Have you written anything about the Millennium? If so where?
Hi Tony, I haven’t written an article on the Millennium specifically, but I have commented on it from time to time. Read through this comment for example.
Do you believe there will be a literal 1000 year reign of Messiah on earth
Yes, I believe in a literal, future 1000 year Messianic Kingdom.
Thanks for your reply. Interested in your view re Antichrist and Islam. One question – if the mark of the beast is Islamic confession of faith – then how can any Muslims be saved ?Revelation says that if anyone takes the mark then they are damned. Obviously people who have been Muslims can get saved and we pray for that and seek for it.
Hi Tony, I don’t view the Mark of the Beast as the Islamic confession of faith itself. It is evidence of it (a step toward receiving it), but in and of itself the Shahada is not the Mark. The Mark of the Beast is not something that is taken by someone in the sense that it is openly accepted by the recipient, but is rather something that is received because it is given to them. From what I read in Scripture, God marks those who are in Christ upon their foreheads with the seal of Christ, but it is also God who marks those who have fully and completely given themselves over to the Beast with the Mark of the Beast because the Mark “is a clear indication of complete rejection of Jesus Christ; it demonstrates that the possessor of the mark has reached such a place or condition of hardness that it precludes repentance or faith in Christ. Receiving the mark of the beast, then, terminates one’s chance to receive Jesus Christ. It is equivalent to death for Tribulation people. It is proof they will never receive Jesus Christ, and God knows this absolutely.” [Source]. Their fate has been sealed. Consider, for instance, what Paul writes below:
There are Muslims today who leave Islam and come to faith in Christ, but just because they were once Muslim and spoke the Shahada does not automatically mean that they had therefore received the Mark and were eternally condemned. Those who receive the Mark are they who refuse, and will always refuse, to repent (Rev 9:20-21; 16:9-11). Not those who will. The Holy Spirit of God in His Omniscience knows who they are without question.
For your consideration, I touch on this briefly in the Revelation 13: A Commentary article (see section regarding Revelation 13:8). Hope this helps. God bless …
