusalem in their hands – is this possibly also a sign of what we should expect to see in the future 51 years from 1967 – Just thinking out loud here.

      Bonsoir Willard,

      Interesing comment, thank you.

In terms of timing, bonnie’s understanding is very interesting (ie: crucial years happening after the bookends, and the blood moons heralding important events in 2012, 2016 and a possible return in 2019). I had not heard this scenario before, and I must admit that it makes sense. Future will sure tell! (The only reserve I would have is that if 2016-17 is a Jubilee year, like many people think it is, then Yeshua would be a couple of years late!)

In this video’s scenario, the start of the great tribulation would be Passover 2016 (the middle of the last week). I do not know if you are aware of an Hebraic rots teacher by the name of Monte Judah?
He firmly believes and teaches that the great tribulation will start next Passover in 2013. He sees this date as the start of the “greater exodus”. I personally do not subscribe to his understanding and scenario. We know from Scripture that the great tribulation will start when the Antichrist takes over Jerusalem, where he will reign for 3,5 years. I may be wrong, but I do not see this happening within such a short time frame. Now, 4 years down the road (2016) seems a lot more plausible and realistic, especially at the space of how things are moving in the worldwide scene, and especially in the Middle East today.

Important events this year could well be:

1- the start of another regional war in the Middle-East, with Israel striking Iran.
=>In view of what is happening on the political scene in Israel, this is something very possible. Israel could decide to strike Iran before the next US elections in November?

2- the collapse of several economies.
=> With what is happening on the European scene right now, it looks more and more likely Greece will exit the euro zone (next election in Greece mid June will be crucial). This would be a terrible thing for the European economy and the start of other countries following Greece’s tail (Spain, Portugal, Italy and France could be the following ones, according to some experts. And I should add, with Hollande on board now we’re heading directly to the wall!). The impact of Greece’s departure and/or any other countries from the euro zone will have serious repercussions all around the world, including on the dollar (Al Lindsey, whom you may be familiar with, has been predicting that the US dollar will be dead by the end of 2012). So in short, we could see an economical crisis much worse than the 2008 one.

If one of the above scenario (or both) takes place in 2012, then it will definitely have a huge impact on the world as we know it and would come to confirm Bonnie’s understanding (2012 being a crucial year happening after the first bookend).

We live in very exciting time!!! Let’s see what the rest of 2012 will be. It looks like the first 6 months of the year are preparing for the unfolding of the last 6 months!

May Abba give us spiritual understanding of the times we live in. May we prepare and equip ourselves for what is to come. May we be obedient and efficient soldiers!

Have a nice and blessed double Shabbat! Hag Sameach Shavuot!

      François-Xavier!

I haven’t watched the video yet, so can’t comment on that. But, Willard, your idea is one that I have pondered for many years. In the beginning of Daniel 9, Daniel says he had calculated that there would be 70 years until the completion or fulfillment of the desolations of Jerusalem. Now, I know this refers to the freedom from Babylonian captivity in the immediate context. But, what if it also has a future fulfillment? The language regarding the desolations of Jerusalem is repeated at the end of Daniel 9 in vs. 26-27, which has to do with the end of the age. Could there be another 70 year period at the end of the age that will “complete the desolations of Jerusalem”? Since stumbling on this idea, I haven’t been able to shake the feeling that 2011-2018 would be very significant prophetically.

Now, off to watch that video – I have definitely been watching those signs in the heavens for the past year!

AHF and FX – Good video thanks for sharing it – I agree with the both of your comments I truely feel within the next few years we will see Christ – I too am watching the fall feasts in 2015 for some major prophecy to be fulfilled or the beginning of the final

Along with the blood red moons there are many other signs coming to completion around that window of time

I watched the video. The eclipses falling when they do sure seems to have a divine meaning. One conclusion the speaker makes is that she thinks ‘zero’ year begins in 2012, after the eclipses beginning in 2011, in order to have years 1-7 align with 2013-2019; if the significant eclipses are 2011-2018, whey wouldn’t year 1 start in 2012? I missed her rationale on that one.

She also identifies each Yom Teruah starting in 2013 with the 7 trumpets of Revelation, 1 each year, culminating in the 7th and last trumpet on Yom Teruah 2019. Laying aside the fact that I don’t believe there’s a gap in the 70 weeks with a final 7 year Tribulation, it seems a rather banal interpretation to have the 7 trumpets occur on a yearly basis on Rosh Hashanah, although I have to admit its the first time I’ve ran across that view.

O.K. Watched it. There were actually many other signs on the feast days last year – like a super Draconid meteor shower on Yom Kippur and the sun between the horns of Taurus on Shavuot. I also don’t quite follow her line of logic in designating 2012 as the year this all begins – seems to me like the signs began last year and 2011-2018 are a better fit.

I am still open to the idea that there may be a final 7 year period, with the final 3 1/2 years being the Great Trib. So, the thought that the trumpets of Rev. may be on consecutive Yom Teruahs during the final 7 year period is at least worth considering. However, the first of the tetrad eclipses is on Passover 2014 and the final is on Tabernacles 2015 – perfect bookends for a 3 1/2 year period. The fact that the tetrad occurs over a 3 1/2 year period, beginning on Passover (AofD?) and ending on Tabernacles (Christ taking his throne in Jerusalem?) is also an idea I can’t shake.

I agree that there is so much to watch, and too many signs taking place on feast days to ignore. The heavens ARE declaring the glory of God and shouting His warnings to all who will “consent” as she said. Such amazing times to be alive.
