South Africa: Experts Puzzled After Scores of Dead Fish Found Littering Ocean Floor Near uShaka Beach in Durban

IOL News – “Fish experts have been unable to shed light on why scores of dead fish were seen in the sea near uShaka beach in Durban earlier this week.

Divers Selwyn Rautenbach and Carl Stow said they came across 20 to 30 dead fish, mainly shad, lying on the ocean floor, about 50m offshore, on Wednesday.

‘We were going to dive at the wreck of the Ovington Court, but we didn’t stay in very long because the sea was dirty and smelly.

‘The dead fish were lying in more or less a straight line, with their mouths and gills open. There were probably many more further along the backline, maybe a couple of hundred, but we cancelled our swim,’ said Rautenbach.

Stow said he did not think the dead fish had been dumped by fishermen as there were no visible hook marks or other wounds.

Sean Fennessy, a fish scientist at the Oceanographic Research Institute in Durban, said he had not received similar reports from other residents and it was difficult to speculate on what might have killed the fish.” Read more.

By Yagnesh Mehta, TNN – “SURAT: More than 70 dead jellyfish were spotted on Tithal beach of Valsad on Wednesday. This has created a lot of curiosity among locals. The cause of their death is still not known.

Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) officials believe that it is first of its kind incident at Tithal. The fish were spread across 1 km square area on the beach. Locals said dead fish were being washed ashore for the past 15 days.

‘I was surprised when I saw the creature on beach for the first time. It is first incident of dead fish being washed ashore. We were shocked to see dead jellyfish,’ said Harish Patel, another local resident.” Read more.

Egypt: Former Mubarak Intelligence Chief Warns Against War with Israel if Brotherhood Wins Presidential Election

04/16/2012 Leave a comment

There’s a very good reason why the Muslim Brotherhood was banned under Hosni Mubarak. Just don’t remind the current US administration. Reality would jolt President Obama out of a willingly blissful slumber …

By Elad Benari, INN – “A day after he was barred from the Egyptian presidential race, the country’s former intelligence chief warned Sunday against a win by the extreme Muslim Brotherhood.

Former intelligence chief Omar Suleiman, who was appointed by ex-President Hosni Mubarak as vice president in the dying days of his administration, was one of ten candidates who were barred from running in the May election on Saturday.

The Presidential Elections Commission (PEC) excluded Suleiman allegedly on the basis of the geographical distribution of the signatures on his candidacy registration, according to the daily Al-Masry Al-Youm.

The regulations call for a candidate’s application to include a minimum of 1,000 signatures from 15 separate governorates in order to qualify for the race.

On Sunday, according to a report on IDF Radio, Suleiman expressed his fear that Israel will have to invade the Sinai Peninsula if the Muslim Brotherhood ends up winning the presidential election.

The report cited an interview Suleiman gave to an Egyptian newspaper and in which he said, ‘I fear that incorrect judgments will push us into confrontations with Israel. The Sinai may become an area from which rockets are fired into Israel and the parties may be drawn into war.'” Read more.

Flashback: Grad Rocket Fired From Egypt Hits Israeli City of Eilat, Netanyahu Says Israel Will Not Hesitate to Strike Those Who Seek to Harm Its Citizens – “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to recent rocket fire on Eilat from Sinai saying Israel’s security establishment was ‘well aware of the fact that Sinai is turning into a rocket launching pad for terrorists. ‘We are building a fence. It can’t stop missiles but we will find a solution for that. We will strike those who aim to harm us,’ he said Thursday.” Read more.

Flashback: Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood Holds Venomous Anti-Israel Rally, Vows to ‘One Day Kill All Jews’ – “Arab hate: A Muslim Brotherhood rally in Cairo’s most prominent mosque Friday turned into a venomous anti-Israel protest, with attendants vowing to ‘one day kill all Jews.’ Some 5,000 people joined the rally, called to promote the ‘battle against Jerusalem’s Judaization.’ The event coincided with the anniversary of the United Nations’ partition plan in 1947, which called for the establishment of a Jewish state… Speakers at the event delivered impassioned, hateful speeches against Israel, slamming the ‘Zionist occupiers’ and the ‘treacherous Jews.’” Read more.

Flashback: ‘Egypt will never be the friend, partner or ally of the Zionist entity which we consider as the first enemy of Egypt’ – “It’s amazing what ‘freedom’ has brought to Egypt. Rejecting $1 billion in US aid would almost be laughable, if the possible implications were not so serious. Last month the Muslim Brotherhood had apparently come to the conclusion that it was Halal to extort the United States by threatening, for all intents and purposes, to wage war against Israel if America cut off aid to Egypt. Now they’re threatening to reject it all together, and all this while making it loud and clear that Egypt will ‘never be the friend, partner or ally of the Zionist entity’, even moving to halt all gas exports to ‘the first enemy of Egypt’. It almost seems to me like the Islamists are itching for that war after all.” Read more.

‘One World… One Way… One God’: Islamic Conference Concludes Islam is the Key to Peace

04/16/2012 1 comment

What a shocker. The Dubai International Peace Convention pulls a Joe Biden and concludes that the global problem of Islamic terrorism can only be solved … with more Islam. Yes, while humming John Lennon and dreaming of freedom, please be advised that only the teachings of the whoever-changes-his-Islamic-religion-then-kill-him prophet of the “religion of peace” is the only way to truly give peace a chance. What the conference doesn’t outright tell you, of course, is that this “peace” can only be achieved when the world is “cleansed” of Jews and Christians, and all then submit to the rule of Islam …

Qur’an Sura 8:12b, “… terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur’an.”

Qur’an Sura 3:85, “And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers [in hell].”

Qur’an Sura 4:89, “Have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them.”

By Ahmed Shaaban – “Concluding three days of lectures and activities, the second edition of the Dubai International Peace Convention affirmed that Islam is the key to peace much sought after these days.

Altogether 150,000 people of different nationalities and religions attended the 16 lectures delivered by 12 scholars and spiritual gurus during the event.

The world congress, held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, is aimed to create a climate of intellectual cooperation and share the teachings of Islam in order to guide the world towards peace.

Dr Hamad Al Shaibani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for World Peace, said the convention has been a wonderful platform for leading thinkers in the Muslim world to come together. ‘They have had a massive impact in raising awareness of our main objective, and we are delighted to have brought together different races and religions under one roof to create an interactive environment that perpetuates our vision of peace.’

Brotherhood in Islam’, the ‘status of women in Islam’, ‘Muhammad (PBUH) — the ambassador of peace’, ‘One world… One way… One God’, ‘action plan to achieve world peace’, the ‘role model for peace’, ‘how to build a peaceful family’, ‘the solutions for global crisis’, ‘peace in the light of the Holy Quran’, and ‘Peaceful coexistence… myth or reality’ were some of the issues spotlighted during the convention.” Read more.

Ezekiel 13:10-11, “Because they lead my people astray, saying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash, therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth.”

‘Moment of Truth is Near’: Israeli TV Report Shows Air Force Gearing Up For Iran Attack

04/16/2012 Leave a comment

By Greg Tepper, The Times of Israel – “A major Israel TV station on Sunday night broadcast a detailed report on how Israel will go about attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities in the event that diplomacy and sanctions fail and Israel decides to carry out a military strike.

The report, screened on the main evening news of Channel 10, was remarkable both in terms of the access granted to the reporter, who said he had spent weeks with the pilots and other personnel he interviewed, and in the fact that his assessments on a strike were cleared by the military censor.

No order to strike is likely to be given before the P5+1 talks with Iran resume in May, the reporter, Alon Ben-David, said. ‘But the coming summer will not only be hot but tense.’

In the event that negotiations fail and the order is given for Israel to carry out an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, ‘dozens if not more planes’ will take part in the mission: attack and escort jets, tankers for mid-air refueling, electronic warfare planes and rescue helicopters, the report said.

Ben-David said the Israel Air Force ‘does not have the capacity to destroy the entire Iranian program.’ There will be no replication of the decisive strikes on Iraq’s Osirak reactor in 1981 or on Syria in 2007, he said. ‘The result won’t be definitive.’ But, a pilot quoted in the report said, the IAF will have to ensure that it emerges with the necessary result, with ‘a short and professional’ assault.

Ben-David said that if negotiations break down, and Iran moves key parts of its nuclear program underground to its Qom facility, the IAF ‘is likely to get the order and to set out on the long journey to Iran.’

‘Years of preparations are likely to come to realization,’ he said, adding that ‘the moment of truth is near.'” Read more.

Nigeria: Three Injured After Suspected Islamists Detonate Bomb in Christian Neighborhood of Sabon Gari, Kano

04/16/2012 Leave a comment

AP – “KANO, Nigeria – Witnesses say three people were injured following a bomb attack in a north Nigeria city that was the scene of a massive assault by a radical Islamist sect in January.

The attack happened Sunday night in a Christian neighborhood of Kano, the largest city in Nigeria’s Muslim north.

A military spokesman said the attack caused no injuries, but local witnesses said three people were wounded.

The bomb apparently was hidden inside of a drinking can. A January attack by members of the Boko Haram sect saw gunmen throw similar explosives.

That January attack killed at least 185 people.

Boko Haram is waging an increasingly bloody fight against Nigeria’s weak central government in its effort to enact strict Shariah law across the multiethnic nation of more than 160 million people and free its imprisoned members.” Source – FOX News.
