Muslim Convert Police Shot Last Week During Traffic Stop Was Armed With Large Amount of Armor-Piercing Bullets
Another one-in-a-musillion chance that a man planning ‘something’ was Muslim. The Tacoma Police Department says that ‘the man’s intention with the gun is unknown’, but, come on, he wasn’t intending to hunt jack rabbits here through the shrubs of Washington. He, too, probably intended to make the headlines. It also seems to have been mere chance that the police stumbled upon this recent convert to the ‘religion of peace’. I wonder how many more lost Jihadi wannabes like Brooks Papineau are yet to be found? …
“KEY PENINSULA, Wash. — A man who was fatally shot by Tacoma police during a traffic stop early Wednesday morning pointed a gun loaded with armor-piercing bullets at the officer who stopped him and was carrying a large amount of ammunition in his truck, the Tacoma Police Department said.
Wednesday afternoon, the Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Brooks Papineau of Gig Harbor. He died of a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
‘The driver exited his vehicle armed with a gun, and the officer opened fire, striking the subject,’ said Mark Fulghum of the Tacoma Police Department.
When police searched Papineau’s truck, they found a large amount of ammunition and additional ammunition magazines. They also said they found a Koran and several books on converting to Islam.” Read more.
Certainly entitled to your opinion but unless you know what really happened or what the man was like as a person, shame on you for having such a harsh opinion him. There is no evidence that he was a recent convert…having possession of a religoius book does not mean you follow that religion. I have carried books in my car on Christianity, Buddhism, Mormons, Jehovah’s Winess and yes, the Koran. The books were to help me better understand each religion. I never converted, I remain an atheist.

Hi Stephanie, thank you for your comment. I understand your point, but the way I see it, it is not hard to deduce a possible motive here.
1. Carrying several books that are each all written for different religions suggests, if anything, that either you are simply studying world religions, or that you are very confused. Brooks Papineau was carrying several books, but they were all Islamic — the Qur’an, and multiple books on converting to Islam. This suggests to me that he was not confused in what religion he choose to follow.
2. In your case, although you had multiple books on various religions, I presume that you did not also have a large amount of armor-piercing bullets and additional ammunition magazines by your side and at your disposal as well as a sword. Brooks Papineau, a likely recent convert to Islam, did.
3. In your case, I suspect that if you were stopped by the police during any traffic violation you would not have gotten out of your vehicle and went after the police officer with a gun, or otherwise attacked the police officer, with any intent to maim or kill. Brooks Papineau did precisely that.
4. Moreover, according to federal authorities, right around this exact same time it was discovered that there were two other converts to Islam from the same area planning a Ft. Hood-style assault on a Seattle military installation in which they could kill military personnel and then either escape or die as ‘martyrs.’ What are the chances? I doubt that any recent converts to multiple religions from your area were caught planning a mass killing right around the same time you had the multiple religious books in your vehicle.
Although we may never fully know with certainty Papineau’s motive, the evidence, though circumstantial, all points in one direction. Your situation, however, is completely different and a logical deduction points to an entirely different conclusion. There is just no comparison between the two.

Your bigotry is clearly gettting in front of your ability to deduce anything. What you refer to as logical deduction is first grade at best. Get an education before passsing your self as a person of knowledge.

All bark. No bite. No explanation. No surprise. Please demonstrate, if you can, where the ‘first grade’ logical flaw exists with respect to Brooks Papineau’s possible motive. I look forward to reviewing your vastly superior abilities in logic and reason. ;)

Sick analysis and reporting. I knew Brooks. He was a good man. He was NOT Muslim — the police intentionally lied about this. You seem to believe everything the police spokesman tells the media. The police spokesman protects his own — that is his job. Telling the truth is not part of his job, so don’t treat his words as gospel truth.

If the information is itself ‘sick’ because of bad information from the police, then the conclusion may of course be wrong. But based upon the information that was provided, the analysis itself is sound imho.
