A week before Passover, one of those flunkies announced that the administration was both ‘deeply concerned’ and ‘very worried’ about new Jewish homes in Jerusalem. A day later Jewish families hoping to be able to live in their own holy city were greeted with the announcement that approval for more housing had been suspended to avoid offending the little man with the big ears in the White House.

The Obama Administration has spent more time condemning housing in Jerusalem, than genocide in the Sudan. If some parts of Israel are constantly being shelled by terrorists, the Gilo neighborhood of Jerusalem is constantly being shelled by administration spokesmen. Year after year, the people of an overcrowded city are frustrated in their efforts to find a place to live, when some White House or State Department flunky finishes sipping his coffee, gets up in front of a microphone and expresses the grave concern of his master that a new condominium might go up in a place where Jews had been living long before the religion of Obama’s grandmother was even a twinkle in her mad prophet’s eye.” Read more.

Gulf Oil Disaster Still Puzzles Scientists

By John D. Sutter, CNN – “One year after the chocolaty crude started spewing out of the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, leading to the largest accidental oil spill in history, scientists say they’re still trying to piece together what’s happening to the environment.

Some potential clues about the impact of the spill have made themselves known: dead baby dolphins and sea turtles; oiled brown pelicans; fish with strange sores; sticky marsh grasses; tar balls on beaches.

But the big picture hasn’t come into focus yet.

Did the oil spill shatter the Gulf’s food chain? Will fish have trouble reproducing because of exposure to hydrocarbons? What did those dispersants, which were supposed to break up the oil, do to the ecosystem on the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico? Or did the Earth already heal itself?” Read more.

Nigerian President: Violence After Muslim Lost Election “Was Not a Spontaneous Reaction”

“Indeed it wasn’t, on many levels. As with the rampages in Afghanistan and Pakistan that used the Qur’an burning in Florida as a pretext (which, ironically, wound up burning untold numbers of Qur’ans in the process), the inclination toward violence was already there, waiting for another excuse to make a show of force and abuse non-Muslims. And as with those ‘protests,’ we have seen that even the flimsiest of pretexts will do. If it is not one excuse du jour, it might be the next day’s ‘provocation’ or ‘humiliation.’

These incidents would not happen — and would not keep happening — if not for an able and willing populace, and pre-existing hatred and intolerance of non-Muslims.

Here, of course, there is another angle. It is quite reasonable for President Jonathan to surmise that many Muslims in the north were poised and ready to let loose once the votes were counted. The election results show the Muslim candidate didn’t stand a chance, but that didn’t matter: if the Muslims could win the election, Islamic law could advance that way. Islamists Plant 330 Pound Bomb Under Pipeline Near Church in Indonesia

Senior security minister Djoko Suyanto said he believed Islamic militants had been plotting an attack ahead of Easter celebrations, and the U.S. embassy urged Americans to be vigilant.

New Christian Convert from Islam Murdered in Somalia

“NAIROBI, Kenya, April 20 (CDN) — Two Muslim extremists in Somalia on Monday (April 18) murdered a member of a secret Christian community in Lower Shabele region as part of a campaign to rid the country of Christianity, sources said.

An area source told Compass two al Shabaab militants shot 21-year-old Hassan Adawe Adan in Shalambod town after entering his house at 7:30 p.m.

‘Two al Shabaab members dragged him out of his house, and after 10 minutes they fired several shots on him,’ said an area source who requested anonymity. “He then died immediately.”

The militants then shouted ‘Allahu Akbar [God is greater]’ before fleeing, he said.”  Read more.

‘Thousands and Thousands’ of Dead Fish Found Near Big Warrambool Dam in Australia

“A phone call to the Ridge News on Tuesday morning alerted us to the amount of European Carp fish in a dam at Big Warrambool.

There are thousands and thousands of dead fish on the water and line the banks metres deep.

It is a mystery why they have all died, but a Lightning Ridge local fisherman suggests there is not enough oxygen in the water for the amount of fish.

There is still an amazing amount of fish with their mouths out of the water, they will probably also die.

These fish must have been washed down in flood water and have been left behind in the dam as the waters have dried up.”  Read more.
