Mysterious Tortilla Chip-Shaped UFO is Spotted Again

Don’t be surprised if al-Shabaab and other Islamist organizations soon issue a fatwa against the forbidden three-sided “Dudley Dorito.” Heaven forbid if a fellow Muslim should ever be reminded that another faith exists outside of Islam …

“The mysterious ‘Dudley Dorito’ UFO has been spotted for the fourth time in five years flying through a cloudless sky over woodland in Yorkshire.

The object, which looks like an extra-terrestrial tortilla chip, was captured by an amateur cameraman who posted the footage on YouTube.

He can be heard saying ‘I don’t know what that is’ as the triangular aircraft glides silently across the frame above a forest in the north of England.

The UFO was dubbed the Dudley Dorito after its first sighting over the Midlands in 2007 but it is unclear whether the YouTube footage is real or a hoax.

Eye-witnesses first saw the black triangle hovering over Halesowen and they reported the close encounter to UFORM, a local group of UFO-spotters.

Then in 2010 David Allan from Sutton Coldfield reported seeing a triangular object four or five times bigger than an aeroplane in the skies on Bonfire Night.

A few weeks after that 21-year-old quality inspector Minuesh Mistry saw the Dudley Dorito hovering above his home in Tipton in the West Midlands.” Read more.

Video: Gigantic Solar Tornado Is 5 Times the Size of Earth

By Adam Mann – “This enormous tornado erupting from the surface of the sun is big enough to swallow the Earth. In fact, it could swallow five Earths.

Discovered using NASA’s Solar Dynamic Observatory satellite, this colossal twisting mass is made up of superheated gas at a temperature of between 90,000 and 3.6 million degrees Fahrenheit.

Over the course of three hours, this behemoth reached up from the sun’s surface to a height of 125,000 miles, or roughly half the distance between the Earth and the moon. The hot gases were whipped up to nearly 186,000 miles per hour. In comparison, the wind speed of terrestrial tornadoes generally reaches a paltry 100 miles per hour.

Scientists have previously seen smaller solar tornadoes with other sun-observing satellites but this one — spotted in September 2011 — is thought to be the first one ever filmed (left). Since then, researchers have seen at least one more solar tornado, an Earth-sized twister seen in the video below.” Read more.

Japan: Probe Finds High Radiation Levels at Fukushima Plant, Damage So Severe That New Technology Needed to Decommission Plant

“Tokyo:  One of Japan’s crippled nuclear reactors still has fatally high radiation levels and much less water to cool it than officials had estimated, according to an internal examination that renews doubts about the plant’s stability.

A tool equipped with a tiny video camera, a thermometer, a dosimeter and a water gauge was used to assess damage inside the No. 2 reactor’s containment chamber for the second time since the tsunami swept into the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant a year ago.

The data collected Tuesday showed the damage from the disaster is so severe, the plant operator will have to develop special equipment and technology to tolerate the harsh environment and decommission the plant, a process expected to last decades.

The other two reactors that had meltdowns could be in even worse shape. The No. 2 reactor is the only one officials have been able to closely examine so far.

Tuesday’s examination with an industrial endoscope detected radiation levels up to 10 times the fatal dose inside the chamber. Plant officials previously said more than half of the melted fuel has breached the core and dropped to the floor of the primary containment vessel, some of it splashing against the wall or the floor.

Particles from melted fuel have probably sent radiation levels up to a dangerously high 70 sieverts per hour inside the container, said Junichi Matsumoto, spokesman for Tokyo Electric Power Co. The figure far exceeds the highest level previously detected, 10 sieverts per hour, which was detected around an exhaust duct shared by No. 1 and 2 units last year.” Read more.

Radiation levels at Fukushima can kill in minutes – “A lethal level of radiation has been detected inside one of the reactors at the Fukushima nuclear power plant, throwing fresh doubts over the operator’s claims that the disabled complex is under control. Engineers for Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco) say readings of airborne radiation inside the containment vessel of Reactor 2 showed nearly 73 sieverts per hour this week, the highest since the crisis began following the earthquake and tsunami on 11 March last year. Exposure to radiation at that level is deadly within minutes, according to Japan’s public broadcaster, NHK.” Read more.

If the president of the Islamic Society of Toronto condemns the Islamic “marriage guide” by saying that it “should never have entered Canada”, then what about the Qur’an and Hadith, the two “holy” Muslim books upon which the Islamic “marriage guide” is based? …

Qur’an Sura 4:34b, “… those [women] on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.”

Qur’an Sura 38:44, “And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with it, and do not break your oath …”

Hadith – Abu Dawud, 2142, “The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: A man will not be asked as to why he beat his wife.”

By Madeleine Morgenstern – “A bookstore in Canada has sold out of an Islamic marriage guide that instructs Muslim men on how to beat their wives, according to the Toronto Sun.

Among the advice dispensed in ‘A Gift for the Muslim Couple’ is to ‘beat by hand or stick’ and ‘pull [her] by the ears.’ The husband may also withhold money to exert control, though should ‘refrain from beating her excessively.’

The 160-page book’s description says it ‘deals with the subject of marriage and after marriage relationship, as well as the various pitfalls of marriage, causes of breakdown and their causes.’ It was being sold at Islamic Books and Souvenirs in Toronto. The store’s manager told the Toronto Sun it had been sold out for some time. The owner refused to comment to the newspaper.

‘[I]t might be necessary to restrain her with strength or even to threaten her,’ writes author Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi, described as a ‘prolific writer on almost every topic of Islamic learning.’

The book lists the husband’s supposed rights, which say the wife is unable to leave ‘his house without his permission,’ and that she must ‘fulfill his desires’ and ‘not allow herself to be untidy…but should beautify herself for him.’

Thanvi also writes that ‘the husband should treat the wife with kindness and love, even if she tends to be stupid and slow

Al Qaeda’s Network in Iran

BY BENJAMIN WEINTHAL AND THOMAS JOSCELYN – “An al Qaeda cell slated to take part in one of the final plots ordered by Osama bin Laden made use of an Iran-based terror network that, according to the Obama administration, operates ‘under an agreement between al Qaeda and the Iranian government.’ That revelation has emerged from legal proceedings in Germany, including the trial of Ahmad Wali Siddiqui, an al Qaeda recruit who took the stand for the first time last week in Koblenz.

We observed two days of Siddiqui’s testimony. Thus far, prosecutors have allowed the gregarious defendant to do most of the talking. Cleanshaven, he has sought to present a sharply different demeanor than the one he displayed as a bearded jihadist in propaganda films shown to the court. Still, his disturbing narrative provided an extraordinary window into the inner workings of al Qaeda and allied organizations.

The alleged terror recruit, with dual German and Afghan citizenship, has discussed the time he and his fellow plotters spent at the same mosque attended by al Qaeda’s 9/11 Hamburg cell, as well as his own transformation into a violent jihadist. ‘We wanted to fight .  .  . against Americans,’ Siddiqui told the court. Wiretapped conversations played by prosecutors have provided additional insight into Siddiqui’s extremist worldview. During one telephone call to his mother he explained the difference between living in the West and living, as he was then, among the believers: ‘Life in Germany is not good. You live with gays, lesbians, and Jews. Islam rules here.’

Siddiqui initially joined the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU), a terrorist organization closely allied with al Qaeda, in northern Pakistan. He quickly migrated to al Qaeda itself.

According to the indictment, senior terrorists decided to send Siddiqui back to Germany to take part in a potentially devastating attack intended ‘to weaken Europe’s economy.’ In the fall of 2010, Western intelligence officials learned that Osama bin Laden had ordered attacks in several cities that were supposed to mirror the November 2008 siege of Mumbai. After Siddiqui was captured in Afghanistan, he revealed the nascent plot.” Read more.

Nigeria Forecasts Famine in Islamist Boko Haram Areas in 2012

Revelation 6:8, “And I saw, and behold, a pale horse, and its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed him; and they were given power over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.”

The alert was given by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the country’s equivalent of Italy’s Disaster Relief Agency, in its 2012 ‘Report on Boko Haram Insurgency and Disasters in the North East’. ‘Nigeria may face famine by the end of this year, because most of the small-scale farmers and big-time farmers in the north are threatened by the Boko Haram attacks’, the report reads referring to the Islamist militant group whose attacks have left at least 1,200 people dead since 2009. According to NEMA, over the past three years ‘more than 65% of such farmers have already migrated to the southern parts of Nigeria, fearing that the insecurity to both lives and property, including their farmlands and livestock’. Productions of rice, beans, corn and onions have been the worst hit, but fishing in the Lake Chad area, one of the few options local populations have to integrate and vary their diet, was also affected. On the occasion of the presentation of this report, NEMA senior officials said they had been urged by Nigerian security forces to prepare, a humanitarian plan, working in coordination with the United Nations, in order not to be caught off-guard if the forecast turns out to be accurate.” Source – AGI.

Lloyd Newson, the director of the DV8 physical theatre company which staged the new work, challenged Thompson to screen his production during a platform discussion at the theatre.

He pointed out that Jerry Springer: The Opera was a lot more controversial because it was a ‘satire’, whereas his work, consisting of a series of comments and factual statements set to dance, is ‘a factual piece’.

Thompson’s spokesman tells me: ‘We are currently working with the National on various ideas. There are currently no plans to broadcast Can We Talk About This?, but this is not due to the play’s content or themes.'” Read more.

UK: Muslim Community Vilifies Mother After She Reports Local Imam To Police For Molesting Her Two Young Sons

Moral of the story? Some members of the Muslim community must believe that it is perfectly ok to sexually assault young children …

“AN IMAM who sexually assaulted two boys has been jailed for three years.

Yazeid Osama Aqqad, 24, of Alfreton Road, Radford, touched one boy when he was sitting on his lap on two occasions and abused another boy after inviting him to sit on his lap.

The mother of the two boys has been ‘vilified’ by the Muslim community for reporting the assaults, Nottingham Crown Court heard.

She has been subjected to ‘a number of unpleasant incidents’ including an episode at her home and damage to her car, Sarah Knight, prosecuting, said.

The mother told the court she felt the acts were aimed at encouraging her to withdraw the allegations because in the eyes of the Muslim community, she had committed a sin.

Aqqad denied the offences during his trial, but was found guilty unanimously of three allegations of sexual assault on a male child under the age of 13 years.

Judge Andrew Hamilton disqualified him from working with children and ordered him to sign the sex offenders’ register for life.

Muslim leaders in Nottingham who were contacted by the Post condemned Aqqad’s actions and said the mother was absolutely right to report him.

Councillor Mohammed Ibrahim, who represents Berridge ward on the city council said: ‘There are people in every community who break laws and if someone is found to have broken the law, they should be punished.'” Source – This Is Nottingham.

France: French School Targeted by Muslim Gunman Receiving Hate Mail Since Being Attacked

“The French Jewish school where a gunman killed three children and a teacher this month has been receiving hate mail since the attack.

French authorities said Wednesday they had launched an investigation to determine the source of the threatening mail, after receiving complaints from administrators at the school in the southern city of Toulouse.

The school attack and shootings that also killed three French soldiers in the Toulouse region earlier this month were carried out by Mohamed Merah, a Frenchman of Algerian origin who authorities say claimed to have ties to al-Qaida. He died in a gunbattle with police.

In another incident, teenagers reciting anti-Semitic slogans beat a 12-year-old Jewish boy outside his school in Paris on Monday. The boy’s school and the school where the Toulouse attack occurred are both part of the Ozar Hatorah network of Jewish schools.

France is home to at least a half-million Jews, who represent Europe’s largest Jewish community.” Read more.

The Incarnation, Crucifixion, and Resurrection – Is There Anything Else Islam Can Deny About Jesus?

I recently came across this website (www.ilovemuhammad.com) as I was doing a web search on the Muslim views of Jesus (see http://ilovemuhammed.com/questions/86-what-does-islam-say-about-jesus-pbuh).  The highlights of my entry page were intriguing:

What do Muslims believe about Jesus [pbuh]?

Answer: Muslims revere, respect, and love Jesus. … No Muslim can be a Muslim if he/she rejects Jesus, it is a fundamental of faith for the Muslim to believe in Jesus,…  The Quran tells us a lot about Jesus, who he was, his miracles, and his mission.

How can a site named “ilovemuhammad,” state, “No Muslim can be a Muslim if he/she rejects Jesus, it is a fundamental of faith for the Muslim to believe in Jesus”?  It is one thing for a Muslim to state that “Jesus is only a prophet [and not the Son of God],” and quite another to state, ”No Muslim can be a Muslim if he/she rejects Jesus…”

As I reflect on what I call the ”dressed-down” version of Jesus that Islam has concocted, the above statement seemed to make sense after all. In a future post, I will discuss Muslim eschatology regarding the return of Jesus. Islamic end-time prophecy includes the descent of Jesus from heaven, along with his declaration that Islam is the one, true, religion, and Christianity is a fabrication by Jesus’ left-behind, over-zealous disciples!  But that topic will have to await another post; for now, we will look at Islam’s “dressed down” version of the crucified, risen, Lord Jesus.

We begin with a summary of what the Bible says about Jesus Christ.  I will call them the “essentials” of Jesus; however, it is not my purpose to write a theological treatise on Jesus; most of those reading this post will be quite familiar with the essentials that I will summarize. I will provide Biblical support for my conclusions, but my primary point in this post is to address what Islam views about Jesus.  Nevertheless, how can you recognize the counterfeit unless you first know what the original looks like?

Palm Sunday – Why Wave the Palms?

We handed them out as people left church thatPalm Sunday– the Branches, that is; long, narrow, Palm Branches.

I had just finished preaching from John 12:12-19, a text familiar to most Christians. The text paints the picture of an expectant and exuberant crowd, most of them waving Palm Branches, as Jesus enters Jerusalem seated upon a donkey; a glorious celebration, no doubt.  As my congregants left that Sunday morning, I remember crying out,  “Wave your branches high,” as if the higher they were held the more “real” Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem was.  But my cry was to little avail.  As I reflect now, my congregants were more interested in waving good-by to one another than in waving Palm Branches. The Palms seemed like an after-thought, almost like a party-favor for attending church that day.  But that was then, and now is now. Since then, I have learned about the plight of “dhimmis,” and what it meant when the Palm Branches were taken out of the their hands so many years ago. It is my prayer that a little history will make this Palm Sunday one you will never forget.

Islam swarmed the Christian Middle East in the 7th century A.D. much like an infestation of locusts engorging the countryside.  The Christian Byzantine Empire was in control of most of the region at that time, having eventually become the religion of the land after Roman Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity in 312 A.D.  Historian Ira Lapidus describes the Arabian conquest as follows (see Ira M. Lapidus, A History of Islamic Societies 2nd Edition, p. 32):

In the wake of the battle of Ajnadayn, the Arabs moved against the Byzantine province of Syria. They took Damascus in 636. Baalbek, Homs, and Hama soon surrendered. The rest of the province, however, continued to resist. Only in 638 was Jerusalem taken. Caesarea fell in 640. Finally, in 641, the Arabs took the northern Syrian and Mesopotamian towns of Harran, Edessa, and Nasibin. … The next Byzantine province to fall to the Arabs was Egypt [in 641].

Wisconsin: Stronger Booms Heard in Clintonville

“CLINTONVILLE – The booming and shaking continues in Clintonville.

Clintonville police say they received about 65 calls Tuesday night, from people reporting three or four loud booms. Officials say the calls came in from 10:35 until 11:40 p.m.

Authorities say the reports came from the same part of the city that has been experiencing the booms for more than a week, but there were also some reports farther west, including Clinton Avenue. Several callers told police that these booms were stronger than those from last week, but no damage has been reported.

City officials have been in contact with the U.S. Geological Survey about the latest booms. City Administrator Lisa Kuss says she called them last night when the booms were reported, she says she plans to touch base with them again Wednesday morning.

Kuss is reminding Clintonville residents to stay patient during this time.
