Warning! All ‘Butterball’ Turkeys Are Halal-Slaughter Certified

1 Cor 10:19-21, “Do I mean then that a sacrifice offered to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons.”

Acts 15:29, “You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.”

Revelation 2:19-20, “‘I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first. But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.”

Confirmed by a customer on BNI.  If you haven’t purchased your turkey yet for Thanksgiving, I’d recommend staying away from Butterball and call them to let them know why:

“Here’s my experience today.

I called my Publix, and asked them about the halal certification on the turkeys. Sorry to report that the two people I had on the phone, from the MEAT DEPT., had never heard of halal….

I then, went to Publix. I scoured the labels of the Butterball turkeys. No sign anywhere of halal cert.

After leaving a message with my phone number, with Joel Coleman ( VP of International Sales Bball), I have just spoken with Scott Singleton from Butterball, who directed me to LINDA COMPTON. (Phone # 919-658 -6743 ext.7940)

She was polite and explained that they had started out, shipping to the Middle East, and then decided to sell it here. I asked her why there was no indication on the package of the halal cert. She said … get this .. the USDA DOES NOT REQUIRE THAT LABELING.

I told her that I was extremely disappointed that they would, especially in America, choose to sell food that has, not only had islamic prayer said over it, but is processed by those who use cruel slaughter methods for other animals. Additionally, the fact that it is not clearly labeled, is wrong, as there as so many who would choose not to purchase and eat such food.

She assured me that she completely understood, and like Susan reported, she is counting up the calls to speak with the superiors.

Update:  Others have also confirmed this as well.  See yesterday’s post over on Fred DeRuvo’s blog.

From Butterball’s own website:

“As an international turkey provider, we have the expertise in serving different countries and different customs, and will work with you to meet any and all product needs. We have met the requirements for the following certifications: USDA Approved, Russian Approved, Halal Certified, and employ a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HAACP) food safety system with Good Manufacturing processes. From great customer service to new product innovation to the proper certifications, Butterball has the experience you need to get our great tasting turkey in your market.”

Flashback: Halal, The New Stealth Jihad – Are You Eating Food Sacrificed to Idols? – “When you bite into a delicious pizza, succulent sandwich or luscious lamb chops, are you possibly eating food that has been sacrificed to idols? An outspoken American pastor says yes, and he’s sounding the alarm for Christians to be aware of the Islamic influence he calls ‘backdoor Shariah’ now nibbling its way across the fruited plain. At issue, says Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Wash., is eating food that’s ‘halal,’ in other words ‘lawful’ or ‘permitted’ for the Muslim diet. Muslims join many Jews and some Christians in avoiding the consumption of certain animals such as pigs and birds of prey, but those of the Islamic faith also have their meat blessed in the name of their god, Allah. ’From the Christian standpoint, Allah would be an idol,’ …” Read more.

Shame on you. Allah is not an idol. It is another name for God. Stop your sick fomenting of religious hatred long enough to read. In fact the turkeys are slaughtered in the exact same manner whether it be Kosher or Halal. No prayers are said, that is left to distributors to the actual ethnic stores. Get a grip. Your attitude reflects not a Christian response, but a Christianist one. And as a Christian I highly object to your hijacking my faith for your twisted hatred.

Allah is the moon god – not the God of Creation. Allah is not the same as our God – the God Almighty who sent His son, Yeshua for our salvation.

False gods are idols. Allah is a false god. The word “Allah” means “God” in Arabic and can be a title, but if you believe that the name Allah in the Qur’an is the same God of the Bible, then you don’t know your Bible, Sherry. Show me once where the name of “Allah” is in the Old or New Testament. Show me once the name of Yahweh in the Qur’an.

Here are a few points I would encourage you to consider carefully:

    * Islam has come to mean ‘submission’. The goal of Islam is to bring the whole world into submission to Allah. The Qu’ran (Sura’s 2, 4, 5, 9 and 47) teaches that all ‘infidels’ (non-Muslims) must either convert to Islam or be killed or enslaved. The God of the Bible tells us that conversion is the work of God, therefore no-one can be forced to convert to Christianity.

    * The Qur’an says God has no son and is not a father. It rejects the Trinitarian God of the Bible. Muhammad taught that Jesus and Christians were not to be taken as friends (Sura’s 5 and 9).

    * Allah was the pagan moon god of Mohammed’s Quresh tribe represented by various idols, including a sacred stone. The God of the Bible forbids idolatry.

    * Islam teaches the creation of a Muslim empire and the use of lethal force against opponents. The God of the Bible affirms that His kingdom is not of this world and commands that Christians love those who oppose them (John 18:34 and Matthew 5:44).

*Muhammad, the founder of Islam and supposedly the last of God’s prophets, performed no miracles. Jesus Christ the true Son of God and seal of all God’s prophets performed many miracles – proving His claims to divinity. The God of the Bible performs miracles. The God of Islam is unconcerned with the human condition and has never miraculously demonstrated a loving concern for individuals.

    * Muhammad is declared a sinner in the Quran (Sura’s 9, 40 and 48). Jesus Christ was and is sinless.

    * The Quran often contradicts the Bible. It denies that Jesus was God incarnate or that he died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. Within this context alone the following verses testify that Allah cannot be the God of the Bible:

Romans 10:9: That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

1 Corinthians 12:3: Therefore I tell you that no-one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed”, and no-one can say, “Jesus is Lord”, except by the Holy Spirit.

    Read more here.

Allow me to ask you this, Sherry. Since when has exposing evil and hatred become hatred itself? Should we be silent and say nothing about abortion? Should we be silent and say nothing about murder? Should we be silent and say nothing about child molestation? Should we be silent and say nothing about false doctrines in the Church? Should we be silent and say nothing about threats against our nation and its freedoms? Should we be silent and say nothing about terrorism?

When Jesus exposed the evils and hypocrisy in the teachings and traditions of the Pharisees, was that hatred? (See Luke 11 for example). The teachings of Islam attack the very foundations upon which the Christian faith is built. Should we be silent and refrain from contending for the faith of Jesus when Islam denies the Deity of Christ and teaches that Jesus is not the Son of God because “Allah” has no son and that Jesus did not die for your sins? Islam falsely teaches that the Trinity is three gods. Should we not defend the tenets of Christianity because it would be “hateful” for us to do so? In fact, Islam teaches that to believe the basic foundational tenets of Christianity is among the worst of sins you can commit, and unless you reject Jesus as God, reject His death on the cross, reject the resurrection and instead believe in the prophet Mohammed as the “messenger of Allah”, you will be hated by Allah and will end up in an eternity of hell. Exposing the inherent hatred that exists in Islam, and exposing its persecution of Jews and Christians and all other non-Muslims as well as its desire to force the world to submit to the false god Allah, is not “hate” and it is not “hijacking” the Christian faith. It is defending the Christian faith. In 1 Thessalonians 5:21 we are instructed to test all things, and hold on to that which is good. Judging from your comment, it seems to me that you have tested nothing.

As for Halal food, yes, it is sacrificed to “Allah”, a false god and therefore an idol according to Biblical Scripture. Read more here.

Do not tolerate “that woman”, Sherry.

Does anyone here understand why God brought religion to us?

Look at the rules in every book. The lessons from every prophet. The one goal is peace among mankind. God is teaching us how to live together. All I’m seeing here is a big religion competition.

This behavior is the exact opposite of what God asks of us.

Please focus your attention on self improvement, caring for your family, and those in need.

@Zo. I have a few questions for you as well. Do muslims understand that God is not limited in His Omnipotent power and abilities? Do muslims understand that God is also Omnipresent (everywhere present)? Do muslims understand that God is so vastly Omniscient (all knowing), far and above all human ability or wisdom? Is your answer YES to all questions? Ok, so why then do your koranic “scriptures” refute and deny these attributes of God by denying the DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST????? Here’s another little tidbit that just might interest you, Zo. You can strive with all of your strength for the entire remainder of your physical life on Earth, to please God by being “religious”, and you will ultimately FAIL MISERABLY! BUT…. just one heartfelt cry for God’s forgiveness and mercy, in the NAME of Jesus Christ, will bring Him closer than the breath that you are now breathing! God’s Word clearly says, How shall they escape, if they neglect SO GREAT SALVATION??!! To answer that question, in a word, Zo–there is NO escape from God’s judgment and condemnation, IF YOU REFUSE, REJECT AND REFUTE the Only Provision which God has made available for our forgiveness and salvation. THAT SALVATION IS THE SHED BLOOD OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST–NEITHER IS THERE SALVATION IN ANY OTHER!!!!!

Zo, “Does anyone here understand why God brought religion to us?”

God did not bring religion to us. He brought us salvation.

Zo, “All I’m seeing here is a big religion competition… This behavior is the exact opposite of what God asks of us… Please focus your attention on self improvement, caring for your family, and those in need.”

Working to self-improve and care for our families and others are commandments for us to follow (Matthew 5:46-48, John 15:12), but they are not the only ones. In order to be good followers of Christ we must also work on more than just external things. As such, what you’re seeing here is not “a big religion competition” but rather lies being exposed and truth being explained. This is precisely what our Heavenly Father expects of those who are in Christ:

Ephesians 5:11, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.”

1 John 4:1-3a, 9, “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God… the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.”

The Muslim world claims to be true followers of God and to be the children of the seed of Abraham. Are they? The Muslim world claims that Mohammed was a prophet. Was he? The Muslim world essentially claims that it is the true church of God (called the “Ummah”). Is it? The Muslim world teaches that Jesus is the Messiah but that He was only a prophet who did not die on the cross for our sins. Are they correct? The Muslim world claims to have the final revelation for mankind to follow. Do they? We must test the teachings of Islam in light of Scripture. If Islam is comprised of demonstrable lies, then those lies must be exposed.

1 Corinthians 5:11-13, “… you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. ‘Expel the wicked person from among you.'”

    Notice what Jesus says here:

Matthew 13:3-4, 19, “… ‘Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them… When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

Matthew 13:31-32, “… ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.‘”

Though the birds of the air seek to devour the good seed when the opportunity arises, Jesus says that birds are also nesting in the branches of the Kingdom. As followers of Christ, Jesus says that we are in the world but not of the world (John 17:15-16). In a similar way, even though Muslims nest in the kingdom of God, they are not of the Kingdom of God. While they are perched on the kingdom’s branches they look to devour the seed of truth from the hearts of those who hear it. One day, however, they will be separated from the kingdom forever.

Matthew 13:39b-42a, “The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire.”

Matthew 7:20-23, “… by their fruits you will know them. Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”

Lies must be exposed and Truth must be explained. It is my hope and prayer that there are Muslims visiting this site in whose hearts the Gospel of Christ can be planted, that they may come to understand it, believe it and to bear much fruit. Then they will truly be of the Kingdom of God and enter therein, not merely nest in its branches, but be grafted in.

Hi Anonymous, my bubble is not burst. I left it long ago for the Truth. If “Allah” is the same God that Christians believe in, then why is it that he is never mentioned even once in the Biblical texts? Scrolls and Biblical manuscripts that are dated before Mohammed (who said that the Scriptures were not corrupted during his time) never mention “Allah” one single time, which makes it evident that “Allah” was not the God of Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Isaac, nor of anyone else in the Bible. Not even Ishmael. Their God was and is Yahweh — a name that never appears as the name of any god outside the Judeo-Christian Scriptures, just like the name “Allah” never appears in the Judeo-Christian Scriptures. Although the word alah does exist in Hebrew, it is not a proper name and it never refers to God. It means a “curse” or “oath” or “ascend.” For example:

Zechariah 5:3a, 8a, ”… This is the curse [אָלָה – “alah”] that goes out over the face of the whole earth … This is Wickedness …”

Isaiah 24:6a, “Therefore the curse [“alah”] has devoured the earth, And those who dwell in it are desolate …”

It is an indisputable fact that ALLAH does not appear even once as the Name of God, or even of a man, in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is no word ‘alah’ or ‘allah’ in the Greek New Testament at all, either. It was, quite simply, unknown in the Bible world. To therefore claim that ‘Allah’ was the name of God in the Bible is without one single shred of evidence. The name of God has always been known as Yahweh, or (much less frequently) by the contraction Yah.

Whoever wrote this could do well with some education about what ‘halal’ means (allowed), what ‘Allah’ means (the one and only God)-you know, like the God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, etc., yes even Adam and Eve! May God bless them all and give them peace.
