Geert Wilders’ Speech, 4/30/2012, Gatestone Institute:
I am happy to be in New York again, even though in my country today it is Queen’s day, a national celebration. This is why I am wearing my orange tie.
Thank you, Nina, for organizing this event and giving me the opportunity to address all of you. It is always good to be among friends. It is an honor to be here in the presence of so many people who care for the preservation of freedom in our civilization.
It is great to be in America, the beacon of liberty, the land of the free, the land where people are still allowed to speak freely. I know what I am talking about. I was acquitted after a legal ordeal that lasted almost 3 years. I had been brought to court for criticizing Islam.
Though at the end of the day I was acquitted, the court case had been a disgrace. It was a time-, money- and energy-consuming nightmare. This charade that happened in the Netherlands for the last few years could not have happened in your great country, where the First Amendment guarantees people the freedom to express their opinions.
The first Amendment is what we need in the Netherlands and Europe.
I am in New York for the release of my book “Marked for Death”. It explains why Islam is the largest threat to freedom which the world is currently facing. It argues why Islam is a Read more…
By DR. LAINA FARHAT-HOLZMAN, Family Security Matters – “There are two ways to analyze the violent eruption of global terrorist attacks that have marked the past three decades: analyze the nature of the threat and the culture supporting it, or blame it all on the evils of Western colonialism and American militarism. The latter analysis is the choice of the ‘politically correct,’ who say that terrorism is as rampant in the West as it is in the Muslim world. A truth check, however, will tell us that for every Western terrorist (such as Timothy McVeigh), there are hundreds almost exclusively from the Muslim world.
If colonialism is the villain of this piece, why do ideologues only talk about Western colonialism? Why ignore that Arab Muslims (and European Christians) suffered under 500 years of Ottoman Turkish colonialism well before Western colonization? And how about the Muslim world in Central Asia that suffered under both Russian Tsarist and Communist colonialism?
Arabs themselves were dreadful imperialists (700-1,000 A.D.) and every land they conquered is still dysfunctional today, according to Harvard economics professor, Eric Chaney: ‘Democratic Change in the Arab World, Past and Present,’ in the April 7 Economist and Fareed Zakaria in Time, April 7. Wherever Arabs conquered, good governance and economic development were smothered, as they are today. This is even true for countries temporarily conquered but not converted to Islam by the Arabs (Spain, Portugal, Southern Italy).
Islamist terrorism is not just aimed at the West (revenge for colonization), but also at Thailand (Buddhist); Muslim Indonesia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Saudi Arabia; and Nigeria, where jihadis murdered Christian church goers on Easter Sunday. Black slavery was an Arab business long before it was European. Read more…
Oh, the wonders of Islamic logic. If earthquakes are caused by women’s clothes, maybe nail polish is responsible for Iran’s lack of rain. Considering how hot and bothered the Iranian authorities are over what women wear and how they look, you’d think that this is all somehow contributing to global warming …
Female police officers will be responsible for detecting and warning women who fail to dress in line with the moral code of the Iranian authorities. Officers too will be dressed in black burqas, and will be instructing Iranian women on how to cover themselves the right way. Routine hand checks will also be conducted to prevent any use of nail polish.
The entire police force on dress code duty will be working overtime to cover every street in Iran, daily Vatan reported.
Similar regulations have been applied in previous years as well, under which women could be released from custody upon signing a paper agreeing to dress “properly.” Several incidents of violent confrontations have taken place during patrols, according to media reports, including incidents where officers used force against women who objected to their claims.
A woman can even face a prison sentence for refusing to change her dress following an official warning.” Source – Hurriyet Daily News.
Iranian Authorities Arrest Two More Christian Converts, One Family Taunted To ‘Ask Jesus Christ To Come’ And Save Daughter
He will. I guarantee you, He will …
Mohabat News – “A number of plain clothes security officers raided the homes of two Christian converts in Tehran simultaneously and arrested them. The mother of one of the detained Christians asked, ‘Where are you taking my daughter?’ But the authorities ironically replied, ‘Ask Jesus Christ to come and release her’!
According to reporters of Iranian Christian news agency, Mohabat News, reports from Tehran state that on the morning of April 14, 2012 some security authorities raided the homes of two Christian converts by the names of Ladan N. and Hooman H. simultaneously and arrested them there.
The security authorities, among whom were plain clothes agents, entered the homes without showing any warrant and arrested the two Christians without providing any explanation. Both Christians were then transferred to an unknown location immediately following their arrest.
A source aware of the situation, confirmed the news and told Mohabat News, ‘The agents were wearing plain clothes and did not introduce themselves. They forced their way into the house and took Ladan with them. They didn’t even allow her to put on appropriate clothes. In reply to her mother’s question, ‘Where are you taking my daughter?’ they just said, ‘Ask Jesus Christ to come and release her’!
According to this knowledgeable source, the authorities thoroughly searched the house and confiscated a number of her personal belongings including her laptop, camera and books as well as pictures of her friends being baptized in a foreign country.
The report says that the families of these detained Christians are unaware of their situation and are very worried about their health. Their efforts to visit their children and obtain information on their situation have been to no avail.” Read more.
Michigan: Small Town of Allegan Submits to Islamists, Silences Convert To Christianity From Extolling The Virtues Of The US Constitution
Getting down on your knees towards Mecca and touching your forehead on the ground is only one of many ways that people today are bowing down to the god of Islam. Here is another …
By Chad Groening, OneNewsNow – “A law firm that defends and promotes Christian heritage and moral values has filed a lawsuit in response to authorities in a Michigan community stopping a speech that was critical of Islamic sharia law.
On January 26, 2012, Muslim terrorist-turned-Christian Kamal Saleem was addressing an assembly in the auditorium at Allegan High School. The event was an effort to extol the virtues of the U.S. Constitution and ‘American Laws for American Courts.’ Saleem discussed the effort by State Rep. David Agema (R) to pass HB 4769, or the ‘Restriction of Application of Foreign Laws Act,’ which bans the use of foreign laws in the state.
Erin Mersino is trial counsel at the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC). Despite the fact that no one in the audience protested the speech, she says Allegan police interrupted Saleem’s presentation and ordered that the event be shut down.
‘They were supposed to be acting as security,’ Mersino reports. ‘However, on the day of the event, after the high school received this letter from CAIR saying that they should not allow Kamal Saleem to speak, then all of a sudden the event is shut down.’
She contends that the Council on American-Islamic Relations cannot just step in and use its bullying power to silence someone else’s free-speech rights.
‘They are using their power to step in and say, ‘Don’t allow this person to speak. They don’t have views that are similar to ours, so they must be silenced,” the attorney argues. ‘And how did the school district react? To comply with CAIR’s wishes.’” Read more.
By RANDY KREIDER, ABC News – “The men who launched al Qaeda’s English-language magazine may have died in a U.S. missile strike last fall, but ‘Inspire’ magazine lives on without them — and continues to promote jihadi attacks on Western targets, offering detailed advice on how to start huge forest fires in America with timed explosives and how to build remote-controlled bombs.
Two new issues of ‘Inspire’ magazine have surfaced on jihadi forums, the first since radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki and chief Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula propagandist Samir Khan were killed by missiles from a U.S. drone over Yemen on September 30, 2011. The magazines eulogize Awlaki and Khan as the ‘spirit’ and the ‘tongue’ of ‘Inspire’ respectively, but deny that their deaths will stop the magazine or jihad.
The second of the two issues seems to have been prepared after Khan and Awlaki’s deaths. ‘To the disappointment of our enemies,’ says one of the articles, ‘issue 9 of Inspire magazine is out against all odds … The Zionists and the Crusaders thought that the magazine was gone with the martyrdom of Shaykh Anwar and brother Samir. Yet again, they have failed to come to terms with the fact that the Muslim ummah is the most fertile and most generous mother that gives birth to thousands and thousands of the likes of Shaykh Anwar and brother Samir.’
… ‘It Is of Your Freedom to Ignite a Firebomb,’ which gives detailed instructions on how to ignite an ‘ember bomb’ in a U.S. forest, recommending Montana because of the rapid population growth in wooded areas.
‘In America, there are more houses built in the [countryside] than in the cities,’ says the writer, who uses the pseudonym The AQ Chef. ‘It is difficult to choose a better place [than] in the valleys of Montana.’
Issue eight has an eight-page article on how to construct a remote-controlled explosives, with a laundry list of parts and ingredients and photos showing proper assembly.
In addition, issue eight provides tips on training with a handgun and issue nine provides advice on how to be an urban assassin.” Read more.
Seems like quite a lot of troops for border patrol. Either they’re quite worried about what is sprouting up out of the “Arab Spring” in Egypt and Syria, or something else is in play that isn’t being reported …
By Aaron Kalman, The Times of Israel – “The IDF has issued emergency call up orders to six reserve battalions in light of new dangers on the Egyptian and Syrian borders. And the Knesset has given the IDF permission to summon a further 16 reserve battalions if necessary, Israeli media reported on Wednesday.
An IDF spokesperson said intelligence assessments called for the deployment of more soldiers.
According to 2008′s Reserve Duty Law, combat soldiers can be called for active reserve duty once every three years, and for short training sessions during the other two. Rising tensions between Israel and Egypt and the ongoing unrest in Syria caused the army to ask the Knesset for special permission to call up more soldiers, more often.
The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee approved the request recently, enabling the IDF to summon up to 22 battalions for active duty for the second time in three years. Already, the army has called up six of them.
‘This signifies that the IDF regards the Egyptian and Syrian borders as the potential source of a greater threat than in the past,’ the former deputy chief of staff, Dan Harel, said on Wednesday night.” Read more.
Arab Spring Anarchy in the Sinai: 50 Terrorist Attacks on Police – “The blossoms of the ‘Arab Spring’ uprising in Egypt last year have wilted under a reign of terror in the Sinai, where Al Qaeda and other jihadi cells have carried out 50 terrorist attacks on police since the beginning of the January 25 uprising. Israel has frequently posted warnings to tourists not to visit the popular Sinai Peninsula and Red Sea resorts, but thousands of Israelis, most of them backpackers, still ignore the threats. Security sources in Egypt told the Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper that Rafiah, which straddles the border at Gaza and Egypt, and central Sinai are under out of control of Egyptian police and soldiers.” Read more.
Dozens of Deaths Continue in Syria Despite ‘Ceasefire’ Plan – “Dozens have been killed by government forces in Syria so far this week despite attempts to enforce a UN-brokered “ceasefire plan,” an ongoing issue that the arrival two weeks ago of an advance team of 24 international peacekeeping observers has not been able to change. The six-point peace plan advanced by UN and Arab League envoy Kofi Annan was supposed to have gone into effect 20 days ago.” Read more.
