Oklahoma: Hundreds Of Dead Birds Found Outside Walmart in Broken Arrow
“BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma — A News On 6 viewer became concerned Wednesday after shopping at a Broken Arrow Walmart Neighborhood Market when she said she saw hundreds of dead birds strewn across the parking lot.
‘I was grossed out at first, I was just like, wow,’ Amber Ross said.
Ross was shopping with her 6-month-old daughter at the 91st and Elm location. The stench hit her first.
‘It almost smelled like sewage,’ she said. ‘I had my daughter with me and I thought maybe it was her, at first, but it wasn’t.’
Ross’s giggle quickly ended when she started looking around.
‘I walked over towards Walmart and starting at the front of their door right there, walking all the ways toward the car, there’s just rows of dead birds,’ she said.
Ross shot video as she retraced her steps.
‘There were about 60-70 around each tree base, plus the ones starting up at the front of the store and going back along the sidewalk, so there were about 300 birds total,’ she said.” Read more.
Full Documentary: Rumors of War II
Matthew 24:6, “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”
“The rebirth of Israel in 1948 was the ‘super sign’ and there have been wars, and rumors of wars, and earthquakes, and persecution of believers for the last 2000 years. What we haven’t seen happen in the context of all the other prophecies coming true, is we haven’t seen — until 62 years ago — the rebirth of the State of Israel.” …

New Zealand: Airborne Kiwifruit Disease Spreads Beyond Contamination Zone
By Tony Field – “The kiwifruit vine-killing disease PSA has spread beyond the initial contamination zone.
Pseudomonas syringae pv. Actinidiae has been found in 19 more properties in Te Puke and has spread to two vineyards in the previously-unaffected Tauranga region.
It has put more urgency on the research that is underway to combat the disease.
The scientists at Plant and Food Research are part of an international effort to develop new varieties of kiwifruit that are more resistant to PSA but that will take years, so for now they have more immediate goals.
Doctor Bruce Campbell says they are trying to buy time for the industry.
‘[What] we are doing right now is testing products that can be applied in orchards this coming season to slow the spread of the disease.’
170 orchards now have the more serious PSA strand of the disease.
John Burke of Kiwifruit Vine Health says the disease is airborne and is spread through weather events.
‘We have had weather over the summer period, and late autumn, that is not conducive to holding the disease.'” Read more.
Analysis: Al-Qaida’s ‘Doomsday’ Revenge?
“It is a truism that the vice of revenge has motivated humans since the dawn of history. The August 6 downing of a NATO helicopter in Afghanistan killing 30 American troops is perhaps the latest demonstration of a Taliban proxy retaliation to avenge the spectacular loss of Osama bin Laden, al-Qaida’s legendary founder. The casualties included 22 Navy SEALs from Team Six, the secretive unit behind the daring raid that killed the leader on May 2 in Pakistan.
While it is premature to reach any definitive conclusion on the rationale for the Taliban’s deadliest attack, the frightening prospect is the new al-Qaida will seek to retaliate directly against the US in a big way with weapons of mass destruction. During the Nuclear Security Summit held in Washington, DC in April 2010, US President Barack Obama expressed his concerns about a ‘doomsday’ scenario. He warned that al-Qaida and other terrorist organizations ‘are in the process of trying to secure nuclear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction, and would have no compunction at using them.’
Now, four months after the Abbottabad operation and the death of the notorious mastermind of 9/11, the lingering question that still remains is al-Qaida’s worst revenge yet to come? Two reasons account for this likely eventuality. First is the persistent motivation of deep hatred towards the US and its friends and allies. For instance, in February 1998, bin Laden pronounced a fatwah (religious ruling) that Muslims should kill Americans, including civilians, anywhere in the world they could be found, and in the following May, he stated in a declaration titled ‘The Nuclear Bomb of Islam,’ that it is the duty of Muslims to prepare as much force as possible to attack the ‘enemies of God.’
Second is the network’s unending effort to obtain an unconventional capability. Bin Laden’s operatives have relentlessly searched for such weapons and the materials to build them. The lure of engaging in a successful WMD operation as a worthy follow-up to 9/11 still persists as a ‘divine force.’ The sights are definitely on something big. For example, in 2003, New York officials were alerted to a possible hydrogen cyanide gas attack by al-Qaida operatives on the New York subway system.
It didn’t materialize, supposedly called off by Ayman Zawahiri, at the time al-Qaida’s second in command, for ‘something better.'” Read more.
NASA Sun-Watching Satellite Spots Comet Elenin in Deep Space
“A NASA spacecraft aimed at the sun shifted its unblinking gaze to an approaching comet last week to snap a new photo of the icy object as it flew by.
The image shows the comet Elenin as it passed within 4.3 million miles (7 million kilometers) of one of NASA’s twin Stereo sun-watching spacecraft during a series of deep space photo sessions that began on Aug. 1. NASA rolled the Stereo-B satellite to give its instruments a view of the comet flyby, officials said.
From Stereo’s observations, the fuzzy comet Elenin can be seen streaking across a small portion of the sky. The comet was seen by Stereo’s HI-2 telescope between Aug. 1 to 5, and by the higher resolution HI-1 telescope between Aug. 6 to 12, NASA officials said. Stereo mission scientists planned to take photos for one-hour every day through Aug. 12.
‘From August 15 onward, the comet enters the HI-1 telescope’s nominal field of view, at which time we should enjoy continuous viewing of the comet,’ NASA researchers explained in an update posted to the Stereo mission website.
Comet Elenin is expected to become brighter over the next few days, and could be detectable using Stereo’s coronagraph instrument between Aug. 20 and Sept. 1, NASA officials said. Mission managers are then expecting the comet to become visible to another sun-watching spacecraft – NASA’s Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) – for six days, beginning on Sept. 23.” Read more.
Flashback: Russian Warning Issued Over ‘Controlled’ Comet Headed Towards Earth – “A chilling report prepared for President Medvedev by Minister Serdyukov of the Russian Defense Ministry on the building of an additional 5,000 underground ‘bomb’ shelters in Moscow warns that even though progress is being made, the appearance of the new Comet Elenin in our Solar System means ‘additional resources’ will have to be added ‘immediately’ as the 2012 timeline for completion ‘may not be soon enough’. Sparking the fears of Minister Serdyukov, he says in this report, is that based upon the new orbit calculations for Comet Elenin, it appears in ‘all likelihood’ that this celestial object is under some type of ‘intelligent control‘ and will approach our Earth ‘much closer’ than originally thought this coming fall season.” Read more.
