Jesus – Savior or Prophet? It Matters!
By Jack Smith
Suppose you knew where it was, but you knew you would never have it; and, suppose you knew that others would. Would you help them along? Would you tell them about it, or would you keep it to yourself? Would you hide it from them, or even lie about the treasure itself? After all, if you can’t have it, why should they?
The Treasure is Jesus Christ. The one who will never know Him is the Prince of Darkness; and, he has decided to keep as many people away from the Treasure as he possibly can. Islam is one of his methods of doing so.
1 John 2:1-2 states, “My little children, I am writing these things to you that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.” The word “propitiation” is translated from the Greek word, “hilasmos,” meaning, “. . . the ‘propitiation’ affected by the sacrificial death of Christ on the cross, whose atoning work eradicated the sin of human beings and appeased the wrath of God.” (Quoting, Stephen D. Renn, Expository Dictionary of Bible Words: Word Studies for Key English Bible Words Based on the Hebrew and Greek Texts, (Peabody, MA: Hendrickson Pub., 2005), s.v. “PROPITIATION,” WORDsearch CROSS e-book.). Thus, the death of Jesus Christ, the sinless, perfect, eternal, Lamb of God, provides the platform whereby forgiveness is offered to every human being on the face of the earth. His death ”propitiates” or satisfies the requirements of a holy and just God who cannot ignore sin, but provides the Lamb of sacrifice, Himself, and thereby satisfies the standards of righteousness He has placed upon Himself. Forgiveness is guaranteed by God, not because God is merciful, compassionate, and loving (although He is all of these things), but because Jesus has “purchased” salvation for the entire world (Galatians 3:13, 1 Peter 1:18). Salvation is a gift that must be “claimed”; one that must be Read more…
Powerful 7.3 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes of Western Indonesia, Tsunami Warning Issued
Update: Tsunami warning has been lifted …
Richter Magnitude 7.3 – OFF THE WEST COAST OF NORTHERN SUMATRA
Time: Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 12:37:01 AM at epicenter
Location: 2.396°N, 93.175°E
Depth: 29.1 km (18.1 miles)
Associated Press – “A powerful earthquake has hit waters of western Indonesia, prompting local officials to issue a tsunami warning.
The U.S. Geological survey said the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 7.3 and struck 260 miles (420 kilometers) off the coast of Aceh province.
It was centered 18 miles (30 kilometers) beneath the ocean floor.
Arief Akhir, an official with Indonesia’s geological agency, said a tsunami warning has been issued.
Indonesia is prone to seismic upheaval due to its location on the Pacific ‘Ring of Fire,’ an arc of volcanos and fault lines encircling the Pacific Basin.
A giant quake off the country on Dec. 26, 2004, triggered a tsunami in the Indian Ocean that killed 230,000 people, half of them in Aceh.” Read more.
Australia: Locals Refuse to Swim in ‘Putrid’ Bayside Beaches After Dead Fish Found Near Shore
By Marnie Reid – “LOCALS are refusing to swim in murky Bayside beaches because of dead fish floating near the shore.
Dendy Iceberger John Fisher said the water was ‘oily, dirty, smelly and had dead fish in it’.
He and other Icebergers have stopped swimming at Bayside beaches because the water is ‘too putrid’.
‘It smells, it’s got an oily feel to it and you can’t see the end of your fingers when they are in the water,’ Mr Fisher said.
‘The dead fish was just the icing that capped it all off.’
Mr Fisher said dead fish had been spotted at Dendy St beach, Brighton Beach and Half Moon Bay.
The Brighton resident said it was very worrying and he did not believe it was safe to swim there. ‘I want an explanation of why the water is as bad as it is,’ Mr Fisher said.
‘It’s never been this bad before and I want them to make sure it doesn’t happen again.’
Environment Protection Authority Victoria spokesman Simon Frost said the EPA had received reports of dead fish over the New Year’s Eve weekend.” Read more.
India: ‘Unnatural Deaths’ of 2,000 Chickens Sets Off Bird Flu Fears in Meghalaya
“Around 2,000 poultry birds have died in the past few weeks on a farm in Meghalaya’s East Garo Hills district, fuelling fears of bird flu, even as a general alert was sounded in the area, officials said on Monday.
A government official said 2,000 chickens died an unnatural death in a government-run poultry farm at Williamnagar, the district headquarter of East Garo Hills, about 312 km west of Meghalaya’s state capital Shillong.
‘We have sent samples for laboratory tests to Bhopal-based High Security Animal Disease Laboratory for confirmation. We don’t know for sure if the poultry deaths were due to bird flu,’ Praveen Bakshi, the district magistrate, told the media.
Initially, he said the government has sent samples to a Guwahati-based Laboratory, but it did not yield any results.
‘The district administration has taken all precautionary measures and rapid response team has been geared up to take action in case the laboratory confirms bird flu,’ Bakshi said.
He said a seven kilometre radius of the area where the birds died has been kept under surveillance.
Meanwhile, the district administration and health and family welfare and veterinary officials are scheduled to meet on Tuesday to discuss on the unnatural deaths of birds at the farm.” Source – The Asian Age.
Florida: FWC Investigates Dozens of Keystone Heights Turtle Deaths
By Karen Voyles – “The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is trying to figure out what killed dozens of turtles in the Keystone Heights recently.
Commission spokeswoman Karen Parker said a resident in the Smith Lake area noticed the dead turtles and reported them over the weekend.
The turtles – many found at the end of Pinon Road – did not appear to have any signs they died of a traumatic death, Parker said.
‘It was possibly a cold stress event,’ Parker said, ‘but it is too early in the investigation to say for certain.’
State research biologists will be working to determine the cause of death, a process that could take weeks.” Source – Gainesville.com.
Japan: The Most Deadly Manmade Element in Existence — Plutonium — Made It Around the Planet After Fukushima Meltdowns
How bad is plutonium? Considering that one pound of plutonium evenly distributed into everyone’s lungs would kill every man, woman and child on Earth, I’d say it’s pretty bad. And there have been literally tons of radioactive plutonium and other radioactive elements released into the air and ocean environments since 3/11/2011 …
By Sayer Ji – “A recently published study in the Journal of Environmental Radioactivity confirms that the radioactive fallout from the Fukushima nuclear disaster reached Europe (Lithuania), and included plutonium, the most deadly manmade element (nanogram for nanogram) in existence.
According to the study’s authors the radionuclide concentrations measured indicate there was ‘long-range air mass transport from Japan across the Pacific, the North America and the Atlantic Ocean to Central Europe as indicated by modelling.’ What this means is that every region under the jet stream — which includes half of the planet north of its equator — could have been exposed to some degree of plutonium fall-out; a fact that is all the more disturbing when we consider there is no such thing as a safe level, and that the harm (on the human scale of time) does not dissipate: the half life of plutonium-239 is 24,200 years, and that of uranium-238 is 4,460,000,000 years, which is older than our planet.
In a past exposé, where we identified the likelihood of the occurrence we are now reporting on, we published Jet Stream radiation dispersion projections from Germany’s EURAD system which showed that Radioiodine-131 and Cesium-137 were within detectable concentrations thousands of miles away from Fukushima within days after the event. This was, after all, a nuclear explosion (as occurred also at Chernobyl) producing extremely small particles moving at extremely high velocity, and not a hydrogen-based conflagration, which was erroneously reported to be the case in the first days following the disaster.” Source – GreenMedInfo.com.
Reactor 4: Spent fuel pool was boiling without water after 1/1/2012 – “Following up this article about the decreasing of water level at reactor 4… The blogger woman in Minamisoma leaked information from an actual Fukushima worker. According to her post, after the earthquake of 1/1/2012, the pipe of spent fuel pool for reactor 4 was broken, the pool completely lost its water. The worker stated, Sooner or later, the truth will have to to be widely known. Believe it or not, you will only regret. Wear a mask at least. The pool was boiling without water.” Source – Fukushima Diary.
Fukushima citizens: Series of recent earthquakes are not normal quakes – “Fukushima citizens tweet that recent series of the earthquake feel different from usual ones. mainakata311: ‘I think everyone has noticed it if they live in Fukushima since 311, and paid attention to earthquakes. Suddenly, the way of shaking has changed, isn’t it ? feels like something is exploding underground, like a bomb.’ … Butyoo1488: ‘I live in Ibaraki, but my family, and people around me feel the same way too. It’s not a normal earthquake, but a short quake as if something was exploding underground. I haven’t felt that quake for 40 years. It happens everyday.’ The only reason to deny the possibility of hydrovolcanic explosion underground is because the radiation level is not spiking up after the earthquake, but I doubt if the steam comes right above the epicenter.” Read more.
