The Terrifying Truth Behind the So-Called Arab Spring

In this case, the truth will not be what sets anyone free.  Instead, the truth is becoming a stark reminder of the depths to which tyranny and suppression remain deeply embedded in the fabric of Islamic society. It is now, finally, becoming unmistakably clear to an increasing number of observers within the “mainstream” media that in the absence of a so-called secular autocrat wielding an iron fist ready to crush any and all hint of insurrection, its replacement in the aftermath of the Arab Spring is an iron fist of a different kind — a theocratic master that, although patient, is all too ready to exercise its own form of tyranny and suppression.  The only difference this time is that, with the camouflage of a “justice” and “freedom” backdrop, it doesn’t need to take it’s power by force.  It is willingly handed over by the sand of the sea

By JOHN R BRADLEY – “Stripped above the waist — save for her bright blue bra — the protester lies in a street just off Cairo’s Tahrir Square, seconds before a soldier stamps on her naked torso.

She has been dragged around by her arms and beaten by frenzied soldiers wielding metal batons, but still they won’t let her escape to safety.

This brutal scene from Egypt has sent new shockwaves around the West in the past three days, as the military regime has become ever more brutal towards pro-democracy protesters. Ten people have been killed and more than 400 wounded.

For the ‘girl in the blue bra’, as she has been dubbed by outraged bloggers across the globe, it is a gross violation of human rights — as well as contradicting conventional wisdom about Arab respect for female dignity and modesty.

For the watching world, it encapsulates the reality that Egypt is rapidly sliding back into brutal tyranny. The overthrow of President Mubarak’s despotic regime in February is already a distant memory, and hopes for a new era of freedom following the Arab Spring have turned to dust…

There has been little condemnation from the Islamist political parties, led by the Muslim Brotherhood.

That is because the Islamists, no allies of the pro-democracy movement, are playing the long game. Ultimately, what they aim to construct is a Muslim state run according to strict, fundamentalist Sharia law. And they are well on their way to that goal.

In the first round of the recent Parliamentary elections last month, they emerged as the dominant force.

In the second round, currently underway, it looks as though the Muslim Brotherhood, and the even more extreme Salafi Muslim parties, will again win around 70  per cent of the vote — compared with just over 10 per cent for the parties set up by revolutionaries.

As they march along this road towards a Muslim theocracy, the Islamists are happy for the time being to let the military establishment remain in charge.” Read more.

For those of us who had our eyes open and a touch of reality we all seen it coming – the next eventual reality will be the uniting of ten Islamic nations under one leader which will be either a Calphite or a Mahdi or one and the same

Flashback: ‘A New Cycle of Civilization’: Tunisia’s Islamists Hail Arrival of the ‘Sixth Caliphate’ – “The Islamist politician likely to become Tunisia’s first democratically elected prime minister has alarmed liberals and secularists by claiming the arrival of the ‘sixth caliphate’, a controversial term for a Muslim empire. Hamadi Jebeli, secretary-general of Ennahda, the moderate Islamist party which romped to victory in last month’s elections, told a rally in the city of Sousse: ‘My brothers, you are at a historic moment in a new cycle of civilisation, God willing. We are in sixth caliphate…” Read more.

Willard, you might have seen Reginald’s post a few days ago on the AoD, which I in principle agree with: It is the Abomination OF DESOLATION; it happens to the Jews after they reject the Messiah. It started with them rejecting Christ when he was crucified, was formalized 40 years later with the destruction of the temple and these odd occurences. To wit:

    The Signs After 30 C.E.

The signs begin to occur at the same time that the Sanhedrin was forced to move their meeting place from the Chamber of Hewn Stones in the Temple (rendered unfit due to an earthquake in 30 C.E.). That earthquake was very likely associated with Jesus’ crucifixion. See Chapter 11, “Where Was the Sanhedrin Located?” in Secrets of Golgotha, pp. 111–128.

“Forty years before the destruction of Jerusalem, the Sanhedrin was banished [from the Chamber of Hewn Stones] and sat in the Trading Station [in the Temple, but east of the Chamber].”

    • Talmud, Shabbath 15a, underlines and words in brackets are mine, See the full context at http://www.come-and-hear.com/shabbath/shabbath_15.html

This major event was accompanied by four other signs that were recognized by the rabbis (after 70 C.E.) as presaging the destruction of the Temple:

    1. The lottery of the goats on the Day of Atonement consistently came up black for the right hand of the High Priest for 40 years.

    2. A particular Menorah that was to be kept lit at all times went out every day for 40 years. Apparently nothing could keep the lamp lit.

    3. A Day of Atonement ritual from the 3rd century B.C.E. noted a particular thread turning color from red to white, or vice versa, depending on God’s apparent displeasure or approval of God’s people and leadership. For 40 years before the Temple’s destruction, the thread was consistently red.

    4. Finally the Temple doors (behind the curtain that tore in two) were opening of their own accord at night (when the people were not around). This also happened for 40 years, and relates back to the one sign mentioned by Josephus.

The abomination IS desolation. It currently occurring to Jews outside of the new covenant. I really think a lot of Mt 24 that we attribute to the END end times was really Christ elaborating on his statement that “not one stone will be left upon another”.

Jesus turned and said to them, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children. 29 For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the childless women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’ 30 Then

“‘they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!”
and to the hills, “Cover us!”’

31 For if people do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?” Luke 23

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
    Mt 24

kurt – I have not specifically studied this topic very much other than what has beeen the typical understanding which is the A/C standing in the temple 3 1/2 years before Christs return. But I find what you wrote above very interesting first time that I have heard most of it though – I will certainly think about this as it does seem to be making some sense at least up until 1967 ??

Another thought that I have been having is that this time period since 70 AD may also be a part of Jacobs trouble up until 1945 and the end of the NAZI furnaces ???? the period from 70 AD until they returned to Israel certainly was a time of tribulation between what Rome, Spain, England, Germany, the Muslims and others done to the Jewish people – again this is a line of thought I am thinking about but I also expect that they will be having some very difficult days ahead of them especially if 40,000 missiles begin to be launched their way – but I think should one WMD land in Israel both Nuclear and other high radiation weaopns will be returned

It still would not surprise me that Israel does not have the electronic ability to take control of incoming missiles and redirect them were ever they will ?? they are very far advanced in electronic warfare

I am just about to hit the road for a week of Christmas travel seeing family – Moms etc but will be checking in
