Full Steam Ahead: All Signs Say Iran is Racing Toward a Nuclear Bomb

07/08/2011 Leave a comment

By Yossi Melman – “…  Iran is determined to continue its nuclear program at full speed and is even accelerating the pace… Iran’s leadership is undaunted by the sanctions imposed on the country, or by the damage the Stuxnet computer worm caused to the program that operates the centrifuges at the uranium enrichment facility in Natanz. The Stuxnet worm has been ascribed to a sabotage operation undertaken by the Mossad and the CIA. According to foreign sources, it is one of the major achievements of former Mossad head Meir Dagan.

In the same announcement, Abbasi Davani said Iran has developed an advanced centrifuge model whose rotors spin at greater speed, thus enabling the enrichment of a larger amount of uranium in a shorter time. Such centrifuges, he said, will be constructed at the second uranium enrichment site that Iran built secretly near the Revolutionary Guards base just outside of Qom.

According to the reports of IAEA inspectors who visited it, the site, built deep inside a mountain, looks like a fortified facility made to withstand aerial bombardments. Its existence was revealed in September 2009 thanks to information obtained by the intelligence agencies of Israel, the U.S. and Britain. According to both diplomatic sources in Vienna and intelligence experts, the site at Qom, which contains only 3,000 centrifuges, can only have one goal – enriching uranium for the production of a nuclear weapon.” Read more.

Flashback: Iran believes it could destroy Israel with a single nuke – “Iran’s nuclear program seeks first-strike capability against Israel, a leading strategist said. The Israeli strategist and former intelligence officer said Iran believes it could destroy the Jewish state with one nuclear weapon. ‘Iranians believe that it holds, may hold, a first strike capability against Israel once it has a nuclear capability,’ said Shmuel Bar, director of studies at the Institute of Police and Strategy. Iran believes ‘that Israel is a one-bomb country, one bomb from the point-of-view of the receiving side; that the U.S. would not intervene against Iran under such conditions; and all of that with apocalyptic zeal may result in actual use of nuclear weapons,’ he said.” Read more.

Arizona Police Acknowledge that Islamist Terrorist Group Hezbollah is Operating in Mexico

Meh.  No worries.  The current border will stop any and all well-trained Hezbollah terrorists who want to get across the border dead in their tracks. After all, it’s very secure. More than ever. Napolitano says so, so it must be true.  No need for additional border security …

“Literally meaning ‘Party of God’, Hezbollah began as a militia in 1982 in response to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon. The Shi’a Islamist organization has since grown into a worldwide political and paramilitary network with seats in the Lebanese government, numerous social services programs, long-standing ties with the Syrian and Iranian governments, and an annual income estimated to be anywhere between $200-$400 million.

Hezbollah’s main goal is to cast out any form of Israeli rule and/or occupation. Due to the U.S.’ political and financial support of Israel, Hezbollah regards our nation as a viable target. While there is no immediate or confirmed threat to the Tucson area, recent events and the current middleeastern political arena merit a renewed awareness of the group’s capabilities and presence throughout the Western Hemisphere…

Based on a study done by Georgetown University, the number of immigrants from Lebanon and Syria living in Mexico exceeds 200,000. Along with Iran, Syria is one of Hezbollah’s strongest financial and political supporters, and Lebanon is its country of origin.

In July of this year, Mexican authorities arrested Jameel Nasr in Tijuana, Baja California. Nasr was alleged to be tasked with establishing the Hezbollah network in Mexico and throughout South America. In April of last year, the arrest of Jamal Yousef – in New York City – exposed a weapons cache of 100 M- 16 assault rifles, 100 AR-15 rifles, 2,500 hand grenades, C4 explosives and antitank munitions. According to Yousef, the weapons, which were being stored in Mexico, had been stolen from Iraq with the help of his cousin who was a member of Hezbollah.” Read more.

Muslim American Who Plotted Violent Jihad Against US Troops is Convicted

And it was just another fluke that this particular miscreant, hell bent on committing mass murder, was again an Islamist.  So there’s still no reason for the TSA to ever profile individuals such as this, that would just be silly and ‘Islamophobic’, even if they really do want to kill you …

“NEW YORK — A New York man who plotted violent jihad against US forces in the Middle East and the Balkans was convicted Thursday of conspiracy to commit murder and other charges, federal prosecutors here said.

Betim Kaziu was tried in a federal court trial in Brooklyn, where the charges against him included plotting to commit murder overseas and attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization, the US justice department said in a statement.

He was also convicted of conspiring to provide material support to terrorism and conspiring to use a machine gun to commit those crimes.

Prosecutors said that Kaziu, 23, traveled from New York to Cairo in February 2009 to wage jihad against US troops in the Middle East and the Balkans.

In Egypt, the defendant attempted to acquire automatic weapons and to travel to Somalia to join the radical Somali al-Shebab network, US authorities said.” Read more.

By Greg Layson – “GUELPH — The Township of Guelph-Eramosa immediately cordoned off the lake at Marden Park after dead fish began washing ashore Monday.

By Wednesday morning, hundreds of flies were dining on dozens of dead, blanched fish floating on their sides in the shallow shoreline. At least one dead bird was found rotting near the water.

Guelph-Eramosa chief administrative officer Janice Sheppard said a fisherman called the township Monday after he noticed the dead fish. She called the closure a precaution.

Snow fence now lines the perimeter of the lake. Signs warn people of a ‘public health concern’ and also read ‘Do not use the lake for: Swimming, drinking and do not eat the fish.'” Read more.

Oklahoma: Residents Concerned as Thousands of Dead Fish Litter the Red River

07/08/2011 Leave a comment

By Jalah Gray – “Love County, Oklahoma — Fishermen in a small community in southern Oklahoma are looking for answers after finding thousands of dead fish on the Red River.

‘I’ve never seen anything like it … they just..for some unknown reason they’re just dying,’ Bob Stewart.

Several residents in the Love County community of Courtney…near the Red River.. say thousands of fish have turned up dead over the past few days.

Lyndal Vanbuskirk and friends have been fishing the river for over 40 years now.

But this weekend they saw and smelled the stench from hundreds of fish carcasses out on dry land.

‘Something’s had to cause em to beach theirselves, it’s just not normal,’ said Lyndal Vanbuskirk.

Many of the locals tell us they suspect some sort of chemical spill…

And they say they’re concerned about people who are still eating fish from the river.” Read more.

Outbreaks of War and the Worst Drought in 60 Yrs Forcing 12 Million Africans to Fight for Survival; Texas Drought Officially Worst on Record

Matthew 24:6-7, “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.”

By Rohit Kachroo – “WAJIR, Kenya – At first glance, the massive drought which has swept across Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia appears to be a crisis caused entirely by nature.

As we traveled north through Kenya into one of the worst-hit areas, the lush green of the Nairobi suburbs disappeared into gray sand and dry earth. In three hours, I counted the carcasses of 27 cattle by the roadside, and one giraffe – apparently killed because the land could not sustain them. The striking images of the landscape seem to represent a deceptively simple assessment of the drought: the dirty work of Mother Nature.

‘The only reason for all the suffering in this region is the lack of rain,’ one desperate doctor told me as he lifted up yet another severely malnourished baby so that he could be weighed. The doctor is wrong.

Witness the outbreak of famine or drought and you’ll usually see that there has been an outbreak of war nearby. In this case, the lawlessless of war-torn Somalia is driving people into neighboring Kenya. In Ethiopia, high inflation and fast-rising food prices have also forced people out. Many of those refugees have been competing with the recently killed animals that we saw on our journey for water and food. Consider that and the deadly cocktail behind this current crisis doesn’t look so basic. Human hands are all over this.

Kenya’s refugee camps are packed. Dadaab, the biggest refugee camp in the world, was originally built for 90,000 people but now has 380,000 refugees, UNICEF officials told Reuters this week. About 10,000 more stream in each week.” Read more.

Worst Drought in History Scorches Texas And The Record Books – “The months-long Texas drought is sapping the record books bone dry and is racking up dire statistics that have never been reached since reliable record-keeping was started 116 years ago, according to figures from Texas A&M University researchers. Don Conlee, instructional associate professor of atmospheric sciences who, along with graduate student Brent McRoberts, also assists State Climatologist John Nielsen-Gammon with recordkeeping, confirms that the period from February through June was by far the driest on record with a statewide average of 4.26 inches of rain. The next driest occurred in 1917 with 6.45 inches.” Read more.
