Former Danish Church Minister: Islam Is A Direct Enemy Of Christianity

And, in light of the recent news that 16 churches are being closed due to lack of attendance, he’s therefore against them being used by Muslims and converted into mosques. Kinda puts a new spin on ‘standing in the holy place‘ …

By Nicolai Sennels, via Jihad Watch – “Former Church Minister Birthe Rønn Hornbech (Liberal Conservative) also participated in the debate about the future of the closed-down churches. She completely rejects the possibility that the churches can be taken over by Muslims.

‘I am against Christian churches being used by a religion that is a direct enemy of Christianity, which Islam is. Although not necessarily applicable to Danish Muslims, Islam is an enemy of Christianity,’ Rønn Hornbech wrote in an email yesterday to Berlingske News Agency.

The current church minister Manu Sareen (R) is more cautious in his wording on the future use of the churches. However, he asks for consideration:

‘I do not have a specific opinion about what a church can or should be used for when it is shut down. But there are many emotions attached to the churches, and it seems to be the general view in the public that a church should not be used for anything that is in strong contradiction with what it was used for in the past,’ Sareen wrote in an email to Jyllands-Posten.” Read more (Danish).
