“My name is Walid Shoebat.  I was born as a Muslim who desired the destruction of God’s people.  In trying to disprove the God of the Bible, I actually found Him.  Now I have dedicated my life to revealing the truth about Islam.  In this series we will discuss Biblical end times prophecy and what the God of the Bible has to say about the very days we are living in …” – Walid Shoebat.

We need to pray for Walid–I’m sure there’s quite a few people who would like to get rid of him. He is very bold and, at least in the recent past, has gone around speaking at college campuses, and endured a lot of vocal opposition from Muslim College Student groups.

I agree. Fortunately, his message is getting out regardless of the opposition he faces. When God wants something done, it gets done.

Just watched it–that was the clearest presentation of Islam in a few minutes I have ever seen. He compellingly weaved together prophetic scriptures of Christ’s return and conquests found in the OT. This was really well done–bravo!

Walid shares his opinion of Daniel 9:27, which lines up with traditional dispensationalism’s view regarding a seven-year ‘peace treaty’ (a view which I do not share), and compares this view with the Islamic teaching that the Mahdi will rule for seven years and enforce a ‘hudna’ — an Islamic peace agreement — that will begin during this time with the enemies of Islam, and how it will mirror the Battle of Quraysh. He also touches on Ezekiel 38 and some of the details surrounding the final battle between Israel and the Islamic world.

I thought Epis 7 was really interesting teaching on OT allusions/references to the origins of what became Islam–best yet. I wonder if there are other scholars who can corroborate some of Shoebat’s interpretations, such as the swirling seas around the tree referencing the circling of the Kabah?

I think the Bel/Allah, Sanballet, Jerubbaal insights were solid, and eye opening. Same with the falling star/Kabah meteorite. Reiterated for me my understanding of Trumpets 5 & 6.

Shoebat is really stirring things up lately!! Showing up a lot in wikis of his name.

It was very good. I do disagree with his view however regarding the image of the Beast and associating it with the rock that fell from the sky in Acts 19:35. Although this could very well be the Kaaba (which is an idol of Islamic worship — cf. Rev. 9:20-21; Isa 2:11-18 — despite Islamic claims to the contrary), the Greek text does not call the stone of Acts 19:35 an ‘image’ at all, though some English translations include the word ‘image’ such as the KJV and NIV, but in brackets or italicized to demonstrate that the word is not in the Greek. The ESV and RSV merely call it a ‘sacred stone’, while Young’s Literal Translation doesn’t call it even that:

ESV Acts 19:35, “And when the town clerk had quieted the crowd, he said, “Men of Ephesus, who is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple keeper of the great Artemis, and of the sacred stone that fell from the sky?”

RSV Acts 19:35, “And when the town clerk had quieted the crowd, he said, “Men of Ephesus, what man is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple keeper of the great Ar’temis, and of the sacred stone that fell from the sky?”

YLT Acts 19:35, “And the public clerk having quieted the multitude, saith, `Men, Ephesians, why, who is the man that doth not know that the city of the Ephesians is a devotee of the great goddess Artemis, and of that which fell down from Zeus?”

In my opinion, I believe that the image of the Beast refers to everything revered in Islam (the Qur’an, Hadiths, Mohammed, Allah, Kaaba, Mecca, Jihad, etc) including the Ummah itself (the false “church” of Islam) which instructs the world to submit to Islam, to mirror its example in submission to Allah/the prophet/Islam as it is written in the Qur’an. Also consider that the Papacy is to Catholicism what the Caliphate is to Islam, for example. Just as an image unto the Papacy would mean being conformed to the likeness of Catholicism, an image unto the Caliphate/Mohammed means to therefore being conformed to the likeness of Islam. Just as Jesus is the visible image (eikōn) of the invisible God (Col 1:15) and as believers we are conformed to the image (eikōn) of Christ (Rom 8:29) who is the Word of God, so too is the Ummah made unto the image (eikōn) of the Beast in accordance to the Qur’an — a reflection of what the Qur’an says per their prophet Mohammed. But of course I could be wrong. We won’t know with absolutely certainty until all is revealed in full. This one just makes the most sense to me.

I thoroughly enjoyed some of the parallels he drew from the Old Testament narratives involving the crescent moon and found them to be very insightful.

Episode 8 can now be watched:

    http://www.shoebat.com/videos/ett8.php

In this episode Walid discusses the blaspheming nature of the ‘name’ of the Beast and why its Mark has nothing to do with tattoos and microchips or anything that someone could accidentally embrace or receive, but instead is an ’emblem’ or ‘symbol’ that identifies one’s allegiance or submission to the Beast’s kingdom and the values & beliefs that this kingdom represents. “It is something that one must choose to accept willfully.”

Although Walid continues to then describe in the second half of the episode that this may be a ‘badge’ that Islamists wear around the foreheads or right-hand side or arm (which is one possibility), I believe that the Mark is first and foremost spiritual in nature, which his definition above infers.

In the final segment Walid speaks briefly about the ‘whore of Babylon’ and identifies this harlot as …

In this episode (Part 1 of 2), Walid dives into the use of symbolism and allegory in Scripture to help us gain a better understanding of the Biblical text, particularly Daniel and Revelation. Discussed are terms such as “mountains”, “waters”, “rivers”, “heads”, “beast”, “name”, “the dragon” …

Walid concludes Part 1 by explaining the identity of the final beast of Revelation.
